Abstract

Abstract

Writing is a skill that expresses or conveys ideas, one is able to write after reading many other writings, therefore it takes skill in writing short story text so that students are interested or persuaded for a learning process. A short story is a literary work which is a short story can be read once sitting, the method that researchers use in this research using problem posing approach. A problem-posing approach is an approach in which the child is invited to pose a problem or make a question of the existing text. This method is very suitable to use because it can make the students active in the class. This study aims to improve writing skills, especially vocational students. Therefore, it is expected in this method they have the freedom to express what is thought in the form of writing. If this approach is done continuously it will produce a work that is powerless and worthy to be read by audiences. With the problem-posing approach, the authors hope this research can improve the skills of writing short stories of students because through the approach of problem posing will make students insightful.

Abstract

One of the skills in writing at school is writing poetry in Indonesian subjects. Based on empirical data in the field, researchers often find that when students are given learning to write poetry, many students are less enthusiastic and do not really take part in writing poetry. One alternative solution to problems in overcoming difficulties is to increase creativity, motivation and the ability to write poetry in class X, namely by using the Quantum Writing Method. The Quantum Writing method is a learning method that refers to the quantum learning model. This study used a Classroom Action Research design. The subjects of this research were 20 students of class X TP2 KB Pusdikpal SMK. The instruments used were observation and tests. Data collection techniques in this study include observation, interviews and documentation. Based on the results, it is known that the application of the Quantum Writing learning method in class X TP2 of SMK KB Pusdikpal can improve learning to write poetry. The average score of students in cycle 1 in writing poetry using the Quantum Writer method after receiving 69.5 actions or is in the enough category. The average score of students in cycle II in writing poetry using the Quantum Writer method after receiving action was 85.05 or in the good category. The results show that the value obtained includes the high criteria. The results show that the value obtained includes the high criteria. Based on the results, it is known that the application of the Quantum Writing learning method in class X TP2 of SMK KB Pusdikpal can improve learning to write poetry.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe: (1) Indonesian errors in scientific papers, (2) factors causing errors (3) solutions to minimize language errors. This research is qualitative descriptive research with a sample of scientific papers of level 1 students. Purposive sampling techniques are used to obtain research data as well as through interview and document analysis. The interactive analysis model is used as a data analysis technique, this technique includes four components, namely data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and verification. The results that can be concluded from this study are 1) there are errors at the linguistic level which include 65% errors in the field of morphology, 20% errors in the field on syntax and 15% errors in the field of semantic 2) factors that cause these errors, namely students inaccuracy in heading linguistic rules, lack of understanding of student and ineffective ways of delivering material by lecturers 3) the solution to overcome these language errors is to increase the accuracy of students and lectures using teaching materials that can increase student motivation in learning.

Abstract

The background of this research refers to the problem of code mixing in speaking skills learning activities at school. The problem of code mixing between Indonesian and Sundanese is an obstacle experienced by students, especially when presenting in class, so several solutions are needed to overcome it. The aim of this research is to determine the effectiveness of memoriter presentations in improving students' speaking abilities. This research used a qualitative descriptive methodology with twenty-two grade 7 students at SMPN 4 Cibinong as research subjects. Data collection was carried out through observations, interviews and classroom actions. Based on the research results, it shows that memoriter presentations are effective in improving speaking skills in class so that the problem of code mixing can be overcome through language instruction when the presentation is made.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the lack of enthusiasm and motivation of students in learning, especially in procedural texts. So to overcome this, an appropriate learning model is needed. The aim of this research is to analyze student responses to procedure learning material using a Problem Based Learning approach supported by the Canva application. This research uses quantitative descriptive methodology. The subjects of this research were class VII students at SMPN 16 Cimahi. One of the data collection techniques used is a Likert scale for graphing student responses. There are some positive statements and some negative statements. The questionnaire data marking technique is carried out by calculating the frequency of responses containing SS (Strongly Agree), S (Agree), TS (Disagree), and STS (Strongly Disagree) for each positive and negative statement. Research findings show that student responses in class are included in the good category, namely 70% positive responses and 30% negative responses.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) has reshaped the higher education landscape, raising concerns about the integrity of academic writing, including issues such as plagiarism, hallucination, and the decline of students' critical thinking skills, primarily associated with conventional generative models or Large Language Models (LLMs). This paper aims to conduct a comparative analysis between the use of LLMs and the Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) framework, with a case study focusing on the NotebookLM platform, specifically to identify RAG's potential in enhancing academic integrity and facilitating authentic sourcing. Employing a quantitative approach, the research targeted data collection from 37 student respondents from the Indonesian Language Education Study Program at IKIP Siliwangi through a structured questionnaire. The hypothesis posits that the RAG framework can effectively integrate information from external knowledge bases to address three main issues: 1) the way students obtain references in scientific writing, 2) the reduction of source hallucination in writing, and 3) the encouragement of students to become active knowledge curators.
