Abstract

AbstrakBagi seorang muslim, kemampuan membaca huruf hijaiyah merupakan hal yang urgent karena Kitab suci umat muslim, yaitu Al-Qur’an ditulis menggunakan bahasa Arab yang huruf-hurufnya adalah huruf hijaiyyah. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memecahkan problem buta huruf hijaiyyah bagi ibu-ibu rumah tangga di Kelurahan Ketawanggede, Kecamatan Lowokwaru, Kota Malang dengan memberikan pelatihan dan pendampingan terhadap mereka dalam mengenal dan membaca huruf hijaiyyah atau ayat-ayat dalam Alqur’an dengan benar sesuai kaidah. Jumlah peserta kegiatan ini adalah sebanyak 60 orang yang dibagi menjadi 3 kelas atau kategori, yaitu a) peserta yang sama sekali belum mengenal huruf hijaiyah, b) peserta yang sudah mengenal huruf hijaiyyah tetapi keliru dalam melafadzkannya, dan c) peserta yang sudah dapat membaca huruf hijaiyyah tetapi masih menemui kekeliruan dalam membaca terutama makharijul huruf dan kaidah-kaidah tajwid. Di antara hasil dari kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah setelah melalui pelatihan dan pendampingan secara intensif menggunakan metode sorogan, peserta mengalami peningkatan kemampuan membaca huruf hijaiyah (pisah dan sambung) dan ayat-ayat dalam Alqur’an.AbstractFor a Muslim, the ability to read Hijaiyah letters is important because the holy Book of Muslims, the Qur'an is written by using Arabic language that the letters is a letter Hijaiyyah. This community is aimed to solve hijaiyyah illiteracy problem for housewives in Ketawanggede sub-district, Lowokwaru subdistrict, Malang City by providing training and mentoring to them in Know and read the letters Hijaiyyah or verses in the Qur'an correctly in accordance with the rules. The number of participants of this activity is as many as 60 people divided into 3 classes or categories, namely a) participants who are not familiar with the letters Hijaiyah, B) Participants who already know the letter Hijaiyyah but erroneous in the pronunciation, and c) participants who Can already read the letter Hijaiyyah but still found confusion in reading mainly Makharijul letters and rules tajwid. Among the results of this devotion is after through training and mentoring intensively using the methods of Sorogan with the forward one by one and then corrected directly by Ustadz and directly in the process of justification, so that through Sorogan method that is more focused and direct evaluation, participants experienced an increase in the ability to read Hijaiyah letters (split and Dial) and verses in the Qur'an.

Abstract

This paper describes the differences between Arabic and Persian sentence structure to help beginner Persian learners, especially those with Arabic language knowledge. This is a library research using linguistic approach and contrastive analysis to compare both sentence structre to predict difficulties that might appear in learning Persian. The differences of both languages, i.e. : 1) there ara two formulas of Arabic sentence structure: a) subject + predicate, and b) predicate + subject or predicate + subject + object. While in Persian the formula is subject + predicate or subject + object + predicate; 2) negative sentences of both languages use negative particle, but Arabic has various ones and most of them change the i‟rab; 3) Arabic passive sentences follows the wazn ل ِ ُع ف) past) and ُ ل ْع ف ُ يػ) present), while in Persian uses ending of شدن after the past verbs; 4) Arabic imperatives are formed by adding hamzah wasal replacing the huruf mudara‟ah, while in Persian by adding بــ before the root of present verbs; 5) fi‟l nahyi in Arabic are formed by adding lam an-nahiyah before majzum present verbs, while in Persian by adding نــ before root of present verbs.

Abstract

This article examines ʿUṣfūr min al-Sharq by Tawfiq al-Hakim as a dialectical exploration of European rationality and Eastern spirituality within the discourse of modernity. Modernity is frequently framed in binary terms: the West as rational, material, and technologically advanced, and the East as spiritual and tradition-bound. Such dichotomies, however, often overlook how identity is constructed and negotiated in modern Arabic literature. While previous scholarship has read the novel through the lens of civilizational conflict, it has seldom undertaken a deconstructive analysis of how East–West identities are destabilized and reconfigured through the characters' existential struggles. This study addresses two questions: (1) how are European rationality and Eastern spirituality narratively constructed in the novel, and (2) how are identity and modernity dismantled through the characters' inner conflicts and relationships? Employing qualitative interpretive literary analysis informed by Derridean deconstruction and postcolonial theory, the article traces the text's ambivalent and paradoxical structures of meaning. The findings show that the protagonist Muhsin's dialogues with the Russian intellectual Ivan expose the existential emptiness of a Western rationality that excludes the transcendent from its account of the world, while Muhsin's admission of a faith as fragile and wavering as a flower in the wind reveals Eastern spirituality to be equally unstable once subjected to modern rationalization. Through the Opera scene—where Muhsin's aesthetic and emotional response is set against Ivan's disillusioned critique of Europe—the novel reframes modernity not as a fixed Western achievement but as a hybrid third space of identity negotiation. The study contributes a deconstructive rereading that moves beyond the civilizational-conflict paradigm, demonstrating how al-Hakim's narrative unsettles the very binary it appears to stage.

Abstract

Pelecehan seksual di ruang publik merupakan permasalahan sosial yang berdampak serius terhadap kesehatan psikologis korban, salah satunya berupa gangguan penerimaan diri (self-acceptance) akibat self-blame dan stigma sosial yang dialami. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji efektivitas gratitude journaling dalam meningkatkan self-acceptance pada individu dengan riwayat pelecehan seksual di ruang publik. Penelitian menggunakan desain pra-eksperimental tipe one-group pretest-posttest dengan satu partisipan perempuan dewasa awal berusia 22 tahun yang dipilih melalui teknik purposive sampling. Pengukuran self-acceptance dilakukan menggunakan Skala Penerimaan Diri yang dikembangkan oleh Fatonah dan Husna (2020) berdasarkan konsep Powell (1992), mencakup empat aspek yaitu penerimaan fisik, penerimaan perasaan/emosi, penerimaan kepribadian, dan penerimaan keterbatasan diri. Intervensi dilaksanakan selama 14 hari berturut-turut dengan protokol yang diadaptasi dari Emmons dan McCullough (2003). Analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif kuantitatif melalui perbandingan skor pre-test dan post-test, serta analisis tematik terhadap isi jurnal harian partisipan. Hasil menunjukkan peningkatan skor self-acceptance dari 101 menjadi 124, dengan gain score sebesar 23 poin (22,8%). Peningkatan tertinggi terjadi pada aspek penerimaan perasaan/emosi (+38,1%), konsisten dengan broaden-and-build theory (Fredrickson, 2001). Analisis tematik menunjukkan perkembangan naratif progresif dari orientasi syukur eksternal menuju penerimaan pengalaman traumatik sebagai bagian dari perjalanan hidup, yang mencerminkan pergeseran dari posisi korban menuju posisi penyintas. Temuan ini memberikan bukti awal (preliminary evidence) bahwa gratitude journaling berpotensi sebagai intervensi self-help yang efektif untuk mendukung pemulihan psikologis penyintas pelecehan seksual di ruang publik.
