Abstract

Anxiety is a state of fear or an unpleasant feeling caused by many things such as individual health, social relations and so forth. Interpersonal communication anxiety is a from of anxiety experienced by individuals when they have to talk to others. The purpose this study is to describe the level of student anxiety in interpersonal communication with academic supervisors viewed from physical symptoms, mental or cognitive symptoms and emotional symptoms. The type of research used is descriptive research. The research population of the students of the Guidance and Counseling, Faculty of Education, Padang State University in 2019 the were 214 students. Samples were taken using simple random sampling technique, so that a total sample of 139 students was obtained. The study was conducted by administering the questionnaire instrumen. Data were analyzed by percentage analysis. The study shows the results (1) anxiety level in students interpersonal communication with academic supervisors as a  whole is in the medium category, (2) anxiety level in students interpersonal communication with academic supervisors seen from physical symptoms in the medium category, (3) anxiety level in students interpersonal communication with academic supervisors seen from mental or cognitive symptomsin the medium category, (4) anxiety level in students interpersonal communication with academic supervisors seen from emotional symptoms in the medium category.

Abstract

The construction of mosques in West Sumatra shows a rapid progress, the Grand Mosque of West Sumatra has become one of the landmark in Padang City as the capital of West Sumatra Province, it is located in a strategic location in the city of Padang, nevertheless the sign system infrastructure in the mosque layout has not optimal yet, including Identification Signs, Information Signs, Direction Signs and Regulatory Signs as directions sign, for serving the activities of pilgrims whovisit the area of West Sumatra Grand Mosque. The purpose of the sign system design for the Grand Mosque of West Sumatra is targgetted to effective indoor and outdoor area, informative and communicative for the visitors. The design method is the Black Box method, which is a main design process that is located in the thinking process through free exchange of ideas and then  systematically transformed. Data collection is obtained through observation, interview and documentation. The design analysis approach used is the 5W + 1H analysis. The main design of this media is identification signs, information signs, direction signs and regulatory signs. Meanwhile, the supporting media consists of umbrella, caps, prayer beads, al-quran reciting places, prayer mats, clocks, and mats / footwear.Key words : sign system, landmark, indoor, autdoor

Abstract

The purpose of this study to analyse: (1) The effect of social influence on switching intention’s online shop Tokopedia in Padang City, (2) The effect of price on switching intention’s online shop Tokopedia in Padang City, (3) The effect of Switching cost moderating social influence on switching intention’s online shop Tokopedia in Padang City, (4) The effect of Switching cost moderating price on switching intention’s online shop Tokopedia in Padang City. The population in this study were all Padang City’s residence, while the number of samples in this study was determined by the non- probability sampling method and the technique used was purposive sampling to obtain a sample of 100 samples. The analysis technique used is Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) analysis using Smart PLS Software 3. The result of this study indicates: Social influence and price has a significant and positive effect on switching intention’s online shop Tokopedia in Padang City. Switching cost has a negative and not significant effect to moderating social influence on switching intention’s online shop Tokopedia in Padang City. (4) Switching cost has a negative and not significant effect to moderating price on switching intention’s online shop Tokopedia in Padang City.

Abstract

Community skills are needed for every individual, not covering any age for both students and the general public, as for Kuliah Kerja Nyata (KKN), namely Community Empowerment Learning-based activities carried out by students. This research focuses on the impact of real work lectures on students' social skills. This research is a type of research that is a quantitative descriptive research. Data collection was obtained through filling out a list of questions (questionnaire) using the Google form. Data analysis using descriptive statistical analysis. The author found that targeted students improved their social skills, both in relation to the surrounding community and in relation to group relationships. The conclusion from the results of the tests carried out is that the implementation of work lectures has an influence on the development of students' social skills.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the patterns of digital consumption and the level of media literacy among the residents of Koto Mambang Village. Using a descriptive quantitative approach, data were collected through structured questionnaires distributed to 31 randomly selected respondents aged 15 years and above, complemented by brief interviews with selected participants. The findings indicate that internet usage is relatively high, with most respondents purchasing data packages monthly. WhatsApp emerged as the most dominant platform, followed by TikTok, YouTube, and Instagram. In terms of information literacy, over half of the respondents demonstrated critical awareness by verifying the truth of information before sharing it, while a smaller portion still relied on others’ opinions or spread information without verification. Although nearly half of the participants were familiar with fact-checking methods, a significant proportion remained unaware or only partially understood how to implement them. These results highlight that digital literacy in Koto Mambang Village has developed, yet disparities in knowledge and verification practices persist. Further educational initiatives are necessary to strengthen media literacy skills, particularly through participatory training programs that provide practical guidance on verifying online information

Abstract

Kegiatan Kuliah Kerja Nyata (KKN) merupakan bentuk pengabdian mahasiswa kepada masyarakat melalui pemberdayaan dan pengembangan potensi lokal. Desa Taratak Boncah Kota Sawahlunto memiliki potensi sumber daya alam yang dapat dikembangkan, salah satunya kemiri. Namun, pemanfaatan kemiri oleh masyarakat masih terbatas pada penggunaan rumah tangga dan belum diolah menjadi produk bernilai ekonomi tinggi. Oleh karena itu, program KKN berupa pelatihan pembuatan minyak kemiri dilakukan sebagai upaya meningkatkan keterampilan masyarakat dan menambah peluang usaha lokal. Metode pelaksanaan dilakukan melalui observasi, sosialisasi, pelatihan, serta demonstrasi pembuatan minyak kemiri. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa masyarakat memperoleh pengetahuan mengenai proses pengolahan kemiri menjadi minyak yang memiliki nilai jual lebih tinggi dibandingkan kemiri mentah. Program ini juga membuka peluang pengembangan usaha rumah tangga berbasis potensi lokal di Desa Taratak Boncah.

Abstract

Desa Wisata Batu Gantuang Kubang Tangah di Kecamatan Lembah Segar, Kota Sawahlunto, Sumatera Barat, merupakan destinasi wisata yang memiliki potensi alam yang masih terjaga dengan berbagai objek wisata seperti Batu Gantuang, Lubuak Antuan, Batu Ponjong, dan Air Terjun Burai. Penelitian ini menganalisis peran mahasiswa KKN dalam mengidentifikasi dan mengembangkan potensi wisata desa melalui pendekatan partisipatif yang melibatkan masyarakat lokal sebagai subjek utama pengembangan pariwisata. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik observasi, wawancara, dan studi dokumentasi untuk mengidentifikasi kontribusi mahasiswa dalam meningkatkan kapasitas masyarakat dan mengembangkan potensi wisata lokal. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa program KKN berhasil mengidentifikasi potensi wisata yang belum termanfaatkan optimal, merancang strategi pengembangan berkelanjutan, dan memberikan rekomendasi konkret untuk peningkatan infrastruktur dan promosi wisata. Meskipun implementasi fisik belum sepenuhnya terealisasi selama periode KKN, landasan konseptual dan partisipasi masyarakat yang terbangun menjadi modal penting untuk pengembangan jangka panjang.
