Abstract

The current situation of the Covid-19 pandemic in Indonesia has also greatly affected the access of pregnant women to health services. This study aimed to analyze the factors that influence the behavior of mothers in choosing birth attendants during the Covid-19 pandemic in the work area of the Gunung Tua Health Center in 2021. This research is a mixed method research with the Reseacrh explanatory design. The research was conducted in the working area of the Gunung Tua Health Center in October-November 2021. There were 54 samples and 15 informants, namely those who gave birth in August – Septermber 2021. Quantitative data analysis was carried out with Chi-square test and logistic regression test. While qualitative analysis is carried out with interactive analysis. The univariate analysis was that of 54 respondents, most of them were aged 36-45 years, namely 21 (38.9%) respondents, had a high school education level of 30 (55.6%) respondents, had an IRT job, which was 29 (53.7%) respondents. Bivariate results show that knowledge (p=0.040), attitude (p=0.006), trust (p=0.000), availability of access (p=0.000), family support (p=0.000), health worker information (p=0.000) affect the mother's behavior in choosing a birth aid during the Covid-19 pandemic. The most influential factor is the availability of access. Conclusion : A safe maternity place during the covid 19 pandemic is home, The maternal childbirth ratio is second and third, mothers feel worried about giving birth during the pandemic and the way for mothers to think positively is to encourage themselves, get closer to god by praying diligently. It is recommended that pregnant women can increase their knowledge in choosing childbirth helpers by actively following counseling carried out by health workers.

Abstract

Breastfeeding is an important factor in the survival of the baby. Efforts to reduce infant mortality need special attention to infant health, from care at birth to proper feeding. Forknowing and analyzing the factors that influence exclusive breastfeeding in the Working Area of the South Kluet Health Center in 2022. This type of research uses quantitative research with research methods that are analytical surveys with a Cross Sectional approach. This research was conducted in the Working Area of the South Kluet Health Center in 2022. The population was 94 people with a total sampling technique of 94 respondents. Quantitative data analysis with univariate, bivariate and multivariate analysis. Results : Based onThe chi-square test was obtained at the cultural level variable p = 0.015, knowledge p = 0.001, attitude p = 0.018, husband support p = 0.009, birth attendant support p = 0.000, which indicates there are influencing factors. Conclusion: There is a relationship between culture, knowledge, attitudes, husband's support and birth attendant support for exclusive breastfeeding in the working area of the South Kluet Health Center in 2022, and of all the factors that influence exclusive breastfeeding, cultural factors are the most dominant influencing exclusive breastfeeding. with the value of Exp(B) 5,923.

Abstract

The puerperium or puerperium begins 2 hours after the birth of the placenta until 6 weeks (42 days) after that. The purpose of this study was to analyze maternal care during the postpartum period in Padang Sari Village, Tinggi Raja District, Asahan Regency. This type of research uses Mix Methods with the Sequential Explanatory method. The population is 251 people, the sample is 71 respondents, while the qualitative informants are 2 postpartum women, 2 people who care for postpartum women, and 1 health worker. Quantitative data analysis with univariate, bivariate and multivariate analysis. Qualitative data analysis includes reduction, display and conclusion drawing/verification. Based on the chi-square test, the results of the variableeducation level p = 0.007, employment status p = 0.000, knowledge p = 0.000, parityp = 0.046, health check up place during pregnancy p = 0.032, family support p = 0.537. Qualitatively, it was obtained data that in addition to carrying out postpartum care according to health rules, postpartum mothers also carried out traditional postpartum care. The conclusion in this study is that there is a relationship between education level, employment status, knowledge, parity, and place of health check during pregnancy with maternal care during the postpartum period in Padang Sari Village, Tinggi Raja District, Asahan Regency in 2021. It is recommended that health workers should make extra efforts conduct approaches, education, and health education related to postpartum care to avoid adverse postpartum care practices.
