Abstract

Abstract

SUNMOR GOR Satria is a traditional market that only operates on Sundays, located in front of GOR Satria Purwokerto. Its strategic location and main road (Car Free Day) makes GOR busier than usual. This results in an increase in visitor consumption expenditure at Sunmor because the large number of goods traded can provide several choices for visitors to shop according to their wishes and needs. This research aims to analyze the influence of income, education level, age, travel distance and gender on visitor consumption expenditure. This research uses primary data totaling 100 respondents with a purposive sampling technique. The data analysis technique used is Multiple Linear Regression Analysis. The research results show that income, age and travel distance have a significant influence on visitor consumption expenditure at Sunmor GOR Satria Purwokerto. Meanwhile, education level and gender do not have a significant effect on consumption expenditure at Sunmor GOR Satria Purwokerto

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the effect of savings amount, credit, and member participation on the distribution of the cooperative's Net Income (SHU) among its members, with a case study on the Tegalkatilayu Group of the Village Unit Cooperative (KUD) Mino Saroyo in Cilacap Subdistrict, South Cilacap District. Cooperatives, particularly KUDs, play an important role in empowering rural communities, although their contribution to the national economy remains relatively low. This research used a simple random sampling method with a sample of 99 cooperative members who work as fishermen. Data was collected through interviews and analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results show that savings, credit, and member participation have a positive influence on SHU received by cooperative members. Among these variables, the savings amount is the most dominant factor affecting the SHU received. These findings indicate that the greater the members’ contributions and involvement in cooperative activities, the greater the financial benefits they receive. Therefore, active involvement of cooperative management is needed to encourage member participation so that the cooperative can grow and provide optimal economic benefits to its members.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has impacted on various economic sectors, one of which is the agricultural sector. This important role of the agricultural sector often ignores the socio-economic conditions of the farmer's household. This research aims to analyze the degree of food security of farmer households during of the Covid-19 pandemic. The method used is the descriptive quantitative method using income and expenditure variables of farmers' households in the last month. The results showed that calculation of the structure of the household income of farmers is dominated by the structure of income from farming by 82.63 %, while the rest comes from non-farming by 17.37 %. Then for the expenditure structure of farmer households, non-food expenditures are greater than food expenditures, which is 59 % compared to food expenditures of 41 %. This gives an understanding that farmers' income is quite high and tends to spend their income to meet needs outside of food (non-food). By using indicators of food security, namely the level of food subsistence and the share of food expenditure, then farmer households in Kebasen District, Banyumas Regency are classified as high or food Unresistant during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Abstract

The Ministry of Trade revealed that there are 41 wet markets in 12 provinces in Indonesia suffering from damage, 50 percent of which are due to incomplete and inadequate market facilities. From a survey of 3,956 markets, 95 percent of them have a physical building over 25 years. In Banyumas regency there are two wet markets that have experienced the revitalization program, namely those in Cilongok and Sokaraja. However, this research focused on Cilongok market. This research aims to compare consumer assessment toward the level of cleanliness, safety, orderliness, and lighting, level of favorability and frequency of consumer visit to Cilongokwetmarket. This study used a comparative descriptive method to compare consumers’ assessment. The before-after approach is used to assess the effectiveness of the treatment, characterized by an average difference before and after treatment. This research surveyed 100 respondents selected by accidental sampling. Data were collected by questionnaire-based exit interview. Data of the assessment pre-revitalization are obtained by recall method. Data were then analyzed using paired sample t-test. The results show that consumer assessment toward the level of cleanliness, safety, orderliness, and lighting of the Cilongokwet market after revitalization is higher than that before revitalization. Moreover, their level of favorability and frequency of visiting the market are higher, too. The results imply that revitalization of wet markets has been perceived positively by consumers, which has affected their frequency of shopping, thereby improving the competitiveness of the wet market against the modern market.

Abstract

In Indonesia, which consists of thousands of islands, it is very likely that there will be population inequality between islands. The government initiated the transmigration program to collectively encourage a more even distribution of the population, especially outside Java. The condition of the transmigration location with agricultural potential has encouraged most of the transmigrants to have their main livelihood as farmers. One of the transmigration destinations in Indonesia is Bengkulu Province, which is spread over eight regencies, but Seluma Regency is the only district that is included in the 3T (Frontier, Isolated, Underdeveloped) in Bengkulu Province which is allocated for the settlement of transmigrants, and the Settlement Unit 3 Pagar Banyu is one of the transmigration destinations since 2007. This study aims to analyze the effect of farm diversification, land size, family labor, and non-farm income on transmigrant household income. The population in this study consists of 50 transmigrant households in the settlement unit 03 Pagar Banyu, Ulu Talo District, Seluma Regency, all selected as respondents. Data were collected through interviews based on questionnaires, which were then analyzed with multiple linear regression. The results of this study indicate that farm diversification, land size, family labor, and non-farm income have a positive and significant effect on the income of transmigrant households. The results imply that transmigrant households should optimize farming in terms of diversification, land size, use of family labor, and engagement in non-farm income opportunities to increase income. Furthermore, the government should provide policies that focus on developing transmigrant farming.
