Term " acupuncture" coming from Latin Ianguage “acus” meaning needle, and punctura meaning to be jabed. Abstract

Abstract

Objective: A cross sectional study from 49 cases of cervical carcinoma, diagnosed by histopathology, early staged was done by Oncogynecologist at Gyneco-Oncology clinic of Sanglah Hospital. Doppler ultrasonography was used to compared the different Pulsatile Index (PI), Resistance Index (RI) from artery intratumoral with diameter mass of the tumor, including operable and non operable. Method: This research was cross sectional study, present 49 samples established diagnosis with cervical cancer using anatomical patology analyzes and evaluation the staging by the supervisor in the policlinic of Oncology in Sanglah Hospital. Examination of intratumoral vascular cervical cancer Doppler ultrasonography was done at policlinic of Obstetrics Graha Amerta in Sanglah Hospital using Medison instrument, type Sonoace 8000 live prime. The data was analyzed using Kolmogorov Smirnov test normality, then the selected data with Independent Samples Test. Result: Profile mean of age and parity between operable cervical cancer and non operable was not significant (p > 0.05). The mean Pulsatile Index (PI) in operable sample is 0.66 ± 0.9, non operable sample is 1.11 ± 0.84, p=0.089 (p > 0.05), RI for operable sample is 0.32 ± 0.36 and non operable sample is 0.49 ± 0.28 (p > 0.05). Conclusion: There were no significant difference of PI and Resistance Index (RI) between operable and non operable on cervical cancer, but they were different in velocity mean. Abstract

Hormonal oestrus synchronization is often used to obtain the same gestational ages animal models, but it may not physiologic nor practical. This research was conducted to find out a simple method in obtaining physiologic pregnant experimental animals. We used 120 female rats and mice each, divided into 16 groups with 15 members each. They were classified according to the state of parities, pair or group mating, and synchronization of oestrous. The estrous synchronization is done by utilizing the natural phenomenon (Lee-Boot, Pheromone, and Whitten effect). All nulliparous and multiparous models then were simultaneously mated for one night in pairs (1:1) or in groups (1:5) subsequently. Pregnancy rates were noted based on the number of models delivering pups on day 19-23 post-mating. The highest pregnancy rate was noted in group of multiparous, synchronized and monogamous rats (86.7%), followed by nulliparous, synchronized and monogamous rats (73.3%) and multiparous, synchronized and monogamous mice (60%) (p<0.05). Synchronization of the estrous and monogamous mating of rats or mice had significant roles in pregnancy rates (p<0.05). To get a high number of pregnant rats or mice models, we suggest to use the multiparous, estrous synchronized and monogamous simultaneous mating within one night.

Abstract

Abstract

Around the world, preeclampsia (PE) influences five to eight percent of pregnancies and contributes significantly to maternal mortality. This study applies a scientific observational cross-sectional review to examine how TNF-α, TNF-R1, and TNF-R2 play their roles in normal pregnancy, preeclampsia, and preeclampsia associated with sepsis. Blood tests were gathered from subjects at a local medical clinic in Malang, Indonesia, and TNF-α, TNF-R1, and TNF-R2 levels were surveyed utilizing the Enzyme-linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) strategy. The results demonstrate raised TNF-α levels in both preeclampsia and preeclampsia with sepsis, along with expanded TNF-R1 and TNF-R2 receptor levels, signifying their association in these circumstances. Validation through bigger scope studies is basic, possibly situating TNF-α as an early indicative biomarker for sepsis. This study highlights the importance of TNF-α in pregnant mothers with preeclampsia and preeclampsia muddled by sepsis, uncovering possible analytic and remedial avenues.
