Abstract

This study was aimed to investigate the effect of Student Facilitator and Explaining Strategy in teaching speaking in terms of fluency and grammar at the second grade students of MAS Al Zahrah Bireuen in academic year 2017/2018. The research is an experimental research. The sample of the research was two classes; experimental (xib) and control classes (xic). Both classes consisted 25 students. The technique of choosing the samples was random sampling. The data were collected through tests and questionnaire. The data were analyzed by using SPSS 23 to find t-test score between two classes and the data from questionnaire to find the students’ responses toward the use Student Facilitator and Explaining Strategy of experimental class. Based on data analysis, the result of t-test of fluency is 2.48 and grammar is 3.84 are higher than t-table (2.01). Than, students had a quite positive responses (80%) toward the use of Student Facilitator and Explaining Strategy in terms of fluency and grammar. Therefore, it could be concluded that Student Facilitator and Explaining Strategy effectively improved students’ achievement in speaking skill in terms of fluency and grammar.

Abstract

Miskonsepsi adalah kesalahan dalam memahami suatu konsep yang ditujukan dengan kesalahan menjelaskan dalam bahasanya sendiri. Miskonsepsi dalam pelajaran Biologi dapat menjadi masalah serius jika tidak segera diperbaiki, sebab kesalahan satu konsep dasar saja dapat menuntun seorang peserta didik pada kesalahan yang terus menerus. Karena sebuah konsep dasar dalam pelajaran Biologi akan terus diaplikasikan ke materi selanjutnya. Adanya miskonsepsi dalam pikiran peserta didik akan menghambat proses penerimaan dan asimilasi pengetahuan pengetahuan baru peserta didik mengenai konsep-konsep Biologi. Penelitian ini berupaya mengidentifikasi miskonsepsi siswa pada materi fotosintesis di kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Peusangan. Secara khusus penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui (1) ada tidaknya miskonsepsi dan (2) subkonsep paling sering terjadi miskonsepsi pada siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Peusangan. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kualitatif, sedangkan jenis penelitian adalah deskripstif. Subjek penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Peusangan tahun pelajaran 2022/2023 yang berjumlah 50 orang. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan teknik tes diagnostik yang dilengkapi dengan CRI (Certainty of Response Index) dan wawancara. Wawancara bertujuan mengetahui bagaimana dan mengapa siswa berfikir seperti itu serta dari mana mendapatkan konsep dari jawaban yang telah dipilih. Pengolahan data menggunakan teknik perhitungan persentase. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa miskonsepsi muncul pada 6 indikator soal, yaitu pada soal pengertian fotosintesis sebesar 74,15% untuk soal faktor yang mempengaruhi fotosintesis sebesar 74,10%, untuk soal fungsi klorofil sebesar 61,79%, untuk soal keuntungan fotosintesis sebesar 62,92%, untuk soal faktor yang tidak mempengaruhi fotosintesis sebesar 77,52%, dan terakhir untuk soal letak pengikatan CO2 pada fotosintesis sebesar 69,66%. Penyebab miskonsepsi pada peserta didik dikarenakan peserta didik itu sendiri, bahan ajar dan metode mengajar yang digunakan oleh pendidik. Berdasarkan analisis data tersebut menunjukkan bahwa CRI efektif digunakan untuk mengetahui miskonsepsi sedangkan wawancara kegiatan pembelajaran digunakan dalam mengetahui alasan yang menyebabkan peserta didik mengalami miskonsepsi. Abstract

Bullying is a serious issue that occurs not only in public schools but also in pesantren, despite their focus on moral and religious values. This study aims to identify the types of bullying, its contributing factors, and the strategies implemented to address it at Pesantren Terpadu Al-Furqan. Using a qualitative approach, data were collected through interviews, observations, and document analysis. The findings reveal that bullying in the pesantren encompasses verbal, social, and physical forms, driven by hierarchical seniority, a lack of awareness about the impacts of bullying, and differences in students' backgrounds. To address these issues, the pesantren has implemented strategies such as character education based on Islamic values, the formation of anti-bullying communities, strict supervision, psychological counseling services, and a confidential reporting system. These efforts have successfully created a more conducive environment by increasing students' awareness of mutual respect, improving social interactions, and reducing bullying cases. This study highlights the importance of a comprehensive approach to bullying prevention to establish a safe and supportive educational environment that fosters character development among students.

Abstract

The integration of Aqidah (Islamic creed) and English language education presents both opportunities and challenges in contemporary schooling. While globalization demands proficiency in English, it is crucial that Islamic values are preserved in the educational process. This research aims to explore the potential of combining Aqidah and English language teaching in order to create a comprehensive approach that nurtures both faith and linguistic skills in students. The study employs a qualitative research design, utilizing interviews and surveys with educators and students from Islamic schools. Data were collected through open-ended questions, and thematic analysis was applied to identify emerging trends. The findings indicate that integrating Aqidah with English language learning provides a holistic approach to education, enhancing students' understanding of both religious principles and language skills. However, challenges such as a lack of relevant teaching materials and insufficient teacher training were noted. This study concludes that a strategic approach to curriculum development, teacher training, and resource integration is essential for the successful implementation of this collaborative model. It is recommended that future research further investigates the practical applications and long-term effects of this integration on student performance and character development.
