Abstract

In facing the era of openness of society 5.0, an ethical filter is needed with an effort to give meaning to the aesthetic values that are assets of national culture. Value education and 'urf are one of the counter hegemony in the millennial era. The flow of industrialization brings consequences for social change. The existence of a traditional religious system has its own charm. This phenomenon can be seen in the syncretism of the cembengan tradition that took place in sugar factories on the island of Java, especially in this study in Solo Raya. This study aims to describe the history, implementation of picking ‘manten tebu’ cane and the relevance of picking ‘manten tebu’ cane in the syncretism of the Cembengan tradition in terms of value education and 'urf. This research is a field research using primary and secondary data, and Milles and Huberman model analysis techniques. The results of this study show that the harmony of the community around the sugar factory in Solo Raya as a multicultural society can be seen from the ritual symbols and spiritual symbols in the Cembengan tradition which contains syncretism between Confucianism-Islam-Javanese which is integrated into mystical cultural discourse. The phenomenon of the procession of marrying ‘tebu’ cane/cembengan in the procession of the cane ‘manten tebu’ carnival is followed by the ijab qobul led by the penghulu who in this case is represented by the traditional leader and the procession ends with a sukur (the distribution of each ubo rampe). The value education of picking ‘manten tebu’ cane in the synchronization of the cembengan tradition can be seen from religious values and social values. When viewed from the implementation, it includes 'urf fi'li but from its scope it is 'urf Khash because it is only carried out by sugarcane farmers around the sugar factory. And in terms of assessment, it is urf shohih if the belief or belief in carrying out the tradition continues to ask God and will become 'urf fasid if there is a misunderstanding and causes damage to aqidah if it is done to ask the unseen ruler.

Abstract

The pandemic affects Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) as an economic sub-sector. MSMEs products have marketing problems, so many unsold products. Traditional marketing strategies can not reach a vast market share, so income significantly declined during the Covid-19 pandemic. In Kejuron Ward, Taman District, the Madiun City, MSMEs actors consist of several industrial sectors such as food and clothing sales. During the COVID-19 pandemic, MSMEs actors in the Kejuron Ward tried to use alternatives to online selling. However, promotions in online selling were still not optimal to attract customers as offline promotions. The target issues were a lack of knowledge in digital marketing and less attractive products. Mentoring MSMEs through e-promotion as a rebranding strategy based on local wisdom was an effort to overcome the partners' problems. The empowerment model used in this community service was participatory assistance through lectures, discussions, and practices methods. There were significant differences in success indicators before and after socialization and practice regarding e-promotion as a local wisdom-based rebranding strategy. The most significant increase was knowledge levels which improved by 50% after the socialization. Thus, this community service could increase innovation and creativity in the target community and solve MSMEs' business problems in Kejuron Ward. In conclusion, mentoring MSMEs through e-promotion as a rebranding strategy based on local wisdom increases partners' knowledge in digital marketing, more attractive products packaging, and updated MSMEs' products with trending products. There should be ongoing assistance and communication to support the sustainability of this program

Abstract

This study aims to describe the practice of the distribution of inheritance in the villages of Bumiharjo and Selomarto Giriwoyo Wonogiri, assess the views and relevance of Islamic law in the practice of inheritance distribution in Selomarto and Bumiharjo villages and describe the relevance of the objective conditions of the tradition of inheritance distribution in the villages of Bumiharjo and Selomarto with the law his family. This research is a qualitative field study using a sociological normative approach. Data analysis using the Miles-Huberman model includes data collection, data reduction, data display and conclusion drawing. From the data in the field, it was found that the practice of distributing inheritance to the people of Bumiharjo Village and Selomarto Giriwoyo Wonogiri was carried out while the heir was still alive and after he died. While the practice of dividing the inheritance after the testator dies is carried out by means of gantungan or delays. In certain cases, where girls are mokok’i keprabon, then their share is greater than boys. The practice of dividing inheritance with lintiran is identical to a grant, while the practice of cungan is identical to a will. The practice of segendong sepikul is relevant to the provisions of Islamic inheritance law where men get a double share of the women's share. The practice of dividing inheritance equally between men and women is less relevant to the understanding and practice of family law in Bumiharjo and Selomarto communities where men are responsible for family livelihoods.

Abstract

This research departs from the phenomenon of the increasingly eliminated elements of local culture in society, the issue of fading diversity and the increasing number of hate speech on social media. One of the causes is the flow of modernization and globalization of all aspects of life including tradition and culture. This study aims to re-actualize value education in Islamic culture and local wisdom in the Sekaten tradition in Surakarta in the present context. This study uses qualitative methods with a phenomenological approach. The results of this study indicate that the religious value of the Shah of Creed in the Sekaten tradition invites the community to worship, know God and the Messenger of Allah Rasulullah S.A.W through its nature and at the end of the style invites us to pray. In addition to religious values, in the Sekaten tradition, there is a social value education in the form of mutual cooperation and harmony and psychological values that invites us to know their nature and nature. The implementation of culture-based value education and local wisdom in the syahadat kures style in the Sekaten ritual requires human beings who are virtuous and devoted, have noble manners, the spirit of working, togetherness, good deeds and being able to put their human nature in balance between life in the world and the hereafter according to Islamic teachings. Culture-based value education and local wisdom become reinforcement so that humans become the generation of kaffah learners (insan kamil) intrinsically through the synergy of all elements (society, educators and parents).

Abstract

This study examines the contextualization of the interpretative symbolic meaning of the "Almari Meteng" tradition in marriage as family education in Mancon Village, Wilangan District, Nganjuk Regency, East Java. Using qualitative field research methods, including interviews and documentation, the study explores the symbolic values embedded in this tradition and their relevance to family education. The findings reveal that the Almari Meteng tradition, involving the groom bringing household items to the bride's family, carries rich symbolic meanings related to family resilience, gratitude, social values, and strengthening relationships. The tradition reflects important family education values such as harmony, respect, mutual cooperation, spirituality, health awareness, and children's education. The study employs theoretical frameworks including symbolic interactionism, ritual theory, and Bourdieu's concept of habitus to analyze the tradition's social and cultural implications. While facing challenges from modernization and urbanization, the Almari Meteng tradition demonstrates adaptability and continues to play a significant role in preserving cultural identity and instilling important values in family life. This research contributes to understanding the dynamics of local cultural practices in the context of social change and their potential for sustainable cultural preservation.
