Abstract

This research is purposedly done to describe activities of short stories learning implementation in Curriculum of 2013 in the stage of (1) building knowledge of the field, (2) modelling, (3) joint construction of the text, (4) independent construction of the text in SMP Negeri 1 Kecamatan Payakumbuh. The type of this research is qualitative research which use descriptive method. Observation and interview methods are used in the data collecting proccess. The output of the research shows that the teachers of SMP Negeri 1 Kecamatan Payakumbuh building knowledge of the field by using three kind of activities. They are introduction activity, main activity, and closing activity. Modelling stage is done by giving the students short stories that are cut from newspapers. Joint construction of the text is done in a group by using continue-the-storie technic. The independent construction of the text is done by giving the students different theme of stories, and then they are asked to produce, edit, and publicate the stories in the wall magazine.Kata Kunci: pelaksanaan pembelajaran, Kurikulum 2013, teks cerpen

Abstract

There are three purposes of this study. First, describe the writing skill level of exposition text of VIII studentsMTsN 2 Padang before using problem based learning (PBL) model. Second, describe the writing skill level of exposition textofVIII students MTsN 2 Padang after using problem based learning (PBL) model. Third, describe the influence of problem based learning (PBL) model onwriting skillof exposition text of VIII students MTsN 2 Padang. This research type is quantitative with experiment method. Abstract

ABSTRACT The purpose of this research there are three. First, it describes the skills of reading comprehension text story fantasy grade VII SMP Pembangunan Laboratorium UNP. Second, describing a fantasy story text writing skills grade VII SMP Pembangunan Laboratorium UNP. Third, describe the contribution of the reading comprehension skills of fantasy with story text write text stories fantasy grade VII SMP Pembangunan Laboratorium UNP. This research type is quantitative descriptive method. The design used in this research is the design contribution. This research population is grade VII SMP Pembangunan Laboratorium UNP are registered on the 2018/2019 school year, that is, 85 students. The sample in this research is determined using the purposive sampling of the population, i.e., 59 students. Research data is a score test results intermediate reading comprehension text story fantasy and score the writing skills test result text story fantasy. Research instrument is an objective test to measure the skills of reading comprehension text story fantasy and performance tests to measure the writing skills text story fantasy. The results of the research there are three. First, the skills of writing fantasy stories text grade VII SMP Pembangunan Laboratorium UNP are on more than enough qualifications (LdC). Second, the skills of reading comprehension text story fantasy grade VII SMP Pembangunan Laboratorium UNP are on more than enough qualifications (LdC). Third, intermediate reading comprehension text story fantasy contributions amounting to 21.25% against writing skills text story fantasy grade VII SMP Pembangunan Laboratorium UNP. Kata kunci: Kontribusi, Keterampilan, Membaca Pemahaman, Menulis, Teks Cerita Fantasi

Abstract

This article was written to describe the value of character education contained in the novel Surga yang Tak Dirindukan of Asma Nadia’s work and the implication for the study of the text of the novel. This research is qualitative research with descriptive method. This research are words, phrases, and sentences that show the value of character education derived from the novel Surga yang Tak Dirindukan by Asma Nadia, published by Asma Nadia Publishing house Depok in June 2014. Based on the results of analyzing the found as many as 129 values of religious character education, 13 values of responsibility character education, 17 values of mutual character education, 13 values of education are polite, 19 values of charahter education curious, and 19 honest character education value. Based on the results of the discussion it can be seen that the results of this study can be implicated in novel text learning. Kata kunci: nilai, pendidikan karakter, novel Surga yang Tak Dirindukan

Abstract

ABSTRACT This article reveals the contribution of skills reading comprehension text descriptions to writing skills text description grade students VII SMP Negeri Padang 12. The purpose of this research there are three. First, it describes the skills of reading comprehension text description grade VII SMP Negeri 12 field. Second, it describes the writing skills text description grade VII SMP Negeri 12 field. Third, describing the contribution of the intermediate reading comprehension text descriptions against writing skills text description grade VII SMP Negeri 12 field. This research type is quantitative descriptive method. The design used in this research is the design contribution. This research population is grade VII SMP Negeri Padang are registered on the 12th school year 2018/2019, i.e. as many as 286 students. The sample in this research are determined by proportional random sampling of 20% of the population, i.e. 54 students. Research data is a score test results intermediate reading comprehension text description and score the writing skills test result text description. The data obtained through two types of tests i.e. objective tests to measure the skills of reading comprehension text description and performance tests to measure the skills of writing a text description. The results of the research there are three. First, the skills of reading comprehension text description grade VII SMP Negeri Padang 12 are on good qualifications (B) by the value of the average 80.09. Second, the skills of writing text descriptions grade VII SMP Negeri Padang 12 are on good qualifications (B) with an average of 80.86. Third, there is a contribution of reading skills in the description of text to the skills of writing description texts of class grade VII SMP Negeri Padang 12 at 62.73%. Kata kunci: Kontribusi, Keterampilan, Membaca Pemahaman, Menulis, Teks Deskripsi.

Abstract

Abstract Study mean to explain the following two things. First, it describes the moral values of the novel My Father, Not a lie by Tere Liye. Second, the behavior shown in the characters. This type of research is qualitative using descriptive methods. The data source in this study is the novel My Father, Not a lie by Tere Liye. The data in this study are in the form of statement sentences, dialogues, and paragraphs. Data collection techniques, namely reading and marking events through the character's speech and the behavior shown by the characters. Second, recording data about moral values found in this novel by looking at the character's speech. Third, inventory data using inventory data tables. The technique of validating the data used a detailed description technique. The research result shows the following matters. First, the moral values in the novel My Father, Not a lie by Tere Liye contain 63 units of events. Second, the behavior shown in the novel My Father, Not a lie by Tere Liye, good morals consists of 53 units of events, while the behavior of bad moral values consists of 10 units of events. Kata Kunci: Nilai, Moral, Novel, Implikasi

Abstract

This paper is discusses the use of game in relation to some theories in the psycholinguistic area, kinds of game, and its procedures for elementary students. Game can be said as one of alternatives for joyful learning. In Psycholinguistic, it is believed that the use of game can stimulate the use of games stimulate the students’ cognitive and language development. This simulation occurs in the cognitive development and ability to use language productively, especially the ability to speak. The cognitive development and the ability to use language are one of the best techniques gained by applying these six games such as “please guess, riddles, twenty questions, charades, and let’ tell a story”. To achieve the expected result, these games need to be conducted by the appropriate procedures, of course, by analyzing students’ characteristics. It is expected that by applying these six games, the students’ difficulties in speaking can be reduced. Keywords: game, cognitive development, speaking ability, elementary students, psycholinguistics

Abstract

Learners are the subject rather than object in the learning process. Therefore, the implementation of learning should be able to give responsibility to the learners in managing the acquisition and learning results. Similarly, in learning the Indonesian language, learning the language is not directed so that learners understand the rules of grammatical and literary, but are able to develop the potential that exists in itself related to the communicative potential of language. This goal can be achieved if the learning is done by using the right approach, especially for young children. One method suggested is a natural method. The use of this method is based on the theoretical basis of language that emphasizes the role of transformational linguistic semantics as a builder and an adhesive element of meaning, both at the level of morphology and syntax. Learning theory is the foundation of cognitive psychology that emphasizes the role of cognitive ability as the basis for the development of knowledge, skills and attitudes. The application of this method is very relevant to the language development of elementary-school-age children because the achievement of learning objectives is done naturally. To make the learning takes place naturally, in the process of learning, teachers are expected to be able to present comprehensible input as much as possible. The assistance provided is aimed to develop the ability to understand. Tool-visual aids, for example, can be used to perform the exposure of vocabulary. The focus of learning is listening and reading activities, while the ability to speak and write will evolve slowly and sustainably in line with the ability to understand it. To lower the affective filter, learners are directed to engage in meaningful communication, rather than on language forms. Correspondingly, the input that was developed by teacher should be an interesting and challenging input.. Key words: Natural Method, Second Language Learning, Early Education

Abstract

This study aims to describe the use of sentences in exposition texts in terms of structural clarity, logical meaning, frugality of words and standardization of words in exposition texts by class X students of SMA Negeri 1 Nan Sabaris, Padang Pariaman Regency. This type of research is qualitative research using descriptive methods. The data to be obtained are words and sentences obtained from research data sources. The source of the data used in this study was exposition texts by class X students of SMA Negeri 1 Nan Sabaris, Padang Pariaman Regency, for the 2021/2022 academic year with a total of 30 student exposition texts. The data collection technique in this study is the fishing technique. The instrument in this study was the researcher himself and assisted by an inventory table. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that First, in terms of structural clarity consisting of clarity of active and passive structures, 47 non-standard sentences were found, 18 non-standard adverbial subjects were found, five non-standard predicates were found, non-subject adverbs were found. five non-standard sentences, and the subject is not missing found 16 non-standard sentences. Second, in terms of logical meaning, it consists of a logical relationship between the meanings of S and P found in 16 non-standard sentences and a logical relationship of detailed (parallel) meanings found in 13 non-standard sentences. Third, from the point of view of saving words consisting of using one subject from the same subject, three non-standard sentences were found, using one word from several synonymous words, 90 non-standard sentences were found, and using the words needed to express the author's intent, 125 non-standard sentences were found. . Fourth, in terms of word standardity, 32 non-standard words were found. the results obtained prove that the use of sentences in expository texts for class X students of SMA Negeri 1 Nan Sabaris Padang Pariaman Regency is still low.
