Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menerapkan teknologi penyerapan emisi gas CO2 yang dihasilkan oleh industri dengan memanfaatkan mikroalga Euglena sp. yang dibudidayakan pada bioreaktor kolam kultur jenis raceway. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat bermanfaat dalam mitigasi efek gas rumah kaca yaitu mengurangi emisi gas CO2. Penelitian ini dilakukan di industri susu (PT Indolakto) yang berlokasi di Cicurug Sukabumi. Analisis sampel dilakukan di Laboratorium Kimia dan Lab Ekotoksikologi Balai Teknologi Lingkungan-BPPT. Kegiatan penelitian ini meliputi : (1) Karakterisasi Emisi Industri di Lokasi Uji Coba, (2) Pengoperasian Kolam Kultur, (3) Sampling dan Analisis Sampel. Pengkajian awal penyerapan emisi gas buang melalui pengaktifan mikroalga dengan kolam kultur volume 1000 L dari bahan stainless steel di industri PT Indolakto yang dilengkapi dengan alat penukar panas menunjukkan hasil penyerapan CO2 oleh mikroalga yang cukup menjanjikan. Sistem pengaliran gas CO2 pada sistem kolam kultur berjalan dengan baik. Hal ini terbukti dari berhasilnya gas buang dari boiler untuk didinginkan dari suhu sekitar 200 oC menjadi suhu dibawah ambien. Kecuali suhu, gelembung gas yang masuk ke dalam media pada kolam sudah cukup kecil (fine), sehingga kontak antara gas dengan media menjadi baik. Efisiensi penyerapan CO2 oleh Euglena sp. dapat mencapai 98,87% dengan pemberian CO2 rata-rata sebesar 167,26 gram/hari

Abstract

This study was conducted at Green House IPB Cikabbayan Darmaga Research Station. Soybean tolerance genotype (Ceneng) was crossed with sensitive genotype (Godek A) to study the mode of inheritance in tolerance to shade. Reciprocal cross were also made in soybean Ceneng and Godek A to study maternal effect. This experiment was conducted under artificial shading by using paranet with light intensity 75%. Material genetic were used Ceneng, Godek A, F1 and F1’ that were planted according to complete Randomized Experimental Design. The result of “t” test showed that anatomical , morphological characters, and molecular marker for tolerance and sensitive genotype was significant difference, while was no significant in F1 and F1’. This experiment can be concluded that there was no maternal effect found in the soybean crossing between tolerance and sensitive genotype.

Abstract

Profession has a code of ethics in the form of a behavior regulation tool for the caretaker of the profession. This regulation guarantees that services will be carried out professionally. School counselors face an exciting challenge of serving the millennial generation. This generation is a technology reliant, image driven, multitasking, open to change, confident, team oriented, rich of information, impatient and adaptable. Guidance and counseling services need to adapt the virtual concept, in this case digital services through social media for maximum service and reference.

Abstract

The experiment aimed at maximizing the speed growth and number of plants obtained by the mini-steck of jasmine (Jasminum sambac (L.) Aiton) cv. Emprit. Changes in benzylaminopurine (BAP), indolebutiric acid (IBA), and “rooton” concentration.were evaluated. Branchs were used as the plant material source, which consisted of axillary buds obtained after careful excision of the leaves. The following treatments were tested: solid media (soil : sand = 1 : 1) with different BAP concentrations (0.1, 3 and 5 mg/kg), IBA (0, 100, 200 and 300 ppm/kg), and “rooton” (0, 100, 200 and 300 ppm/kg) The results showed that shoots growth slowly in the media suplemented with BAP, however, IBA 200 ppm/kg media is better. Rooton with 300 ppm/kg media showed best results for rooting induction.

Abstract

Availability of moleculer marker to identify the important agronomic character of plant is needed to accelerate selection activity of plant. Particularly for the complex quantitatively inherited traits - like e.g. shading tolerance of soybean - the use of such a technique will speed up the process to produce adapted genotypes.The objective of this research is to identify the linkage of molecular marker RAPD with character of shading tolerance. The morphological specific characters wich is corelated to shade tolerance is the number of productive branchs. The intensity 75% of artificial shading is optimal level for doing selection of soybean genotypes. The inheritance of shading tolerance of soybean was controlled by gene with full dominant or by two genes pairs with dominant and ressesive epistasis. There was no maternal effect in the inheritance to shade tolerance. Heritability value (0.45 – 0.54) indicated that the proportion variation caused by the genetic factors was moderate. Molecular analysis by using RAPD technique showed that UBC153, ROTH 480.01, and ROTH 480.03 primer have polymorphic band that can be used for inheritance study and linkage analysis. All polymorphisms segregated independently of each ather. Interval mapping with Mapmaker/QTL indicated that the location of the three QTLs on linkage group were at marker tolerance locus of Roth 480.01-8125 , Roth 480.03-1125, and UBC 153-19125 .

Abstract

The agroforest region is bestowed with diverse agro-climatic zones, whichmakes itself a rich storehouse of different types of Flora and Fauna.Besides, this conditions help in introduction, acclimatization, andcultivation of a number of aromatic plants with minimum efforts. Thereare a few commercial crops, which can be cultivated without disturbingthe existing flora and have the potential to establish as cash crops inthis region.Patchouli (Pogostemon cablin) has been identified as one such essentialoil bearing aromatic plant with immense export potential. Patchouli oilproduction could be a rural based, labour intensive, low cost agro-basecottage industry, which will give large-scale employment in rural and hillyareas. Patchouli, being a shade loving plant can easily be grown as anintercrop amidst fruit trees, arecanut, and coconut plantation etc. It canalso be easily cultivated in flood free fallow or wastelands. This will providesome extra income for the farmers. Following figures clearly indicatesthat Patchouli cultivation can be a good option besides the traditionalcrops.

Abstract

Percobaan dilakukan di Rumah Kaca Balai Teknologi Lingkungan, BPPT , PUSPIPTEK Serpong Tangerang pada tahun 2011 . Penelitian ini diambil pada empat spesies mangrove muda (Rhizophora mucronata , Bruguiera sp , Sonneratia sp , dan Avicenia sp ) untuk menentukan dampak subletal dan kelainan pertumbuhan dipengaruhi oleh empat konsentrasi minyak ( 0 % , 10 % , 20 % , dan 30 % ) . Pengukuran dicatat meliputi: survival persen , tingkat pertumbuhan , perkembangan daun , persen defoliasi , jumlah pengembangan cabang , dan setiap pola pertumbuhan yang tidak biasa yang mungkin telah berkembang sebagai akibat dari kontaminasi minyak . Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa tidak ada yang signifikan relatif kecil minyak terpengaruh. The konsentrasi tertinggi minyak pengobatan tidak mempengaruhi mangrove muda sampai akhir percobaan ini . Rhizophora mucronata menunjukkan mampu menurunkan TPH tertinggi di antara empat spesies mangrove di semua konsentrasi minyak pengobatan. Pengamatan pada enam minggu menunjukkan rata-rata penurunan TPH 38,1 % dari konsentrasi minyak 10 % , 21,1 % dari konsentrasi minyak 20 % dan 21,1 % dari konsentrasi minyak 30 % . Sementara pengamatan pada minggu kedua belas menunjukkan rata-rata penurunan TPH 81,6 % dari konsentrasi minyak 10 % , 69 % konsentrasi  minyak 20 % dan 66 % dari konsentrasi minyak 30 % . Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa bakau muda yang efektif untuk menurunkan hidrokarbon minyak bumi . Kata kunci : polusi minyak , fitoremediasi , bakau , Rhizophora mucronata , Bruguiera sp , Sonneratia sp, Avicenia sp.  AbstractThe experiment were conducted at Green House of Environmental Institute of Technology, BPPT, PUSPIPTEK Serpong Tangerang in 2011. The study were taken on four species of young mangroves (Rhizophora mucronata, Bruguiera sp, Sonneratia sp, and Avicenia sp) in order to determine any sublethal impact and growth abnormalities affected by four consentration of oil (0%, 10%, 20%, and 30%). Measurements recorded include: percent survival, growth rate, leaf development, percent defoliation, number of developing branches, and any unusual growth patterns that may have developed as a result of oil contamination. The results of this study showed that no significant deferent of oil affected. The highest consentration of treatment oil was not affects to young mangrove until the end of this experiment.Rhizophora mucronata showed able to degrade TPH highest among the four mangrove species in all oil concentrations treatment.Observation onsix weeks showed an average of TPH reduction 38.1% of10% oilconcentration, 21.1% of 20% oil concentration and 21.1% of 30% oil concentration.While observations onthe twelfth weeksshowed an average of TPH reduction 81.6% of 10% oil concentration, 69% of 20% oil concentration and 66% of 30% oil concentration. Abstract

Mangrove area in Muara Angke was dominated by api-api (Avicenniamarina) and bakau (Rhizophora mucronata). We asume that thesespecies was able to acumulate h eavy metals, since both of them haveadapted in this environmental condition which content of highconcentration h eavy metals. The objective of this experiment was toanalyze heavy metals content in the tissue of api-api (Avicennia marina)and bakau (Rhizophora mucronata) in Muara Angke Jakarta. The resultsshowed that Cu was highest heavy metal content in root of bakau(24.431 ppm) . While 23.674 ppm of Cu was content in api-api roots. Cucontent in sediment was 26,640 ppm.

Abstract

Pengembangan koleksi merupakan aspek penting dalam meningkatkan kinerja perpustakaan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji peran pengembangan koleksi dalam meningkatkan kinerja perpustakaan melalui metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi pustaka. Studi ini meneliti berbagai literatur yang terkait dengan pengembangan koleksi perpustakaan, termasuk jurnal, buku, dan artikel yang relevan. Pengembangan koleksi tidak hanya mencakup penambahan jumlah buku, tetapi juga melibatkan pemilihan bahan pustaka yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan pengguna, penyediaan akses ke sumber daya digital, dan manajemen koleksi yang efektif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perpustakaan yang berhasil mengembangkan koleksinya secara berkelanjutan cenderung memiliki tingkat kepuasan pengguna yang lebih tinggi, peningkatan jumlah kunjungan, dan penggunaan sumber daya yang lebih optimal. Selain itu, perpustakaan yang mampu beradaptasi dengan perkembangan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi menunjukkan kinerja yang lebih baik dalam menyediakan layanan yang relevan dan up-to-date bagi penggunanya. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa pengembangan koleksi yang terencana dan terstruktur dapat meningkatkan kinerja perpustakaan secara signifikan. Oleh karena itu, perpustakaan harus terus berupaya mengembangkan koleksinya dengan memperhatikan kebutuhan dan preferensi pengguna, serta mengikuti perkembangan teknologi dan informasi. Rekomendasi untuk perpustakaan adalah melakukan evaluasi rutin terhadap koleksi yang ada, mengidentifikasi kebutuhan pengguna secara berkala, dan mengalokasikan sumber daya yang memadai untuk pengembangan koleksi. Dengan demikian, perpustakaan dapat berfungsi secara optimal sebagai pusat informasi dan pengetahuan yang mendukung proses pembelajaran dan penelitian.
