Abstract

ABSTRACT This research has been carried out at Villages of Ngara and Ri'a I, West Riung Sub District, Ngada Regency, from February to March 2018. This study aims to determine the income, break-even and feasibility of candlenut farming at West Riung Sub District Ngada Regency. The data collection method used in this study was a survey method and direct interviews with farmers. Determination of the study’s location was done intentionally (purposive sampling). 35 respondents were chosen as simple random sampling. The type of data collected were primary data obtained from interviews directly with respondent farmers who are guided by a list of questions, while secondary data obtained from relevant institutions and literature studies. To find out the first purpose of the data was analyzed quantitatively, to answer the second purpose of the data was analyzed using Break Event Point analysis and to answer the third goal using the R/C ratio analysis. The results showed that 1) the income of candlenut farming at the District of West Riung, Ngada Regency was Rp. 6.106.012,20, 2) break-even points including Production BEP of 41,29 kg, smaller than real production of 333,43 kg by the respondents and BEP Price of Rp. 2.825,83, smaller than real the price of Rp. 20.857,14 by the respondent’s, 3) R/C Ratio of8,09, this means that every one rupiah issued by the respondent’s farmer will benefit 8,09 as acceptance and it was feasible to cultivate. ABSTRAK Penelitian ini telah dilaksanakan di Desa Ngara dan Desa Ri’a I Kecamatan Riung Barat Kabupaten Ngada pada bilan Februari sampai dengan Maret 2018. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui besar pendapatan, titik impas dan kelayakan usahatani kemiri di Kecamatan Riung Barat Kabupaten Ngada. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode survei dan wawancara langsung kepada petani. Penentuan lokasi penelitian dilakukan secara sengaja (purposive sampling). Responden ditetapkan sebanyak 35 orang yang telah dipilih secara acak sederhana (simple random sampling). Jenis data yang dikumpulkan adalah data primer diperoleh dari wawancara secara langsung dengan petani responden yang berpedoman pada daftar pertanyaan, sedangkan data sekunder diperoleh dari instansi terkait dan studi literatur. Untuk mengetahui tujuan pertama data dianalisis secara kuantitatif, untuk menjawab tujuan kedua data dianalisis menggunakan analisis Break Event Point dan untuk menjawab tujuan ketiga menggunakan analisis R/C Rasio. Hasil penelitian adalah 1) besar pendapatan usahatani kemiri di Kecamatan Riung Barat Kabupaten Ngada adalah Rp 6.106.012,20, 2) titik impas meliputi BEP produksi sebesar 41,29 kg , lebih kecil dari produksi ril sebesar 333,43 kg per responden dan BEP harga sebesar Rp. 2.852,83, lebih kecil dari harga ril sebesar Rp. 20. 857,14 per responden 3) kelayakan usahatani sebesar 8,09 dan layak untuk diusahakan.

Abstract

This research has been carried out in the Oeba Traditional Market and Naikoten Traditional Inpres market in October to November 2017. The aim is to find out: (1) Purchase Volume of Mustard Consumer; (2) the preferred type of mustard; (3) identify the factors that influence the demand of mustard consumers; (4) Mustard Sales Volume. The method used in this research is survey. Determination of the location of research carried out by purposive sampling. Respondents were determined as many as 120 people. The type of data collected is primary data and secondary data. To answer the first and fourth objectives, the data were analyzed descriptively qualitatively, answering the second goal using a Likert scale and the third objective of the data analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results showed that; (1) Of the 5 types of mustard the lowest purchase volume is dominated by curly mustard, namely the frequency of purchases per week 1-2 times with a volume of 1 kg - 2 kg. (2) The results of the study of 60 respondents, namely: 30 respondents in traditional traditional markets in Naikoten and 30 respondents in traditional Oeba markets, there are 3 types of mustard which are included in the Average category, namely curly mustard greens, and white mustard, and 2 types of mustard which are included in Like categories namely: mustard huma, and mustard caisim. (3) together - all factors significantly influence the demand for mustard greens shown by the F-count (14.895)> F-table (2.54) is significant at α = 5%. While the results shown by t-count which significantly influence α = 5% are Consumer Taste, and Holidays / Holidays. While the price of mustard greens, other vegetable prices, consumer income, the number of family members, the volume of mustard greens prepared by traders does not significantly affect the demand for mustard. (4) The lowest sales volume of mustard is dominated by Curly mustard, that is 9 respondents or 5% who sell with a volume of 22 - 42Kg / week

Abstract

This research was conducted in Kila Village, Aimere Subdistrict, Ngada District in March to April 2018. The purpose of this study were to: (1) find out the large income of cashew farming at Desa Kila (2) knowing the size of BEP production and prices on farming Cashew nut at Kila Village (3) knows the relative advantages value of cashew farming on Kila Village. The research location was Kila Village, which was done intentionally because the location was one of the central production of cashew. Determination of respondents was done randomly, namely 10% (56 people) of the total cashew farmer population of 130 people. The results showed that the total income earned was Rp 112,417,688 with the average total income obtained from each respondent farmer in the amount of Rp 2,007,458.71. BEP Value of volume is 1.107,48 kgs with a total production of 6.255 kgs, which means that when the amount of production is 1.107,48 kg, cashew farming is in the amount of break even or the amouunt of production in return so that the total production of 6.255 kg has exceeded the break even profit. The BEP Value was Rp 3.866,76 and the average selling price was Rp 21.839,29 which means that when the cashew nut price was Rp 3.866,76/kg, the farmers has returned the capital or return of capital, so the average selling price of Rp 21.839,29 has been above the break-even price. Or in other words cashew farming was on a profitable position. The analysis results of the comparison of the revenue and cost elements of cashew farming revealed that the R/C ratio was 5,65 obtained from the total revenue of Rp 136.604.259 divided by the total cost of Rp 24.186.571. R/C Ratio of 5,65, which means that every one rupiah issued by the respondent will receive revenue of Rp 5.65 as a benefit of cashew farming activities. Because the R/C ratio was bigger than 1, it can be concluded that cashew farming was economically beneficial for farmers at the research location.

Abstract

Corn is a strategic food commodity in Indonesia. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of risk of sweet corn farming production and to determine the factors that influence production and the factors of risk to sweet corn farming production. The method used in this study was a survey method. The method was determined randomly. The data were obtained through intervi ews with 43 maize farmers randomly. The analysis method used was the coefficient of variation analysis and multiple linear analysis. The results showed the risk of maize farming production with moderate maize production factors was land area, fertilizer, labor, experience and pesticide with a risk level of 1% <CV 2%. The coefficient of variation in land area (0.1%), fertilizer (0.1), labor (0.1), experience (0.1) and pesticide (0.1) when compared with other production risk factors. Is the real land area and seed at alpha 5%. The source of the production risk at influence by pesticide where the pesticide variable with a coefficient value of 0.437 and a probability value of 0.001. So that the increase in the amount of pesticides has a significant effect on the risk of corn farming production.

Abstract

This research has been carried out in Hilihintir village, west Satar Mese district, manggarai regency. This research aims to determine (1) the factors that affect lowland rice farming, (2) how much technical efficiency is achieved in lowland rice farming, and (3) what are the sources of technical efficiency. Primary data were collected through interviews obtained from 61 respondents using questionnaires, the collected data were analyzed descriptively followed by frontier analysis 4.1c. The results showed that the variables of land area, seeds, labor, age and farmer group membership had positive effect on lowland rice farming, while the variables, fertilizers, pesticides, education level, farming experience and family dependents had a negative effect. The value of technical efficiency is 0.74 so that this farm is already technically efficient.

Abstract

Hortikultura menjadi salah satu komoditas yang banyak diusahakan oleh petani di Indonesia, salah satunya adalah Kelompok Tani Uimatkuli dan Moenfeu di Kabupaten Kupang yang membudidayakan tanaman kelor dan pare. Hasil panen sebagian diolah menjadi keripik pare dan stik kelor. Kualitas produk akan terjaga apabila dikemas dengan baik karena proses pengemasan bertujuan untuk melindungi produk dari berbagai penyebab kerusakan. Desain kemasan menjadi hal yang harus diperhatikan karena berfungsi sebagai media komunikasi kepada konsumen dan berpengaruh terhadap nilai jual dan citra produk. Pentingnya pengemasan dan desain kemasan dalam memasarkan produk belum dipahami oleh anggota Kelompok Tani Uimatkuli dan Moenfeu karena keterbatasan permodalan dan wawasan. Oleh karena itu dilakukan pengabdian dengan metode pendidikan masyarakat dan pelatihan. Metode pendidikan masyarakat dilakukan dengan memberikan sosialisasi mengenai pentingnya pengemasan dan desain kemasan, sementara metode pelatihan dilakukan dengan demonstrasi atau percontohan menggunakan alat dan bahan yang diperlukan dalam proses pengemasan. Hasil dari kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah seluruh anggota Kelompok Tani Uimatkuli dan Moenfeu memiliki wawasan dan keterampilan mengenai pengemasan dan desain kemasan. Adanya inovasi pengemasan dan desain kemasan yang dilakukan diharapkan dapat menarik lebih banyak konsumen, meningkatkan penjualan, dan pada akhirnya berdampak pada peningkatan kesejahteraan anggota kelompok tani.
