Abstract

ABSTRACT Previous studies mostly measured sharia financial inclusion using an index consisting of three dimensions: accessibility, availability, and usage. This research develops it by adding a digitalization dimension so that there are 4 dimensions in measuring sharia financial inclusion in Indonesia using an index. The first objective of this study is to visually illustrate the results of calculating the sharia financial inclusion index (in map form) in 33 provinces in Indonesia, using GeoDa software. Second, analyze the impact of sharia financial inclusion variables (the 4 form dimensions) that are calculated, on economic fundamental variables (growth, unemployment, poverty, and inequality) through a quantitative approach based on panel data analysis methods (FEM and REM). The secondary data used comes from the Financial Services Authority (OJK) and the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), in the 2015-2020 period. The results of this study indicate that sharia financial inclusion in Indonesia needs to be increased more evenly, so that it is not stagnant and centered in Java or provinces with a communal Muslim base (viewed from the results of index calculations) because the values "‹"‹are unequal between provinces. Meanwhile, the results of panel data analysis techniques show that variables reflecting the 4 dimensions of sharia financial inclusion have an impact on fundamental economic variables. Abstract

This study aims to analyse the competitiveness of the small and medium industries in East Java in the face of global economic openness. The method used is a cluster to find out the factors that influence the competitiveness of Small and Medium Industries (SME) by grouping them into groups based on similarity of characters. The use of the cluster method is carried out hierarchically, or processed through a series of successively fusing objects into groups. Based on the results of identification and analysis, then the conclusion, there are three cluster findings based on competitiveness categories. Cluster I is SME with low competitiveness, Cluster II is SME with high competitiveness, and Cluster III is SME with medium competitiveness. SME that have high competitiveness are SME that can increase efficiency in 2 fields, namely Production and Marketing. While SME that have medium competitiveness are SME that are superior in technology, so they can be classified in the creative industry.   Keywords: Competitiveness, Cluster, SME, East Jawa JEL Classification: O0; O1; O2; L6

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate three beach tourism destinations managed as assets by the Tulungagung Regency Government, namely Popoh Beach, Sidem Beach, and Sine Beach, to optimize their management and revenue generation for the benefit of the community and the region. The research employs an inferential quantitative method using negative binomial regression techniques, based on primary data collected through direct visitor surveys conducted in 2023. The fundamental model is developed using the Travel cost Method (TCM) as a concept to assess demand for environmental services in the form of recreational activities. The economic valuation results show that using the TCM method, the three beaches possess moderate potential value for commercialization. However, based on the annual revenue data, the total income generated by these beaches remains below IDR 1 billion, indicating challenges in promotion/branding, management, and commercialization (sales) strategies that need to be addressed moving forward. Meanwhile, the calculation of Willingness to pay (WTP) using the Contingent Valuation Method (CVM) focuses solely on the willingness to pay for increased ticket prices. When analyzing the consumer surplus values of each beach destination, it is evident that the consumer surplus significantly exceeds the total WTP
