Abstract

The study was conducted with the aim of wanting to find out the biology laboratory profiles in high schools, especially private. Research was carried out on private high schools in the city of Pekanbaru T.A 2016/2017, as the research sample was carried out in a random way. This research method was using surveys, documentation and observation. The research instrument used in this study was documentation guidelines for knowing the Biology Science lab in high school. The results of the data analyzed descriptively regarding the Profile of the Biological Science Laboratory of SMAS in Pekanbaru showed that the Biology Science laboratory conditions were undergraduate and S4 in 89.4% (Very good), and each indicator observed at the time of observation showed good laboratory conditions.

Abstract

This research is a development research with quantitative descriptive analysis. This study aims to determine the feasibility test of the Learning Module as Learning of Malay Serindit Birds (Loriculus galgulus) as the mascot of Riau Province in the Course of Vertebrate Zoology. Samples used by Random Sampling technique. The importance of developing teaching materials for example learning modules that build character and knowledge of students on the potential of local fauna. Expected to be able to provide inspiration and language for the country that makes smarter and clearer modules about the potential for fauna and flora in the surrounding area. And can be used as a consideration and facilitate the learning process in achieving quality towards the 21st century. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan dengan analisis deskriptif kuantitatif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui uji kelayakan dari Modul pengembangan sebagai Pembelajaran Burung Serindit Melayu (Loriculus galgulus) sebagai maskot Provinsi Riau pada Mata Kuliah Zoologi Vertebrata. Sampel yang digunakan dengan teknik random Sampling, Pentingnya pengembangan bahan ajar contohnya modul pembelajran yang membangun karakter dan pengetahuan mahasiswa pada potensi fauna lokal. diharapkan mampu memberikan inspirasi dan bahan kajian bagi dosen dalam membuat modul yang lebih inovatif serta mengangkat nilai tentang potensi fauna maupun flora didaerah sekitar. Serta dapat dijadikan bahan pertimbangan dan memfasilitasi proses pembelajaran dalam mencapai keterampilan menuju abad-21.  Kata kunci: burung Serindit Melayu, modul, penelitian pengembangan

Abstract

This study was action research in Serdang Bedagai which used 135 students as subjects. The techniques sampling data were cluster sampling. The result data were obtained using tests as well as evaluating the ability of students' skills using a questionnaire. The research hypothesis was tested using Anova and Tukey test. These results indicated that (1) there was significant influence of the learning outcomes of students that were taught by cooperative learning model GI with conventional learning, (2) learning outcomes of students which learning by model GI was better than the learning conventional model. Students' social skills were also better. The results of students response based on four indicators, there were cooperating among the students in the group, responsibility fellow students, expressing opinions in the form of oral and written, as well as the interaction and tolerance. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas di Kabupaten Serdang Bedagai dengan jumlah 135 orang siswa. Sampel penelitian ini diambil dengan teknik cluster sampling. Data hasil tes belajar biologi diperoleh dengan menggunakan tes, serta penilaian kemampuan kecakapan siswa menggunakan angket. Hipotesis penelitian diuji dengan menggunakan Anova dilanjutkan dengan uji Tukey. Hasil ini menunjukkan (1) Terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan dari hasil belajar siswa yang diajar dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe GI dengan pembelajaran konvensional, (2) Hasil belajar siswa yang diajar dengan model pembelajaran GI lebih baik dibandingkan dengan hasil belajar siswa yang diajarkan dengan model pembelajaran konvensional. Kecakapan sosial siswa juga lebih baik. Hal ini terlihat dari respon siswa berdasarkan keempat indikatornya yaitu: bekerjasama sesama siswa dalam kelompok, tanggung jawab sesama siswa, mengemukakan pendapat dalam bentuk lisan dan tulisan, serta interaksi dan toleransi.Kata kunci: group investigation, hasil belajar, kecakapan sosial, pembelajaran kooperatif

Abstract

This study aims to determine and test the feasibility of a teaching materials module based on Contextual Learning in Vertebrate Zoology courses in the learning process in Biology Education Study Program Faculty of Teacher Training and Education University of Islam Riau Year 2015-2016. This research uses ADDIE model as research design consisting of five stages; Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation. But the research design only test on the feasibility of the module so that this research only through three stages of Analysis, Design, Development. The selection of subjects is determined from the total of students who take the Vertebrate Zoology course as many as 195 people then selected by Random Sampling of 45 people. This is because the subject and the subject character are the same. The instrument used in this study is a questionnaire. The results of the research show at the Analysis stage; there needs to be a more interesting learning innovation, so that students are more active in constructing their knowledge through more relevant learning resources. Next at Design stage; the requirements of the design stage are adjusted to the steps already described in the RPS (Semester Course Plan). At Development stage; the results of the validation of materials experts by 80% with the criteria module feasible to use, the material expert judgment of 82% with the criteria module feasible to use, and student ratings states the module appeals to students with 90% percentage (very worthy to use). So it can be concluded that the learning process associated with constructing the pemahan students is not only limited to the exposure of the material, but also reflects the activities and learning activities that must be done. so students can explore the source of learning by building their knowledge through direct interaction with the experience and environment.Keywords: Development Module, Contextual Learning, Vertebrate Zoology.

Abstract

Observasi awal yang peneliti lakukan pada sekolah alam muara bungo ini meninggalkan kesan yang sangat menarik. Lingkungan sekolah yang indah dan asri menyatu dalam keramahan, ketertiban dan kecerdasan anak-anaknya. Hal ini tentunya memberi kenyamanan bahkan rasa takjub bagi siapapun yang mengunjungi. Berbagai jenis tanaman menghiasi halaman, pagar, ruangan dan juga sebuah green lab yang mengoleksi berbagai jenis bunga dan tanaman buah-buahan yang dapat menjadi “hadiah” atau oleh-oleh bagi setiap tamu yang datang.  Semua tanaman ini tumbuh dengan indahnya tanpa terlihat rusak atau patah meski berada diantara permainan anak-anak. Hal yang akan menjadi tanda tanya bagaimana anak-anak yang masih berada diusia dini ini telah dapat mengerti untuk menjaga dan menghargai lingkungannya.Peneliti memperhatikan juga bagaimana hubungan sosial anak-anak ini terjalin dengan baik termasuk terhadap anak yang berkebutuhan khusus (ADHD). Guru mendampingi agar tidak terjadinya keributan dan mereka dapat merasa nyaman antara satu sama lainnya. Peneliti juga merasakan keramahan anak-anak ini dan merasa takjub ketika mereka menunjukkan kefasihannya dalam melafalkan hadits-hadits nabi yang menjadi pedoman bagi mereka dalam bersikap atau berperilaku sehari-hari. Berdasarkan hal ini dapatlah diketahui bahwa karakter anak-anak di sekolah alam muara bungo telah terbina dengan baik, tidak hanya pada sikap menjaga lingkungan namun juga menghargai sesama serta meneladani kemuliaan akhlak Rasulullah SAW dengan pemaknaan terhadap hadits-haditsnya.Berdasarkan pemaparan di atas maka akan dilakukan penelitian mengenai “Inovasi Pembelajaran dengan Metode Belajar Bersama Alam (BBA) Guna Membangun Karakter Anak Semenjak Dini pada Sekolah Alam Muara Bungo (SAMO)” Keyword: Inovasi Pembelajaran, Metode BBA, Membamgun Karakter, Sekolah Alam Muara Bungo

Abstract

Seiring dengan perkembangan zaman, fungsi lingkungan sebagai penunjang kehidupan manusia kini terancam oleh polusi, pemborosan penggunaan sumber daya alam dan lainnya. Dalam hal ini, upaya terpadu diperlukan dalam melestarikan fungsi lingkungan. Selama ini di Sekolah Menengah Atas dan Sekolah Menengah Pertama YLPI Pekanbaru, belum ada sosialisasi dan pendidikan tentang cara melestarikan lingkungan, siswa belum dididik tentang pentingnya melestarikan lingkungan dan upaya untuk mencegah kerusakan lingkungan. Karena tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah memberikan pemahaman dan bantuan untuk menanamkan sikap peduli terhadap lingkungan kepada siswa. Solusi yang ditawarkan dari kegiatan ini adalah memberikan pengetahuan tentang sikap peduli terhadap lingkungan dengan memelihara, mengelola, memulihkan, dan memelihara lingkungan yang bersih dan sehat di sekolah. Metode kegiatan ini menggunakan metode workshop atau pelatihan dan observasi pelaksanaan sikap peduli terhadap lingkungan yang diikuti oleh siswa SMA dan SMP YLPI Pekanbaru Pekanbaru sebanyak 57 siswa bersama guru-guru dari 2 sekolah tersebut. Kegiatan ini menemani siswa untuk menanamkan sikap peduli terhadap lingkungan. Siswa merasa antusias dalam memberikan contoh bagaimana peduli terhadap lingkungan, dan juga lebih memahami tentang bagaimana melindungi lingkungan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini di latar belakangi oleh rendahnya hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran IPAS yang disebabkan oleh penggunaan metode pembelajaran konvensional dan kurangnya media pembelajaran yang menarik. Berdasarkan teori pembelajaran konstruktivistik, proses belajar akan lebih efektif apabilasiswa terlibat secara aktif dalam kegiatan pembelajaran melalui media yang interaktif. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis eksperimen semu (quasi-experimental) dan desain one group pretest-posttest. Instrumen pengumpulan data meliputi tes tertulis, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan pada hasil belajar siswa setelah menggunakan media Smart Box, yang dibuktikan melalui uji paired sample t-test. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa media Smart Box berpengaruh positif terhadap hasil belajar IPAS siswa kelas V di SDN 011 Bukit Pedusunan.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the influence of the school environment on students' interest in learning Civics subjects in Grade 3 at SDN 009 Padang Kunik. The research method used is quantitative descriptive. The population used in this study was 7 students. The sampling method used was the non-probability sampling method, namely saturated saturated samples. So the entire population is the sample in this study. Data were collected through questionnaires and documentation. The research instruments were tested, namely tests (normality and homogeneity tests), descriptive analysis and hypotesis tests. Based on the results of the study, it can be seen that the regression equation obtained is Y = (310,565) + 2087X with a regression coefficient of 2087 and a T value = 1860, this indicates that each unit in the school environment will increase students' interest in learning by 1860 units. So it can be concluded that the partial T test research that is accepted, the partial T test is partial Ho is rejected and partial T Ha is accepted. So it can be concluded that there is an influence between the school environment and students' interest in learning.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of scientific thinking ability in science literacy on students’ learning outcomes in the topic of plants within the Natural Sciences subject for Grade IV at SDN 012 Ujungbatu. Employing a quantitative approach with a correlational method, the research involved all 28 students in the class using a saturated sampling technique. Instruments used included a Guttman scale questionnaire to assess scientific thinking ability and multiple-choice tests to evaluate learning outcomes. Validity and reliability tests were conducted using SPSS version 25, with all items meeting the standards (Cronbach’s Alpha = 0.920 for the thinking skills questionnaire and 0.960 for the learning test). Item analysis revealed balanced levels of difficulty and good discriminating power. Prerequisite tests showed that the data met the assumptions of normality and homogeneity. The hypothesis test using linear regression analysis demonstrated a significant positive effect of scientific thinking ability on science learning outcomes, with a regression coefficient of 0.450 and a significance level of 0.000. The findings confirm that students with higher scientific thinking abilities tend to achieve better academic results. Therefore, fostering scientific thinking skills in the context of science literacy is essential to enhance students' academic performance and critical reasoning from an early age.

Abstract

This study examines the effect of using video learning media on the critical thinking skills of fourth-grade students at UPT SD Negeri 017 Kualu in the subject of science. The background of the problem shows the low critical thinking skills of students, which are caused by less varied learning methods and minimal interaction in class. By using a quantitative approach through the experimental method of the One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design , this study involved 30 students as a sample. Data were collected through critical thinking ability test instruments (pretest and posttest) that have been tested for validity and reliability, and supported by qualitative data from observations and interviews. The results of the study showed a significant increase in students' average scores from 48.9 (pretest) to 74.8 (posttest). This increase was supported by a paired t-test, which produced a t-count value of 14.32, much greater than the t-table (2.045) with a significance value of 0.000 (p <0.05). Qualitative findings confirmed that video media successfully increased students' motivation, enthusiasm, and active participation in learning. Thus, this study proves that learning video media has a significant influence on improving students' critical thinking skills, and is able to create a more interactive and effective learning environment
