Abstract

Background: Infant mortality rate are infants who death that were 0 to 365 days old. In Indonesia, the infant mortality rate are 24/1000 live births. Risk factors for infant mortality rate were factors from the baby and the mother. Maternal characteristics are a factors in infant mortality rate that can be controlled with early intervention, so it is necessary to know what factors influence infant mortality. The purpose of the study was to analyze the factors related to infant mortality rate in Puskesmas Pejawaran Methods: This research was conducted in Puskesmas Pejawaran. This is an case control study. The population taken is 1 : 1 by the subjects of 17 cases and 17 babies born alive so that there are 34 respondents. The sampling technique used arandom sampling technique. The study used secondary data, The data analysis used in this study was the chi square test. Result: There is a relationship between the age of the respondent and infant mortality rate in Puskesmas Pejawaran, there is no relationship between parity, pregnancy interval and the level of education of the respondent’s age with mother’s age with infant mortality. Mothers aged 35 years who gave birth to babies were 4.4 times more likely to give birth to stillbirth. Conclusion: There is a relationship between respondent’s age with mother’s age and infant mortality rate in Puskesmas Pejawaran, there is no relationship between parity, pregnancy interval and the level of education of the respondent's age with infant mortality rate.

Abstract

Background: According to the World Health Organization (WHO) in Indonesia, the incidence of dysmenorrhea is 55% in productive age, 15% of them complain of limited activity due to dysmenorrhea. Forms the results of a preliminary study conducted, it's showed that the results of interviews with young women showed that 60% of adolescents experienced dysmenorrhea, 20% sometimes, and 20% did not experience dysmenorrhea. Dysmenorrhea is a problem for teenagers in carrying out their daily activities, especially in the learning process.The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of green tea and moringa tea on reducing the level of dysmenorrhea pain in adolescentsMethods: This design of research uses a quasi-experimental approach with a two-group pretest-posttest design approach. The population 40  and  sample 32 respondents with an accidental sampling technique.Results: In this study, it was found that moringa is effective in reducing the pain of dysmenorrhea. With the results of the Mann-Whitney test p-value = 0.031. moringa tea more effective than green teaConclusion: . Abstract

Emesis gravidarum dapat menyebabkan stress bagi ibu hamil sehingga dapat mempengaruhi kehamilan dan gangguan perkembangan janin. Salah satu cara agar ibu hamil mampu mengatasi keluhannya secara lebih aman adalah memberikan informasi tentang terapi non farmakologis dengan optimalisasi kelas ibu hamil melalui peran kader kesehatan. Tujuan pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan perilaku ibu hamil dalam mengatasi keluhan emesis gravidarum menggunakan terapi non farmakologis dengan optimalisasi kelas ibu hamil melalui peran kader kesehatan sejumlah 37 orang. Metode yang dilaksanakan dengan ceramah, diskusi, demonstrasi, tanya jawab dan praktik. Kegiatan optimalisasi kelas ibu hamil melalui peran kader kesehatan sangat tepat dalam meningkatkan tingkat pengetahuan dan ketrampilan kader sehingga mereka mampu mendampingi ibu hamil sebagai upaya peningkatan kesehatan masa kehamilan dalam mengatasi emesis gravidarum menggunakan terapi non farmakologis. Diharapkan Bidan Desa maupun Puskesmas yang terlibat aktif dalam kesehatan masa kehamilan agar terus membina serta memantau kegiatan dalam upaya meningkatkan kesehatan masa kehamilan.

Abstract

Adolescent physical changes related to hormonal changes, the period of sexual maturity and reactions to menarche. Low understanding of menarche can have a negative impact on adolescent growth. Technological progress is a potential that can be used as a delivery of material related to menarche. The "Heager" application has several features, including video features and assessment features. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of Heager application media on the level of knowledge about menarche. This study used a pre-experimental design study with a One-Group Pre Test-Post Test Design. Data analysis used the Wilcoxon test. The results showed that the average level of knowledge about menarche before using the heager application media was 13, after using the heager application media was 15. The results of the Wilcoxon test analysis obtained a p value 0.05. There is an influence of Heager application media on the level of knowledge about menarche. Most of the students who experienced an increase in knowledge were as many as 29 respondents. The conclusion of this study is that there is an effect of using Heager application media on the level of knowledge about menarche

Abstract

Background: Children's brain development reaches 50% by the age of four, 30% until the age of eight, 20% until adulthood. Compared to other developments, language is the main key for children to be used as a means of communication. To optimize it, media in the form of big books and hand puppets are needed to stimulate children's language. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of big book and hand puppet media stimulation in the language development of children aged 3-4 years.. Methods: The cluster sampling method was used to determine the number of children to be studied based on a population of 80 children in the playgroup, while proportionate random sampling was used for the distribution of children to be stimulated with big book media and hand puppets based on a sample of 46 children. Results: The results of the Mann-Whitney Test obtained a p-value in each media, namely 0.00 with a mean value of 17.65 in big book media and a mean value of 8.13 in hand puppet media. Conclusion: The use of big book media has proven to be more effective in stimulating language development and being able to captivate children's attention and know the story in the big book which has advantages in terms of size, text, and large big book images compared to other story books.

Abstract

The incidence of malnutrition in toddler requires special attention because nutritional problems that occur since toddlers will have an impact on the further development of toddler life. Nutrition improvement is one way to overcome severely wasted and wasted. One of the efforts to increase toddler's weight is to provide supplementary feeding that is rich in nutrients such as corn.  The nutritional content of sweet corn includes carbohydrates, fats, proteins, and some vitamins and minerals. Corn can be used for daily needs as a easy to modify food in various forms supplementary feeding such as schotle corn.     The aim of this study was to knowing the effectiveness of corn schotle on body weight in toddlers aged 12-24 months at the Puskesmas Kebumen I. The type of research used is quantitative by used desain pre-experiment one group pretest-post test designe. The number of samples was 38 toddlers aged 12-24 months by means of total sampling. The results showed that before being given schotle corn to toddlers aged 12-24 months the median weight was 8.05 kg and after being given schotle corn the median weight increased to 8.15 kg. After going through the nonparametric Wilcoxon test, the p value = 0.000 (p value 0.05), this shows the provision of corn schotle this shows that giving schotle corn is effective for weight gain in toddlers aged 12-24 months.
