Abstract

The aim of the research was to analyze the printed mass media in making use of new media (online media) in order that they are able to converge and compete in an attempt to seize market in order to reap the advertisements and readers in the digital media era in Makassar.The Research was conducted to the editors in Chief, reportage coordinators and the manager of online media in Makassar, i.e. Tribun Timur Makassar and Fajar. Informants were selected by using purposive sampling methode based on the consideration that those informants knew well of what was expected from the research. The methodes of collecting the data were observation, in-depth interview, and documentation. The data were analyzed using  by qualitative analysis.The results reveal that mass media convergence could overcome the decrease of the number of readers on mainstream media since the distribution of news does no longer only rely on newspapers but also on online media. The presence of these online media is a part of conventional media aiming to strengthen the media function of media so that they could  expand the reader networks  through a wider range of the distribution of news. This is the answer to market demands in order to survive and win the market in digital media era in Makassar. Mass media competition is analyzed by using Niche theory in which the media compete in one another in the same ecological space to obtain the source of life support, i.e. capital, content, and audience. Capital (advertisement) is the primary source of support,  so online media are seriously given attention in order that they give a large amount of turnover. However, the income obtained from advertisements is still low compared to that of newspapers since the form of competition is not really high. This is because the companies in  Makassar do not give a big advertisement budget allocation in online media.

Abstract

Posyandu remaja merupakan salah satu bentuk Upaya Kesehatan Bersumber Daya Masyarakat (UKBM) yang dikelola dan diselenggarakan dari, oleh, untuk dan bersama masyarakat termasuk remaja dalam penyelenggaraan pembangunan kesehatan, guna memberdayakan masyarakat dan memberikan kemudahan dalam memperoleh pelayanan kesehatan bagi remaja untuk meningkatkan derajat kesehatan dan keterampilan hidup sehat remaja. Sasaran pelaksanaan kegiatan Posyandu Remaja adalah remaja usia 10-18 tahun, laki-laki dan perempuan dengan tidak memandang status pendidikan dan perkawinan termasuk remaja dengan disabilitas. Sedangkan sasaran petunjuk pelaksanaan adalah petugas kesehatan, pemerintah desa, pengelola program remaja, keluarga dan masyarakat serta kader kesehatan remaja. Kegiatan ini merupakan salah satu program kerja KKN Individu dan dilaksanakan pada bulan 4 Juli-14 Agustus 2021 di Desa Kabubu, Kecamatan Topoyo, Kabupaten Mamuju Tengah,Provinsi Sulawesi Barat. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi sosialisasi melalui pendekatan internal dengan petugas kesehatan dan pendekatan eksternal kepada pihak desa, lalu mengumpulkan beberapa remaja aktif dan diminta kesediaannya menjadi pengurus di Posyandu Remaja. Hasil dari kegiatan ini adalah terbentuknya Kader Kesehatan Remaja di Desa Kabubu sehingga berdampak keaktifan remaja dan tumbuhnya pemahaman remaja tentang kesehatan tubuh dan mental yang terintegrasi. Hal ini tentunya dapat meningkatkan derajat kesehatan remaja di Desa Kabubu.

Abstract

The problem that will be raised in the community service program for the Extraordinary Conditions in 2020 is the management of tourist destinations that can increase community income during the Covid-19 pandemic in Tanjung Limau Village, Muara Badak District, Kutai Kartanegara Regency. Despite the pandemic condition, the management of tourist destinations is still being carried out so that it can attract the outside community to visit Tanjung Limau Village. It is hoped that tourists can continue to increase in making visits to the tourist destinations of Jingga Beach and Panrita Lopi Beach, Tanjung Limau. Through community service programs in the management of Panrita Lopi Beach tourist destinations, awareness of the community is managed professionally. The population always strives to increase the income of the people around the coast of Tanjung Limau Village, also makes the beaches beautiful and clean so that they can attract people to visit the beach and other tours in Tanjung Limau village The method of community service programs implemented in Tanjung Limau Village is to coordinate and discuss with village officials and community leaders in the village both online and by engaging. After that, it was agreed to make several tourism management activities. Among them is making promotional videos through YouTube. The videos are taken from various tourist attractions that are busy being visited, namely Panrita Lopi Beach and Jingga Beach. Other activities include cleaning and beach services, as well as making educational posters to maintain cleanliness around the beach. The first conclusion is to increase regional income or the people of Tanjung Limau Village, the community dies on a visit to a beach tourism destination professionally in order to be able to attract local and domestic tourists to visit Tanjung Limau Village. The trick is to visit a tourist spot that is busy, namely Panrita Lopi Beach through social media, namely YouTube. Second, to increase the number of visitors at Jingga and Panrita Lopi Beaches, the beach location is tidied up and cleaned so that it is clean, orderly, and beautiful. Third, so that beach visitors in Tanjung Limau Village do not litter, then cleanliness education is carried out around the beach. The education is in the form of posters and videos of the implementation of the garbage disposal in the place. The video will be uploaded via YouTube social media so that potential visitors and beach visitors can see it. Abstract

This study aims to determine, describe, and analyze the application of journalistic language diction in the Teun A. van Dijk analysis model on criminal news of immoral types on the front page of the Samarinda Pos newspaper in October 2017 edition. The method used in this study is a descriptive qualitative method, using the Teun A. van Dijk discourse analysis model. The results of this study indicate that from the text dimension, the use of diction or choice of words is straightforward, concrete and specific. But also found diction that is general and worth the taste. From the dimension of social cognition, Samarinda Pos editors construct immoral criminal reporting based on event schemas by prioritizing the selection of diction which does not have a legal and pro-­‐‑market impact. From the dimension of social analysis, the influence of power and access can be seen through comments and leads that tend to use vulgar language that potentially marginalizes women.

Abstract

The increase in the amount of waste per day increases along with human needs as consumption creatures so that it becomes a problem that can cause various problems. So the reduction of organic waste must be managed with a breakthrough that is easy and cheap and provides many benefits. One solution is to process waste into eco-enzymes. Ecoenzymes are considered the right solution because the raw materials can be easily obtained and cheap. Through the fermentation process for three months, the eco-enzyme was able to obtain a very nutritious solution. Starting as a cleaning fluid and watering plants. In addition to being environmentally friendly, the results of household organic waste management are also of economic value, because the manufacturing costs are not expensive and can be used by the community both for personal use and for sale. The method of implementing this service uses training with lecture methods and offline questions and answers using media presentations in front of residents of Keli Village, Woha District, Bima Regency and direct practice of making ecoenzymes by field extension workers. The practice of making ecoenzymes mentored by field extension workers and assisted by KKN Unmul shows that the community is able to apply ecoenzyme manufacture to process household organic waste. This service shows results with the addition of skills and knowledge in implementing ecoenzyme manufacture in reducing household waste by the community.

Abstract

Pemilihan umum kepala daerah (Pemilukada) dilakukan dalam Pemilihan Gubernur, Bupati, dan Walikota. Kota Bontang tahun 2020 memiliki dua pasangan calon walikota dan wakil walikota Bontang, yakni pasangan calon nomor urut satu Basri Rase dan Najirah serta rivalnya dari nomor urut dua yaitu Neni Moerniaeni dan Joni Muslim. Strategi komunikasi politik dirumuskan sebelum hari pemilihan kepala daerah itu tiba, biasanya diawali terlebih dahulu dengan tahapan penelitian fakta, perencanaan, pelaksanaan, evaluasi, dan pelaporan. Tahapan penyusunan strategi komunikasi politik tentunya dilaksanakan untuk memaksimalkan kegiatan komunikasi politik agar tujuan yang bermuatan politik dapat diwujudkan. Seluruh kegiatan yang dirumuskan dalam tahapan strategi tentu menggunakan komunikasi politik dalam pelaksanaanya. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui strategi komunikasi politik pasangan calon Basri-Najirah terhadap pasangan calon Neni-Joni dalam Pemilukada Kota Bontang 2020. Metode analisis yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif. Pengambilan subyek penelitian ini menggunakan teknik Purposive Sampling. Sumber data diperolah melalui wawancara, observasi serta literatur yang sesuai dengan penelitian ini. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Strategi Komunikasi Politik yang dilakukan oleh Pasangan Basri-Najirah dalam Pemilukada Kota Bontang 2020 memiliki kesesuaian dengan tahapan strategi komunikasi yang dikemukakan oleh Hafied Cangara. Melakukan sosialisasi dengan masyarakat, evaluasi untuk menilai hal apa yang harus diperbiaki selama proses komunikasi politik dan kampanye dilakukan, serta pelaporan untuk melaporkan hasil dari evaluasi agar mendapatkan saran-saran perbaikan.

Abstract

Pseudo-relationship that created by EXO-Ls as fans and audiences with their media character, EXO through social media Twitter, is called a parasocial relationship. Through social media Twitter, fans can find out a real-time information and can interact with EXO, where in parasocial relationships the effects are sense of companionship, personal identity, pathological attitudes, pseudo-friendship, and behavioral guidelines. This research aims to find out, describe and analyze how the effects of parasocial relationships that occur on EXO fans, namely EXO-L in the city of Samarinda on Twitter. This research uses descriptive qualitative research with data collection techniques in the form of purposive sampling to obtain maximum information and data. Using Hoffner's Parasocial theory and Horton and Wohl's Parasocial theory, the results of this study indicate that the effects of parasocial relationships that occur in EXO-L Samarinda on Twitter are sense of companionship, personal identity, pathological attitudes, pseudofriendship, and behavioral guidelines.

Abstract

The development of technology that is currently widely used by millennials is podcasts which are currently increasingly trending among millennials. One of the most popular podcasts in Indonesia is the Do You See What I See podcast, which brings the horror genre as its main topic. The purpose of this study is to analyze and describe millennial perceptions in perceiving content that is broadcast in the Do You See What I See podcast based on indicators of perception formation. The methodology in this research is qualitative with a descriptive approach. The data collection technique is triangulation. There are 9 informants obtained through purposive sampling technique based on predetermined criteria. Meanwhile, data processing in this study used techniques from Matthew and Michael Huberman. Based on the results of the study, the majority of listeners of the Do You See What I See podcast are aged 22-30 years. The listener's perception of the Do You See What I See podcast itself is that listeners begin to accept the existence of the podcast, then listeners begin to understand the content of the content shared in the podcast. The majority of listeners' assessment of the Do You See What I See podcast is positive. So in conclusion, the listener's perception of the Do You See What I See podcast is good and positive.

Abstract

Digital literacy in Indonesia is an issue that continues to be promoted, considering that the government continues to encourage the improvement of communication and information technology infrastructure. Indonesia still has digital literacy competencies that fall into the "adequate" category which means "not good", therefore this paper tries to see the extent of understanding of students from the social and political science faculty of Mulawarman University about digital literacy through mass communication courses. This research uses the method of filling out pre-test and post-test questionnaires using blended learning, namely collaboration in providing teaching materials using offline and online methods using learning videos. The result is an increase in understanding related to the 4 pillars of digital literacy belonging to the Ministry of Communication and Information; digital skills, digital culture, digital ethics, and digital security. Most students have sufficient understanding of digital literacy.

Abstract

program sarjana strata 1, ikut menjadi topik yang ramai dipilih Content creator di Instagram. Salah satu Content creator di Instagram yang aktif membagikan intformasi serta tips dalam mengerjakan skripsi ialah akun Instagram @ezraalfatah yang biasa disapa bang Ezra atau BangEz oleh para pengikutnya. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menjelaskan terkait interaktivitas akun instagram @ezraalfatah dalam membangun motivasi mahasiswa menyusun skripsi. Metode penelitian menggunakan penelitian kualitatif. Dalam pengumpulan sumber data, peneliti melakukan pengumpulan sumber data dalam bentuk data primer (pengikut akun Instagram @Ezraalfatah, pengikut yang melakukan pengulangan pembuatan konten, dan mahasiswa pada Universitas Negeri/Swasta di Kalimantan Timur yang sedang dalam tahap mengerjakan skripsi (belum pendadaran). Data sekunder (studi kepustakaan berupa buku, jurnal, literatur dan sumber internet lainnya). Teknik Analisis data yang digunakan adalah Miles dan Huberman. Akun Instagram @ezraalfatah meningkatkan interaktivtias User to System dengan memanfaatkan algoritma Instagram melalui fitur Reels dan Hashtag untuk dapat menjangkau lebih banyak audiens. Akun Instagram @ezraalfatah juga memanfaatkan musik yang sedang viral pada Reels nya untuk bisa mendapatkan jangkauan yang lebih luas. Untuk meningkatkna konten di luar Instagram, seperti Youtube dan Tiktok, akun Instagram @ezraalfatah memanfaatkan fitur link di bio dan penambahan stiker link di Story untuk memudahkan pengguna berkunjung ke Youtube maupun ke Siaran Instagramnya.
