Abstract

The study departs from the fact that the most difficult activity in constructing tree volume table is measurement of diameter and length of section of standing sample trees. Besides, the number of sample trees to represent the population is also another problem. This study examines the construction of the volume equation through taper function by reducing the quantity of sample trees. Validation was also conducted for testing the accuracy of such volume equation. The study found that the best taper function was the third order polynomial model i.e., d/D=f{(h/H),(h/H)2,(h/H)3. The volume equation, constructed using only three sample trees by such taper function (V=0.3573337D2H), has almost the same good performance to equivalent the best model (V=6.14 10-5D1.8249H1.0342), that was constructed using 30 sample tree.Key words: taper function, tree volume equation, validation, accuracy, precision

Abstract

Knowledge is an important asset that is easily lost. This loss process has a significant impact on plantation research organizations whose research takes a long time. This research aimed to develop an ontology model for recording knowledge about oil palm varieties. In order to save knowledge, in this research nine oil palm varieties were modeled into ontology using the Web Ontology Language (OWL). Any information in oil palm varieties can be sorted and grouped into classes, object properties, data properties, or data expressions. The relationship between data in oil palm varieties can be well represented using ontology. Based on the results from HermiT reasoners, the ontologies with 43 classes are consistent. Information in the ontology of oil palm varieties can be easily rediscovered using the description logic query (DL-Query). The model produced from this research can be used as an initial model in designing knowledge management systems and ontology-based oil palm expert systems.Keywords: ontology, OWL, oil palm seed, knowledge management

Abstract

Pendidikan merupakan kunci dalam membentuk kehidupan manusia ke arah peradabannya, menjadi sesuatu yang sangat strategis dalam mencapai tujuan. Salah satu Upaya Mengoptimalkan Bimbingan Konseling Untuk Mengatasi Perilaku Menyimpang Siswa Kelas X IPS 1 dan IPS 2 di SMA Negei 2 Tanjung Kabupaten Tabalong. Dengan pelayanan BK yang optimal. Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Adapun setting penelitian adalah siswa Kelas X IPS 1 dan IPS 2 SMAN 2 Tanjung tahun ajaran 2018/2019, dengan jumlah siswa 58 orang. Data yang diperoleh dalam penelitian ini adalah data kulaitatif melalui pengumpulan kejadian yang direkam oleh guru. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian mengoptimalkan bimbingan konseling dapat meningkatkan kehadiran siswa ketidak hadiran siswa semakin menurun pada akhir siklus 1 dengan akhir siklus 2 dari 29,25 menjadi 23 dan 22 menjadi 6. Beberapa kendala yang berkaitan dengn kehadiran siswa, dapat diatasi guru dengan berbagai cara penyelesaian. Masalah siswa membolos, ijin dan alpha, sudah di angap berhasil dengan bimbingan kelompok individu dan pemberian motivasi yang lebih besar kepada siswa agar siswa lebih aktif dalam dalam masuk sekolah. Pengoptimalan bimbingan konseling dapat menurunkan pelangaran siswa siklus 1 dan siklus 2 mengalami penurunan disetiap pertemuannya dari pertemuan 1 data pelangaran siswa rata-rata 33.5 menurun menjadi 23, sedangkan pada siklus II pertemuan 1 rekapitulasi pelanggaran siswa 9.5 menurun menjadi 5.Berdasarkan hasil temuan tersebut penelitian ini dapat digunakan sebagai masukan bagi sekolah-sekolah dari Tingkat Pendidikan Menengah Pertama pada umumnya dan SMA Negei 2 Tanjung Kabupaten Tabalong pada khususnya, bahwa pencegahan pembentukan perilaku mennyimpang sejak sejak dini dicegah dengan tahapan-tahapan tertentu seperti pengunaan siklus ini. Hasil penelitian ini juga dapat digunakan sebagai landasan pengembangan penelitian yang akan datang.

Abstract

Glyphosate, which has been documented as a contaminant in tea, promotes the proliferation of human breast cancer cells (MCF-7). Tea, on the other hand, includes various antioxidants, including epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG), which may protect against cancer cell proliferation. The purpose of this research is to determine the preventive effect of concentrated brewed green tea on MCF-7 development caused by glyphosate. The glyphosate concentration that promotes MCF-7 development was determined using a serial concentration of glyphosate. Glyphosate concentrations of up to 64 mg/L were shown to have no effect on MCF-7 cell proliferation. Concentrated brewed tea and EGCG 200 mg/L have the potential to suppress MCF-7 cell proliferation in the presence of glyphosate up to 512 mg/L. The combination of glyphosate and concentrated brewed tea or EGCG protects against glyphosate toxicity via altering the expression of tumor suppressor protein (p53).

Abstract

Forty percent of the total oil palm plantation area in Indonesia belong to the smallholder palm oil plantations. The productivity of smallholder oil palm plantations is still relatively low, only around 2-3 tons of CPO/ha/year under PBN dan PBS. The aim of this study is to identify internal dan external constraints that cause low productivity of smallholder oil palm dan the recommended solutions. This research was taken in Sanggau dan Sintang Regencies which are the largest areas of smallholder palm oil plantation in West Borneo. Data obtained were analyzed by SWOT. The results showed that there were four main strategies to increase productivity dan solve problems on oil palm plantation in Sanggau dan Sintang Regencies, namely, 1) intensifying technical training of oil palm cultivation to increase the farmers’ knowledge dan capabilities, 2) increasing the role dan ability of farmer institutions both farmer groups dan ‘koperasi’ in establishing cooperation with stakeholders dan in marketing fresh fruit bunch (FFB), 3) escalating the awareness dan understanding of farmers in using digital information technology to support their business activities on oil palm, dan 4) strengthening the government protection against middlemen.
