Abstract

Background: Indonesia's rapid urbanization, particularly in megacities like Jakarta, requires innovative solutions for optimizing urban infrastructure and sustainability. Digital Twin (DT) technology presents a promising approach to improving energy efficiency in smart buildings and advancing the smart city agenda. However, challenges in infrastructure, workforce skills, and regulatory support hinder its implementation. Objective: This study reviews the application of DT technologies in Indonesia's smart city development, focusing on energy efficiency in smart buildings. It explores DT adoption, identifies barriers, and proposes strategies for overcoming these challenges. Methods: An integrative review following PRISMA guidelines was conducted, analyzing 260 peer-reviewed articles published from 2002 to 2025. The review examined global trends, policy alignment, DT applications, enabling technologies, and barriers in Indonesia. Finding: DT technology is increasingly applied in smart building energy management in Indonesia, including smart building monitoring and dynamic construction projects. However, adoption is limited by challenges such as inadequate IoT infrastructure, high investment costs, fragmented governance, and lack of technical expertise. The Indonesian government's 100 Smart Cities initiative offers a supportive policy framework for DT implementation. Conclusion:The study highlights the potential of DT to enhance energy efficiency and support sustainable urban development in Indonesia. It recommends addressing barriers through coordinated policies, investments in IoT infrastructure, and human capital development. Future research should focus on longitudinal studies and cross-city comparisons to evaluate DT's effectiveness in urban sustainability.

Abstract

Background: Indonesian hospitals are under intensifying pressure to digitalize, yet digital transformation (DT) does not automatically yield organizational agility a paradox that challenges conventional technology adoption frameworks. Despite government mandates such as Ministry of Health Regulation No. 24/2022 requiring electronic medical records, many hospitals remain trapped in administrative digitization without achieving strategic renewal. Objective: This study investigates the roles of Digital Transformation (DT) and Paradoxical Leadership (PL) in promoting Organizational Agility (OA) and Strategic Renewal (SR) in Indonesian hospitals, with OA as a mediator and PL as a moderator in the DT–OA relationship. Methods: A quantitative explanatory approach was employed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). Primary data were collected via structured questionnaire from 400 hospital managers and clinical administrators across Indonesian healthcare organizations, selected through purposive sampling. Results: The analysis reveals that DT does not directly influence OA, indicating structural limitations that hinder organizational agility. However, PL plays a significant moderating role that amplifies DT's effect on OA, demonstrating that leadership capability is crucial in managing strategic contradictions and facilitating technology adoption. Furthermore, OA proves to be the primary determinant of SR, enabling adaptive business model reconfiguration in the JKN era. Conclusion: The study confirms that the strategic success of healthcare institutions depends on the synergy between digital capabilities and managerial leadership capability in navigating organizational complexities. Paradoxical leadership is not merely a management style but a driving force that transforms digital investment into sustainable strategic renewal.

Abstract

The fashion industry is among the retail and consumer products sectors with the highest employee turnover rates, as reported by a LinkedIn survey in 2024. This study was conducted at a fashion brand company called Shieraki Group, aiming to examine the influence of Work Passion, Employee Engagement, and Performance Appraisal on Turnover Intention, with Job Satisfaction as a mediating variable among Shieraki Group employees. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to all 35 employees using a five-point Likert scale, with a saturated sampling technique. Data analysis included descriptive statistics, validity and reliability tests, and hypothesis testing using a bootstrapping method with 5,000 bootstrap samples and a 95% Confidence Interval through the Jamovi application. The results show that Work Passion has a significant negative effect on Turnover Intention, and Employee Engagement has a significant negative effect on Turnover Intention. Performance Appraisal has no significant effect on Turnover Intention. Job Satisfaction is unable to mediate the effects of Work Passion, Employee Engagement, or Performance Appraisal on Turnover Intention, as the psychological attachment of employees to their work operates directly and independently without requiring Job Satisfaction as an intermediary.
