Abstract

Eggplant (Solanum melongena L.) The demand for eggplant was increasing, but the availability of eggplant is low so it cannot be fulfilled. One of the causes of low eggplant production is due to the attack of wilt disease on eggplant plants caused by Fusarium oxysporum. Symptoms include wilted leaves, yellowing leaves and brown root and stem tissue. Control that is often done is to use pesticides (fungicides) which can cause environmental pollution. One control of Fusarium spp. wilt disease. with microbial antagonists. This research was conducted to determine the ability of isolates of rhizobacteria Pseudomonas fluorescens group (PF) and Bacillus spp. from bamboo, chili and ferns inhibited the growth of Fusarium spp. in vitro. Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with isolates of Pseudomonas fluorescens group and Bacillus spp. each 4 treatments, control. Testing the inhibitory power of isolates of Pseudomonas fluorescens group and Bacillus spp. carried out by the challenge method and in vitro. Observations were made on the percentage of inhibition of rhizosphere bacteria (DH) after incubation for 7 days. All isolates of Pseudomonas fluorescens group and isolates of Bacillus spp. Has different inhibitory power on the fungus Fusarium spp. The isolates of Pseudomonas fluorescens group derived from bamboo roots from the Palem area (KPBP) (81.95%) were isolates that had the highest percentage of inhibition and Bacillus spp. derived from chili roots from the Guntung Manggis area (BGTP1) (70%) was the isolate that had the highest percentage of inhibition.

Abstract

This research aimed at finding out the effectiveness of Herringbone Technique in improving students’ reading comprehension at the fifth semester student of Informatics Study Program Faculty of Computer Engineering Cokroaminoto Palopo University. This research applied a pre-experimental method with one group pre-test and post-test. The population of this research was the fifth semester student of Informatics Study Program Faculty of Computer Engineering Cokroaminoto Palopo University. The sample of this research was class 5A consisted of 40 students, the sample was taken by using random sampling technique. There are two kinds of instrument used in this research, namely test and questionnaire. The result of the research shows that the reading comprehension ability of the fifth semester student of Informatics Study Program Faculty of Computer Engineering Cokroaminoto Palopo University was very effective. It was proven by the mean score in post-test was 7.55 and the T-test value 43.375 which was higher than the T-table value 2.315. And the students were interested in learning reading comprehension using Herringbone technique.

Abstract

This study aims at examining the phenomenon of taboo in Bugis society through an anthropolinguistic perspective. tTaboo is understood as a prohibition or taboo transmitted orally, functioning as a social, religious, and ecological mechanism to regulate behavior and to maintain communal harmony. By using a qualitative approach within the paradigm of linguistic ethnography, this research involved 12 key informants in Luwu Regency, South Sulawesi. Data were collected through participant observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation of taboo texts. The analysis was conducted through data reduction, thematic classification, and anthropological interpretation. The findings reveal four main dimensions of Bugis taboo: (1) religious integrating local customs with Islamic teachings; (2) social emphasizing ethics of mutual assistance and norms of interaction; (3) health-related particularly prohibitions concerning pregnant women and children; and (4) ecological functioning as local knowledge for natural resource conservation. Bugis taboo is shown to function not merely as an oral tradition, but also as a performative speech act that regulates behavior, instills moral values, and preserves local wisdom. These findings affirm the contribution of taboo as an important component of intangible cultural heritage while enriching cross-cultural studies of taboo.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi digital saat ini telah membawa perubahan besar dalam berbagai aspek kehidupan manusia. Salah satunya yaitu artificial intelligence atau kecerdasan buatan yang berkembang terus dengan cepat ke berbagai sektor termasuk pendidikan. Namun, masih banyak siswa yang belum memiliki pemahaman memadai mengenai konsep, pemanfaatan, serta dampak positif dan negatif AI. Kegiatan sosialisasi ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan literasi digital siswa melalui sosialisasi pemanfaatan dan dampak artificial intelligence (AI) di SMP Negeri Salu Simbuang.. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan selama satu hari, yaitu pada tanggal 6 November 2025, melalui kerja sama antara tim pelaksana dan pihak sekolah. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan participatory training yang melibatkan pemaparan materi, demonstrasi penggunaan aplikasi AI dalam pembelajaran, serta evaluasi melalui kuis dan diskusi interaktif. Peserta kegiatan berjumlah 27 orang yang terdiri atas siswa, guru, kepala sekolah, dan pengawas sekolah. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman peserta terhadap konsep dasar Artificial Intelligence, pemanfaatan AI dalam proses pembelajaran, serta kesadaran terhadap dampak positif dan negatif penggunaan AI. Selain itu, keterampilan peserta dalam menggunakan aplikasi AI sebagai media pendukung pembelajaran juga mengalami peningkatan. Meskipun terdapat beberapa hambatan seperti keterbatasan perangkat dan jaringan internet, kegiatan ini dinilai berjalan efektif dan mendapat respons positif dari peserta. Oleh karena itu, kegiatan sosialisasi ini berpotensi mendukung penerapan pembelajaran berbasis teknologi dan perlu dilaksanakan secara berkelanjutan guna memperkuat literasi digital di lingkungan sekolah

Abstract

Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk mentransformasi sistem pertanian Desa Mappetajang melalui pendekatan hulu-hilir. Di hulu, kegiatan difokuskan pada peningkatan kapasitas teknis budidaya dan produksi hortikultura strategis (tomat, bawang, paprika, cabai dan stroberi), introduksi bibit unggul, serta penerapan sistem dan teknologi pertanian presisi. Di hilir, program akan difokuskan untuk memperkuat manajemen usaha melalui pelatihan pengolahan hasil panen dan pasca panen, strategi dan teknik pemasaran digital, pengembangan produk dan brand unggulan, dan peningkatan jejaring pemasaran. Pelaksanaan kegiatan ini dibagi kedalam beberapa tahapan yaitu : Survey lokasi awal,  Sosialisasi Program kepada kelompok tani, pemberian bantuan alat dan bahan untuk menjalankan program, Pelatihan pembuatan pupuk kompos, pembuatan demplot sebagai lokasi percontohan budidaya hortikultura. Dari pelaksanaan kegiatan ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa untuk meningkatkan pendapatan petani perlu menanam tanaman jangka pendek yang cepat menghasilkan produksi  tidak tergantung pada hasil budidaya tanaman perkebunan, dan perlu manajemen pengelolaan dari hulu ke hilir agar masyarakat dapat produktif.

Abstract

Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk merevitalisasi dan menguatkan identitas kuliner lokal melalui pelestarian tradisi Manre Samampa sebagai bagian dari kearifan budaya masyarakat Tana Luwu khususnya kalangan mahasiswa. Manre Samampa tidak sekadar praktik konsumsi bersama, tetapi merepresentasikan nilai kebersamaan, kesyukuran, solidaritas social antar mahasiswa, serta etika penghormatan dalam struktur adat. Namun, arus globalisasi dan perubahan pola konsumsi masyarakat modern menyebabkan tradisi ini mulai tergerus dan kurang dikenal oleh generasi muda. Kegiatan pengabdian ini dilaksanakan melalui pendekatan partisipatif berupa sosialisasi nilai filosofis Manre Samampa, pelatihan penyajian kuliner tradisional berbasis higienitas dan estetika modern, kemudian dikemas dalam video sosialisasi budaya terkait sebagai potensi ekonomi kreatif local selain ragam budaya itu sendiri. Metode yang digunakan meliputi ceramah interaktif, demonstrasi praktik, diskusi kelompok, dan evaluasi berbasis refleksi budaya. Sasaran kegiatan adalah mahasiswa yang memprogramkan mata kuliah Budaya, Etika dan Karakter Tana Luwu program Studi Informatika, Fakultas Teknik Komputer yang sebagai pemuda, dan praktisi  budaya lokal. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman mahasiswa terhadap makna simbolik sajian Manre Samampa, keterampilan dalam pengolahan dan penyajian makanan tradisional yang lebih inovatif tanpa meninggalkan nilai adat, serta tumbuhnya kesadaran menjadikan tradisi kuliner sebagai identitas budaya sekaligus peluang ekonomi. Dengan demikian, pengabdian ini berkontribusi dalam menyinergikan pelestarian tradisi dan penguatan kemandirian ekonomi berbasis budaya lokal.
