<![CDATA[This research aims to describe and analyze the implementation of the Poverty Reduction Policy in the Perspective of Political Economy in Medan Belawan District, Medan City. The research method used is descriptive research method with a qualitative approach. The results showed that the implementation of poverty reduction policies in Medan Belawan sub-district from the perspective of political economy has been running quite well. The whole series or process of activities starting from the initial socialization, reflecting on poverty, implementing the program, monitoring the program all went quite well. The success of the Poverty Reduction Policy is greatly supported by the effectiveness of the implementing organizations in providing learning, mentoring, independence, for the poor. The obstacle that occurs in the implementation of this policy is that there are still poor people, most of whom are traditional fishing workers who have not received the benefits of assistance programs from the Government. This caused some of their children to drop out of school to work to help their parents.]]>

<![CDATA[This research aims to analyze the implementation of the Medan Outer Ring Acceleration Area Program in the Medan Tuntungan District and to find out the supporting and inhibiting factors. The research method used is descriptive research method with a qualitative approach. The results showed that the implementation of the accelerated development program for the outer ring region in Medan Tuntungan District was effective and was able to add and improve several facilities and infrastructures, not only road infrastructure, health infrastructure, educational infrastructure, but also added economic infrastructure. Factors that support infrastructure development in the District of Medan Tuntungan include Support of all citizens to government policies through proposals submitted to the Medan City Government regarding the need for infrastructure development in the District of Medan Tuntungan, in the context of accelerating regional development. Factors hampering infrastructure development in Medan Tuntungan Subdistrict are the lack of public awareness of the use and maintenance of infrastructure provided by the government, so that conditions are easily damaged and the limited regional budget for infrastructure development.]]>

<![CDATA[Pelatihan dan sosialisai diberikan kepada masyarakat yang dalam hal ini adalah para pedagang produk dodol di Dusun II Pasar Bengkel Kabupaten Serdang Bedagai. Dalam pelatihan ini, pihak mitra diberikan materi-materi pokok (modul) tentang strategi komunikasi pemasaran yang baik, benar dan sesuai untuk di implementasikan di sana. Pihak mitra lebih mampu mengembangkan potensi pangsa pasar melalui pendayagunaan media-media online sehingga tidak hanya terpaku dan bergantung kepada para pengguna jalan saja. Dengan demikian maka mitra lebih paham dan mengerti tentang langkah-langkah yang bisa diambil untuk mengatasi permasalahan yang sedang mereka alami. Target yang ingin dicapai melalui pengabdian ini adalah: (1) Jangkauan pangsa pasar para pedagang produk dodol di Dusun II Pasar Bengkel lebih luas dan meningkat. (2) Kelompok mitra terampil dalam mempromosikan produknya melalui toko-toko online dengan mengandalkan berbagai media sosial yang ada saat ini. (3) Kelompok mitra lebih teredukasi dalam mengembangkan usahanya melalui strategi komunikasi pemasaran yang telah diberikan nantinya. (4) Kelompok mitra mampu meningkatkan nilai jual produk dodol melalui beberapa keterampilan dan bantuan yang diberikan nantinya. (5) Dengan terlaksananya pelatihan dan sosialisasi strategi komunikasi pemasaran ini, maka diharapkan dapat meningkatkan taraf hidup kelompok mitra sehingga usaha produk dodol tetap lestari dan berkelanjutan.]]>

<![CDATA[This research aims to describe how the implementation of the policy to accelerate economic recovery and people's lives during the covid-19 pandemic in Medan Deli District and analyze the Supporting and Inhibiting Factors. The method used is descriptive research method with a qualitative approach. In-depth interviews with various stakeholders in the policy. The analysis was carried out qualitatively. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of the Policy for the Acceleration of Recovery of Economic Resilience and Community Life during the Covid-19 Pandemic in the Medan Deli District has been going quite well. The whole series or process of activities starting from initial socialization, poverty reflection, program implementation, program monitoring all went quite well. The success of the Policy to Accelerate the Recovery of Economic Resilience and Community Life During the Covid-19 Pandemic is strongly supported by the effectiveness of implementing organizations in providing learning, mentoring, independence, for underprivileged communities affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. The obstacle that occurs in the implementation of this policy is that there are still people who should be entitled to benefit from this policy program, do not receive social assistance, this is because they are not recorded in the list of beneficiaries. The weak data collection carried out has caused some problems in the distribution of social assistance.]]>

<![CDATA[One of the main problems caused by Covid-19 is the problem of communication, especially in controlling so that the virus does not spread quickly. The regional government of Batubara Regency, North Sumatra Province, is required to be able to make top-down policy adjustments from the central government to policies issued by the regional government in order to overcome the spread of the virus. The problem is the amount of information circulating in the community which makes it difficult to optimally handle Covid-19 in an area. Apart from disinformation about Covid-19 and vaccines, changes to Methode's policy were made by the government to anticipate the spread of the virus. This means that in a crisis situation like this the role of Public Relations from the Regional Government is very important in providing accurate and reliable information in order to gain public trust. This research is qualitative research with descriptive analysis. The purpose of this study is to explain the Crisis Communication of the Batubara District Government in Socializing Public Services During the Covid-19 Pandemic. The results of this study explain the Challenges of Handling Hoaxes in a Pandemic. The conclusion of this study explains the Sense of Crisis in conveying Information and Dissemination of Information regarding the spread of Covid-19. This research is the result of original research conducted by researchers in 2022.]]>

<![CDATA[Frankincense commodities play an important role in agricultural commodity production in Humbang Hasudutan. Traditional processing has become a local wisdom that has been practiced for years. However, the threat of eroding customary forests and the lack of marketing are obstacles faced by farmers. The purpose of this research is to find out the communication of government policies in developing frankincense commodities. The method used in this research is descriptive with a qualitative approach. The results show that policy communication is able to encourage the effectiveness of frankincense agricultural development in Humbang. Policies regarding socialization to farmers to understand how the food estate program takes place, encourage community involvement in supporting the development plan. Efforts to create farmer welfare, encourage the strengthening of farmer organizations to be an important need in supporting the development of frankincense commodities. Strengthening the organization is considered capable of overcoming the problem of marketing difficulties of frankincense production from farmers.]]>

<![CDATA[Ethics of manners in learning in elementary school is very important to be applied to children from an early age, such as student etiquette when communicating with teachers and classmates. In addition, student creativity can be expressed through ischool mading, in the mading summarized all school activities, extracurricular activities can be pasted on the mading, student and teacher achievements can be displayed on the mading, even the works of students and teachers can also be pasted on the school mading. The character of discipline is based on the reason that there are now many deviant behaviors that are contrary to disciplinary norms. The application of discipline starts from simple things such as disposing of garbage according to its type and place. USU's partner teaching campus is one of the activities carried out by the University of North Sumatra together with educational institutions that establish partner relationships with the University of North Sumatra. This activity aims to improve the quality and quantity of students of each party, both USU and institutions that are USU partners. The MITRA-USU Teaching Campus 2023 is a continuation program of the pioneering teaching campus that was introduced in 2020, as proof of the campus's dedication in the success of national education. The teaching campus that will be held at UPT SDN 067776 Medan Johor involves a student from campus, Field Supervisors, and Civil Service Teachers from the teaching elements of UPT SDN 067776 Medan Johor. USU 2023 partner teaching campus is part of the Independent Campus Learning program, where in this program students will provide learning assistance in the form of extracurriculars. In addition, this program is also a test of the application of knowledge that has been obtained while studying at the University of North Sumatra. USU Partner teaching campus can also be juxtaposed with Field Lecture Practice (PKL).]]>

<![CDATA[Inovasi teknologi pertanian menjadi kebutuhan penting dalam mendorong produktivitas pertanian. Besarnya potensi sektor pertanian di Sumatera Utara mendorong kebutuan inovasi menjadi kebutuhan mendesak. Melalui model Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) inovasi tersebut menjadi salah satu upaya dalam meningkatkan keamanan pertanian meski penerapannya masih terbatas. Melalui komunikasi pembangunan yang menyampaikan pesan inovasi menjadi kebutuhan penting dilakukan. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui bagaimana pendekatan komunikasi pembangunan dalam pengembangan inovasi GAP di Sumatera Utara. Metode penelitian digunakan deskriptif kualitatif dengan menggumpulkan literatur yang kemudian dianalisis. Hasil menunjukan, inovasi berbasis GAP di Sumatera Utara membutukan pendekatan komunikasi pembangunan yang lebih luas. Pendekatan berbasis budaya lokal, dan meningkatkan interakasi pengembangan. Media masa dan komunikasi langsung menjadi upaya penting dilakukan. Inovasi berbasis GAP dapat meningkatkan kesejateraan petani dan keamanan. GAP dapat mendorong pertanian berkelanjutan. Partisipasi menyeluruh antar pemangku kepentingan dapat mempercepat penerapan GAP.]]>

<![CDATA[Social media has become very interesting to use in the current digital era to interact and share information efficiently. However, the use of social media has positive and negative impacts on society, especially teenagers. Misuse of social media has negative impacts, such as the rise of bullying cases in adolescents on social media. This study aims to analyze the impact of bullying on social media on teenagers. The research method used is a descriptive qualitative research method with a literature review approach. Secondary data sources include journals, books, online media, and literature reviews. Data analysis in this study uses data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results stated that bullying on social media affects adolescents' mental health. The harmful perpetrators' negative behavior leads to a lack of understanding and awareness to use social media wisely. In this case, the importance of the role of the environment closest to adolescents provides education on behavior in social media and handling for victims of bullying.]]>

<![CDATA[This paper explores the ongoing struggles faced by Sudanese farmers within the broader context of government policies and socio-political challenges affecting the agricultural sector. Despite agriculture being the backbone of Sudan's economy, the sector has been hindered by inadequate government support, land disputes, poor infrastructure, and the exacerbating impacts of climate change. Through an analysis of recent farmer protests, land ownership issues, and the state's responses, this paper reveals a cycle of alienation and unrest among rural communities. Drawing from a range of sources, it argues that the government's failure to implement effective land reforms and provide adequate support for small-scale farmers has deepened the rural-urban divide and threatened food security. The paper concludes by calling for comprehensive reforms, including secure land tenure, increased rural investment, and climate adaptation strategies, to create a more sustainable and resilient agricultural sector.]]>
