Abstract

The Persistence of Clomazone and Pendimethalin Herbicides in Soybean Cultivar of Argo MulyoABSTRACT. A field research has been conducted in PT. Syngenta RD Station Cikampek, Karawang to investigate the persistence of clomazone and pendimethalin herbicides in soybean cultivar of Argo Mulyo. The dosage of clomazone and pendimethalin herbicides used were: 0.75; 1.50; and 2.25 kg a.i. ha-1. The persistence of clomazone and pendimethalin herbicide varied from 28 to 96 days and 43 to 75 days, respectively. The persistence of clomazone herbicide was longer than the of pendimethalin.

Abstract

ABSTRAK. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh dosis pupuk N dan P serta media tanam terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman kacang tanah. Ada 2 faktor yang diteliti yaitu dosis pupuk N dan P terdiri dari 4 taraf: tanpa pupuk, 0,21 + 0,21, 0,26 + 0,32, dan 0,32 + 0,42 g/pot. Faktor media tanam terdiri atas 3 taraf yaitu: tanah Entisol tidak tercemar tanpa isolat bakteri, tanah Entisol tercemar tanpa isolat bakteri dan tanah Entisol tercemar diberi isolat bakteri. Peubah yang diamati yaitu tinggi tanaman, diameter pangkal batang, jumlah polong, berat polong dan jumlah polong bernas pertanaman, berat basah dan kering berangkasan tunas, berat basah dan kering berangkasan akar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pertumbuhan tanaman kacang tanah terbaik dijumpai pada perlakuan dosis pupuk N dan P 0,32 + 0,42 g/pot (90 kg urea + 120 kg SP36/ha). Selanjutnya pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman kacang tanah terbaik dijumpai pada media tanam tanah entisol tidak tercemar tanpa isolat bakteri. Pertumbuhan dan hasil kacang tanah pada tanah tercemar hidrokarbon diberi isolat bakteri lebih baik bila dibandingkan dengan tanah tercemar hidrokarbon tanpa isolat bakteri. The Growth and Yield of Peanut (Arachis hypogeal L.) by Affected Nitrogen and Phospate Fertilizers on Growing Media of Hydrocarbon ContaminatedABSTRACT. This study aims to determine the effect of N and P fertilizers and growing media on the growth and yield of peanut plants. There are 2 factors studied were N and P fertilizer consists of 4 levels : no fertilizer , 0.21 + 0.21 , 0.26 + 0.32 and 0.32 + 0.42 g / pot. Factors planting medium consisting of 3 levels: Entisol uncontaminated soil without bacterial isolates, entisols contaminated soil without bacterial isolates and soil contaminated Entisol given bacterial isolates. Parameters observed that the plant height, stem diameter, number of pods , pod weight and number of pods pithy planting, wet and dry weight of shoots, wet and dry weight of roots. The results showed that the best peanut plant growth observed in the treatment of N and P fertilizer dose of 0.32 + 0.42 g / pot ( 90 kg urea + 120 kg SP36/ha). Furthermore, growth and yield of peanut plants best observed in growing media entisols uncontaminated soil without bacterial isolates. Growth and yield of hydrocarbon contaminated peanuts given bacterial isolates better when compared with hydrocarbon contaminated soil without bacterial isolates.

Abstract

The Effect of Spacing Between Rows of Several Varieties of Sweet Corn and Kidney Beans Growth and Yield for Intercropping SystemABSTRACT. The research was to find the effect of  planting distance and some varieties on intercropping system of sweet corn and kidney beans to improve growth and   yield.  The experimental design was Complete Block Randomized with two factors and two replications. The first factor was planting distance between rows of sweet corn intercropping system (J1=60cmx30cm; J2=80cmx30cm; J3=100cmx30cm).  Then the second factor was variety (V1= Kumala F1; V2= King Sweet F1; V3=Super Bee). The results indicated that the best planting distance on intercropping some varieties of sweet corn and kidney bean was 100cmx30cm for sweet corn and 80cmx30cm and 100cmx30cm for kidney bean. The varieties treatment showed that the best variety of sweet corn was Super Bee and kidney bean was King Sweet F1. There was significantly different interaction between planting distance and varieties on intercropping system of sweet and kidney bean on the corn husk weight of sweet corn.

Abstract

Using Organic Priming and Incubation Period for Invigoration of Chilli Seed Expired at Germination Stage ABSTRACT. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of organic priming and incubation period to increase viability and vigor of expired chilli seeds and interaction between of two factors. This research was conducted in the Laboratory of Seed Science and Technology Faculty of Agriculture, Syiah Kuala University in Banda Aceh, from March until November 2012. Using completely randomized design (CRD) factorial, the first factor is organic priming (banana extract and coconut water) and the second factor is incubation period (24, 48, 72 hours). The results showed that interaction between types of organic priming and incubation period significan affect to increase viability and vigor of expired chilli seeds, especially on potential growth, germination, speed of germination, first count germination and T50. The best treatment showed by using coconut water and 48 hours incubation periods.

Abstract

Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh dosis ampas tahu dan konsentrasi pupuk agrobost serta interaksi antara terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman jagung manis. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Kebun Percobaan dan Laboratorium Fisiologi Tumbuhan Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Syiah Kuala Banda Aceh pada bulan Januari sampai April 2018. Rancangan yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Kelompok pola faktorial 4 x 3 dengan 3 kali ulangan. Faktor pertama adalah dosis ampas tahu dan faktor kedua adalah konsentrasi pupuk Agrobost. Peubah yang diamati yaitu tinggi tanaman, diameter batang, panjang tongkol berkelobot, panjang tongkol tanpa kelobot, berat tongkol berkelobot, berat tongkol tanpa kelobot dan potensi hasil. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dosis ampas tahu berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman 45 HST, diameter batang umur 30 HST dan 45 HST, panjang tongkol berkelobot, tanpa kelobot, berat tongkol berkelobot dan tanpa kelobot, potensi hasil berkelobot dan tanpa kelobot, berpengaruh nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman 15 HST dan 30 HST serta diameter batang 15 HST. Perlakuan konsentrasi pupuk Agrobost berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap diameter batang 30 dan 45 HST, panjang tongkol berkelobot, panjang tongkol tanpa kelobot, berat tongkol berkelobot, berat tongkol tanpa kelobot, potensi hasil berkelobot dan potensi hasil tanpa kelobot. Namun tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap tinggi 15 dan 45 HST serta diameter 15 HST. Tidak terdapat interaksi yang  nyata antara dosis ampas tahu dan konsentrasi pupuk Agrobost terhadap semua peubah  pengamatan.  Perlakuan dosis ampas tahu 10, 20 dan 30 ton/ha  memberikan pertumbuhan dan hasil jagung  manis yang sama baiknya, namun dari segi ekonomis 10 ton/ha lebih efektif untuk digunakan. Perlakuan pupuk agrobost yang lebih baik di jumpai pada konsentrasi 15 ml/l air yang memberikan pertumbuhan dan hasil jagung manis dibandingkan dengan kontrol dan 30 ml/l air.Kata kunci : Ampas Tahu, Agrobost, Jagung ManisEfect of Dosage Tofu Dregs and Agrobost Fetilezer to Growth and Yield of Sweet Corn Crops Zea mays saccharat Sturt.Abstrack. This research was conducted to know wheter the effect of dosage tofu dregs and agrobost fertilizer consentration and interaction between both of it to growth and yield of sweet corn crops. This research did at. Experimental Farm and Plant Phaysiology Laboratory of Syiah Kuala University, Banda Aceh, on January to April 2018. The design was used  Randomized Block Design (RBD) 4 x 3 factorial pattern with 3 times repeated. The first factor was dosage of tofu dregs (D) and the second factor was agrobost consentration (T). The observed variables were plant height, stem diameter, length of cob weighted, length of cob without weighted, weight of cob weighted, weight of cob weight without weight and yield potential. The results showed that dosage of tofu dregs very significant effect on plant height of 45 DAP, stem diameter of 30 DAP and 45 DAP, length of cob weighted, length of cob without weighted, weight of cob weighted and weight of cob without weighted, yield potency of cob weighted and yield potency of cob without weighted. The significant effect on  plant height of 15 DAP and 30 DAP and stem diameter of 15 DAP. Agrobost fertilizer concentration was very significant effect on stem diameter of 30 and 45 DAP, length of cob weighted, length of cob without weighted, weight of cob weighted, weight of cob without weighted, yield potency of cob weighted and yield potency without weighted. However, no significant effect on the plant height of  15 and 45 DAP and the diameter of 15 DAP. There were no interaction between dregs of tofu and Agrobost fertilizer concentration on all observation parameters. The treatment of  dregs tofu 10, 20 and 30 tons/ha the same growth and yield of sweet corn, but terms of economical 10 tons/ha is more effective to use. The treatment of agrobost fertilizer  was found better at concentration of 15 ml/l water which gave growth and sweet corn yield compared to the control and 30 ml/l water.Keyword: Dregs of Tofu, agrobost, Sweet Corn

Abstract

Abstrak. Aplikasi jenis oksifluorfen serta dosis herbisida mampu memberikan peningkatan terhadap pengelolaan gulma dan memberikan penurunan resistensi gulma oleh herbisida. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui karakteristik gulma pada jenis dan dosis herbisida oksifluorfen dan pendimethalin serta interaksi keduanya pada tanaman kedelai. Rancangan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu  RAK pola faktorial 2 x 5 dan diulang sebanyak 3 kali. Adapun faktor pertama terdiri dari 2 taraf yaitu jenis herbisida yang terdiri dari oksifluorfen serta pendimethalin, faktor kedua terdiri dari dosis herbisida 0, 0,5, 1, 1,5, serta 2 kg b.a ha-1, sehingga diperoleh 10 kombinasi perlakuan dan 30 unit percobaan. Adapun hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa takaran dosis herbisida 0,5-2 kg b.a ha-1 bisa memberikan peningkatan terhadap persentase pengendalian gulma, serta mampu memberikan penurunan persentase penutupan gulma. Adanya interaksi serta dosis dan jenis herbisida oksifluorfen takaran 1,5 kg b.a ha-1 memberikan penurunan individu dan menurunkan bobot kering gulma.Weeds Characteristics Due to Dose of Oxyfluorfen and Pendimethalin Herbicides in Soybean (Glycine max L. Merrill)Abstract. Oxyfluorfen application and herbicide dosage were able to improve weed management and reduce weed resistance by herbicides. The purpose of study was determined at the characteristics of weed due type and dose of herbicides oxyfluorfen and pendimethalin and their interactions on soybean plants. The design was used this study with RBD a factorial pattern of 2 x 5 and was repeated with 3 times. The first factor consisted of 2 levels, namely type of herbicide consisting oxyfluorfen and pendimethalin, the second factor consisted herbicide doses of 0, 0,5, 1, 1,5, and 2 kg b.a ha-1, in order obtain 10 combinations and 30 experimental unit. The results showed  the herbicide dose of 0,5-2 kg b.a ha-1 could increase weed control and reduce percentage of weed cover. The interaction as well dose and type oxyfluorfen herbicide at a dose 1,5 kg b.a ha-1 gave decrease individuals and reduced weed dry weight.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh dosis kompos limbah sereh wangi dan pupuk NPK serta interaksi diantara kedua perlakuan tersebut terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman bawang putih di dataran tinggi Gayo Lues. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dari bulan Januari sampai dengan April 2021di Kampung Beranang Kecamatan Kutapanjang Kabupaten Gayo Lues dan Laboratorium Dasar PSDKU Gayo Lues. Rancangan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Rancangan Acak Kelompok pola faktorial 3 x 3 dengan 3 ulangan. Faktor yang diteliti adalah dosis kompos limbah sereh wangi yang terdiri dari 3 taraf yaitu kontrol, 10 ton ha-1 dan 20 ton ha-1 dan dosis pupuk NPK terdiri dari 3 taraf yaitu 400 kg ha-1, 600 kg ha-1 dan 800 kg ha-1. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kompos limbah sereh wangi berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap jumlah siung umbi per rumpun dan diameter umbi. Pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman bawang putih di dataran tinggi Gayo Lues yang terbaik dijumpai pada dosis kompos limbah sereh wangi 20 ton ha-1. Perlakuan dosis pupuk NPK berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap jumlah siung umbi per rumpun dan diameter umbi. Pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman bawang putih di dataran tinggi Gayo Lues yang terbaik dijumpai pada dosis pupuk NPK 800 kg ha-1. Terdapat interaksi yang tidak nyata antara dosis kompos limbah sereh wangi dengan pupuk NPK terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman bawang putih di dataran tinggi Gayo Lues. The Effect of Citronella Waste Compost and NPK Fertilizer on Growth and Yield of Garlic (Allium sativum L.) in the Gayo Lues Highlands This study aims to determine the effect of the dose of citronella waste compost and NPK fertilizer and the interaction between the two treatments on the growth and yield of garlic plants in the Gayo Lues highlands. This research was conducted from January to April 2021 in Beranang Village, Kutapanjang District, Gayo Lues Regency and Gayo Lues PSDKU Basic Laboratory. The design used in this study was a 3 x 3 factorial randomized block design with 3 replications. The factors studied were the dose of citronella waste compost which consisted of 3 levels, namely control, 10 tons ha-1 and 20 tons ha-1 and the dose of NPK fertilizer consisted of 3 levels, namely 400 kg ha-1, 600 kg ha-1 and 800 kg ha-1. The results showed that citronella waste compost had a very significant effect on the number of bulbs per clump and tuber diameter. The best growth and yield of garlic in the Gayo Lues highlands was found at a dose of citronella waste compost of 20 tons ha-1. The dose of NPK fertilizer had a very significant effect on the number of bulbs per clump and tuber diameter. The best growth and yield of garlic in the Gayo Lues highlands was found at a dose of 800 kg ha-1NPK fertilizer. There was no significant interaction between the dose of citronella waste compost and NPK fertilizer on the growth and yield of garlic plants in the Gayo Lues highlands.

Abstract

Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh konsentrasi pupuk organik cair dan varietas yang tepat serta interaksi antara kedua faktor tersebut terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman tomat. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Desa Peparik, Kecamatan Blangjerango, Kabupaten Gayo Lues dan Laboratorium Dasar Kampus USK PSDKU Gayo Lues, berlangsung dari bulan Januari sampai Maret 2021. Rancangan Penelitian yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Kelompok pola faktorial 4x3 dengan 3 ulangan sehingga terdapat 12 kombinasi perlakuan dan 36 unit percobaan. Faktor yang diteliti yaitu konsentrasi pupuk organik cair super ACI yang terdiri dari 4 taraf yaitu 0, 1.5, 3, 4.5 ml/L air dan varietas yang terdiri dari 3 taraf yaitu lokal Gayo, Cheery dan Karina. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Konsentrasi pupuk organik cair super ACI berpengaruh tidak nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman, diameter batang umur 15, 30 dan 45 HST, umur berbunga, jumlah buah per tanaman, jumlah buah per tandan, bobot buah per tanaman, bobot buah per buah dan potensi hasil. Pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman tomat cendrung lebih tinggi dijumpai pada konsentrasi pupuk organik cair Super ACI 1,5 ml/ L air. Varietas tomat berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman umur 15 dan 30 HST, umur berbunga, jumlah buah per tanaman, bobot buah per tanaman, bobot buah perbuah, dan potensi hasil namun berpengaruh tidak nyata nyata terhadap  tinggi tanaman umur 45 HST, diameter batang umur 15, 30, 45 HST  dan jumlah buah per tandan. Pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman tomat terbaik dijumpai pada perlakuan varietas Lokal. The results showed that the concentration of super liquid organic fertilizer aCI has no real effect on the height of the plant, the diameter of the stems aged 15, 30 and 45 HST, the age of flowering, the number of fruits per day The growth and yield of higher tomato plants is found in the concentration of Super ACI liquid organic fertilizer of 1.5 ml / L of water. Tomato varieties have a very real effect on the height of plants aged 15 and 30 HST, flowering age, number of fruits per plant, weight of fruit per plant, weight of fruit, and potential yields but the effect is not noticeable on the height of the plant age of 45.HST, the diameter of the stem is 15, 30, 45 HST and the number of fruits per bunch. The best growth and yield of tomato plants is found in the treatment of local varieties. There is an unreal interaction between the concentration of Super ACI liquid organic fertilizers and varieties to the growth and yield of tomato plants.

Abstract

Abstrak. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Kebun Percobaan dan Laboratorium Fisiologi Tumbuhan Fakultas Pertanian, Universitas Syiah Kuala. Faktor pertama yaitu waktu pemangkasan pucuk mentimun yaitu tanpa pemangkasan pucuk, pemangkasan pucuk 2 minggu setelah tanam, pemangkasan pucuk 3 minggu setelah tanam. Faktor kedua yaitu konsentrasi pupuk organik cair yaitu 0, 2, 4 dan 6 ml L-1 air. Terdapat interaksi sangat nyata antara waktu pemangkasan pucuk dengan konsentrasi pupuk organik cair terhadap jumlah bunga jantan, diameter buah dan berat per buah, serta interaksi yang nyata terhadap panjang buah. Kombinasi perlakuan yang lebih baik terhadap jumlah bunga jantan, terdapat pada perlakuan pemangkasan pucuk 3 minggu setelah tanam dengan pupuk organik cair 4 ml L-1 air, sedangkan pada diameter buah, panjang buah dan berat per buah kombinasi perlakuan yang lebih baik dijumpai pada tanpa pemangkasan dengan konsentrasi pupuk organik cair 4 ml L-1 air.Effect of Pruning Time and Concentration of Liquid Organic Fertilizer on Growth and Yield of Cucumber (Cucumis sativus L.)Abstract. This research was conducted at the Experimental Garden and Plant Physiology Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Syiah Kuala. The study took place from October to December 2021 using a factorial Randomized Block Design. The first factor was the time of pruning cucumber shoots, i.e. without top pruning, shoot pruning 2 weeks after planting, and top pruning 3 weeks after planting. The second factor was the concentration of liquid organic fertilizer, namely 0, 2, 4 and 6 ml L-1 of water. There is a very significant interaction between the time of pruning shoots and the concentration of liquid organic fertilizer on the number of male flowers, fruit diameter and fruit weight, as well as a significant interaction on fruit length. The combination of treatments that were better for the number of male flowers was found in the treatment of pruning shoots 3 weeks after planting with liquid organic fertilizer 4 ml L-1 of water, whereas in terms of fruit diameter, fruit length and weight per fruit a better treatment combination was found without pruning. with a concentration of liquid organic fertilizer 4 ml L-1 water.

Abstract

Abstrak. Melon merupakan jenis tanaman hortikultura termasuk kedalam famili Cucurbitaceae berawal dari Afrika Utara mempunyai rasa yang unik dan bermanfaat untuk kesehatan tubuh seperti menghindari penyakit sariawan. Komoditas melon mempunyai prospek yang menguntungkan apabila dibudidayakan secara intensif. Salah satunya dengan pemberian kompos dan KNO3. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui adanya pengaruh dosis kompos dan KNO3 terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman melon serta ada tidaknya interaksi diantara keduanya. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Komplek Perumahan Sektor Timur dan Laboratorium Fisiologi Tumbuhan, Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Syiah Kuala, pada November 2020-Februari 2021. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok pola Faktorial 3x4 yang diulang sebanyak 3 kali. Faktor pertama adalah dosis kompos terdiri dari 3 taraf  yaitu 10, 20, dan 30 ton ha-1 dan faktor kedua dosis KNO3 terdiri dari 4 taraf yaitu 0, 100, 200, dan 300 kg ha-1. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kompos tidak berpengaruh nyata pada semua parameter yang diamati. Dosis KNO3 berpengaruh sangat nyata pada umur berbunga, umur berbunga yang lebih cepat dijumpai pada KNO3 200 kg ha-1 dengan umur berbunga 21 hari. Adanya interaksi yang nyata antara dosis kompos dengan KNO3 terhadap bobot buah per buah, bobot buah per tanaman, serta potensi hasil. Hasil yang baik dijumpai pada kombinasi dosis kompos 10 ton ha-1dengan KNO3 200 kg ha-1 terhadap bobot buah per buah, bobot buah per tanaman, serta potensi hasil.Effect of Compost Dose and KNO3 on Melon (Cucumis melo L.) Melon is a type of horticultural plant belonging to the Cucurbitaceae family originating from North Africa which has a unique taste and is beneficial for body health such as avoiding canker sores. Melon commodity has a profitable prospect if it is cultivated intensively. One of them is by giving compost and KNO3. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the dose of compost and KNO3 on the growth and yield of melon plants and whether there was an interaction between the two .The research was carried out at the Eastern Sector Housing Complex and Fistum Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, Syiah Kuala University, in November 2020-February 2021. This study used a 3x4 factorial randomized block design which was repeated 3 times. The factors studied were compost dose with 3 levels (10, 20, and 30 ton ha-1) and KNO3 dose consisted of 4 levels (control, 100, 200, and 300 kg ha-1). The results showed that compost had no significant effect on all observed parameters. The dose of KNO3 had a very significant effect on the flowering age, the faster flowering age was found in KNO3 200 kg ha-1. There was a significant interaction between compost dose and KNO3 on fruit weight per fruit, fruit weight per plant, and yield potential. Good results were found in the combination dose of 10 tons of compost ha-1 with KNO3 of 200 kg ha-1 on fruit weight per fruit, fruit weight per plant, and yield potential.
