Background: Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) is a progressive decline in kidney function where the remaining kidney mass is unable to maintain the internal environment. End-stage kidney disease cannot be cured, when the body is unable to maintain metabolic, fluid and electrolyte balance, causing uremia. Problems caused by the buildup or lack of production of metabolic waste that cannot be excreted by the body can cause high blood pressure due to the buildup of sodium and water in the body. In this state, blood volume becomes excessive, and the effects of renin, angiotensin, and aldosterone, which stabilize blood pressure, decrease. Left ventricular hypertrophy due to dilated cardiomyopathy or hypervolemia. The purpose of dialysis is to maintain the patient's life and health until kidney function is restored. Objective: to find out whether there is an effect of Laughter Therapy to reduce high blood pressure in patients with CKD on HD. Method: The method used is measuring blood pressure before and after. Results: Blood pressure was measured, 180/100 mmHg to 160/90 mmHg. 190/110 mmHg becomes 160/90 mmHg. 180/110 mmHg becomes 170/90 mmHg, 190/120 mmHg become 160/90 mmHg. Laughter therapy for patients has a relaxing effect, relaxes muscles and reduces stress, thereby reducing patient scores. Conclusion: The conclusion regarding the innovative intervention of providing laughter therapy to chronic kidney failure patients to reduce hypertension in CKD on HD patients is influential.
