Abstract

Abstract

With the mission of improving the quality of human resources in information and communication technology, STMIK Mikroskil should monitor the academic quality of the students regularly so that graduate GPA is not low and the number of students who do not graduate on time increasingly minimal. The problem faced is the lack of standardized criteria among study program in the determination of the students' academic quality, causing unevenness and subjective tendencies. The study program managers also are not easy to get this information. This study is to propose a model and an application to determine the level of academic quality of students from various inputs, namely the percentage of attendance, failed mid / end of semester grade, GPA, the frequency of semester grade point decrease using fuzzy logic. Fuzzy logic chosen because this method is suitable for handling subjective criteria. Fuzzy inference system method is mamdani. Defuzzification method is weighted average. The output is academic quality and type of action. The calculation result from the application program has been in accordance with MS Excel. Proposed system is expected to provide objective information about the academic quality of the students and can facilitate study program managers to control low academic quality.

Abstract

The 2019 Corona Virus Disease (COVID-19) pandemic is affecting the business sector in Indonesia, especially Small and Medium Enterprise (SMEs) that contribute greatly to the economy which impacted on decrease in revenue due to health protocols. This study aims to examine the role of motivation in the use of cloud computing technology by SMEs during the pandemic by combining it with the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) model. The research method uses quantitative data to test hypotheses that have been formulated through a survey of 129 SMEs in Medan using cloud computing technology since the pandemic. Questionnaires are distributed online and offline containing 25 indicators of variables arranged using the Likert scale. The data processing in this study used equation models from Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) and Smart Partial Least Square (SmartPLS) software. The results of this study received a positive response and showed a significant influence on motivation variable. SME actors have the motivation to survive in the sustainability of their business by using cloud computing technology as a necessity. So that the effect on the intention to use (behavior intention) to use cloud computing technology affects the actual use by SMEs.

Abstract

Study program performance can be seen from the achievement of accreditation status, where one of the assessment instruments related to the graduate profile is the length of study. Graduation on time is one indicator of student’s success in obtaining a bachelor's degree and is an important attribute, because by being able to predict the period of study, universities can minimize student graduation failures by making more intensive planning, study escort, and guidance. Data mining classification techniques can be used to predict students graduation on time. Many data mining classification algorithms can be used, so it is necessary to make comparisons to determine the level of accuracy of each algorithm. The algorithms that will be compared in this study are C4.5, K-Nearest Neighbor, Naive Bayes, and Random Forest. The data used were 2,022 graduates from Informatics Engineering and Information System Study Program of STMIK Mikroskil Medan from 2011 to 2014, in which the attributes used include gender, regional origin, time of study, grade of Entrance Screening Examination, and Grade Point Average (GPA). The results of the classification process are evaluated using cross validation and confusion matrix to determine the most accurate data mining classification algorithm for predicting student graduation on time, where the K-Nearest Neighbor and Random Forest algorithms have the highest accuracy of 72,651%, followed by the C4.5 algorithm 72,453%, and the Naïve Bayes algorithm 71,860%.

Abstract

Ticket reservations through agents or ticket sales points are very conventional. The web is the choice media to sell tickets for now. Customers can easily buy tickets like transportation ticket, events, and playground tickets through the web. Problems faced by some web users are the lack of responsiveness of the web, unstable connections, difficult usage, and the possibility of payment failure when transaction is done. Therefore, it is necessary to measure software quality using the McCall method. From the measurement results, web ticket sales get 80.56% which means the quality of the ticket sales web is good. Although the overall result is considered good, but ticket sales service providers must continue to improve the quality of the web.
