Abstract

Final Project Writing is the obligation of every student to be able to complete his studies. In the process of preparing the Final Project, one of the important things that need to be learned by students is how to arrange references properly. Currently, there are many applications that can help in the reference management process, one of these applications is Mendeley. The purpose of this community service activity is to provide students with an understanding of how to use the Mendeley application so that there is an increase in the quality of scientific work, especially the Final Project that students will work on. The methods used in this Mendeley training include lectures, practice, discussions and online questions and answers through the Google Meet application. Participants in this Mendeley training were students of the Civil Engineering Study Program, University of Banten Jaya with 10 participants. The results of the training activities showed an increase in students' knowledge and understanding in using the Mendeley application. All students who take part in the training can install Mendeley on their respective laptops, enter documents that are used as reference sources into the Mendeley application, do citations and create a bibliography using the menu found on Mendeley.

Abstract

STEM has long been developed to produce a generation who is ready to face the challenges of the future era. STEM combines four elements (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) in a learning process to make it more meaningful. STEM has been widely applied in developed countries, but in Indonesia, it has received less attention and has not been implemented in the education curriculum. The purpose of this study is to describe teachers' perceptions about the application of STEM, whether it is suitable to be applied in each school where the teacher works, what facilities are needed, and whether it is suitable to be applied during the pandemic Covid-19. This research method used a qualitative descriptive method by distributing open questionnaires to mathematics teachers from various regions. The results showed that most teachers agreed to use STEM in learning mathematics, including its application during the pandemic Covid-19. Besides, many things must be prepared before it can be applied, including the readiness and understanding of teachers regarding STEM, the availability of STEM teaching materials, and the availability of supporting facilities for each student and their ability to use them.

Abstract

Abstract The purpose of this study is to present an analysis of whether Ways of Thinking (WoT) and Ways of Understanding (WoU) are facilitated in mathematics textbooks for Class VII Middle School Numbers. This type of research is a qualitative descriptive study in which researchers describe the facts and actual conditions about Ways of Thinking (WoT) and Ways of Understanding (WoU) in the textbook. The results of this study showed that the books analyzed had facilitated Ways of Thinking (WoT) and Ways of Understanding (WoU). Keywords: Ways of Thinking (WoT), Ways of Understanding (WoU), Mathematics Textbooks Abstrak Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menyajikan analisis apakah Ways of Thinking (WoT) dan Ways of Understanding (WoU) difasilitasi pada buku teks pelajaran matematika SMP Kelas VII Materi Bilangan. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dimana peneliti menggambarkan fakta dan keadaan sebenarnya tentang Ways of Thinking (WoT) dan Ways of Understanding (WoU) pada buku teks tersebut. Hasil penelitian ini diperoleh hasil bahwa buku yang dianalisis sudah memfasilitasi Ways of Thinking (WoT) dan Ways of Understanding (WoU).

Abstract

Jalan merupakan prasarana transportasi yang sangat penting bagi masyarakat. Kendaraan berlebih adalah suatu kondisi beban ganda kendaraan melebihi beban standar yang digunakan pada asumsi desain perkerasan jalan atau jumlah lintasan operasional. Umur rencana jalan adalah jumlah beban kendaraan lalu lintas Ekivalen Single Axle Load (ESAL). Jalan Raya Bojonegara merupakan jalan beton (Rigid Pavement), kondisi jalan Raya Bojonegara sering terjadi kerusakan jalan disebabkan oleh kelebihan beban kendaraan, dengan demikian tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui angka beban ESAL kendaraan di Jalan Raya Bojonegara, untuk mengetahui persentase penurunan umur perkerasan jalan serta untuk meninjau jenis kerusakan jalan akibat besarnya kendaraaan berlebih. Metode penelitian yang digunakan menggunakan metode AASHTO 1993. Berdasarkan hasil survei di Jalan Raya Bojonegara pada tahun 2022 dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif pengambilan data primer dan sekunder didapat sebesar 9.732 kendaraan dan berdasarkan hasil survei kerusakan jalan terdapat jenis kerusakan seperti retak pumping,retak sudut, retak melintang, retak berlubang dan retak remek. Berdasarkan hasil analisa perhitungan menggunakan metode AASHTO 1993 dengan rumus kumulatif ESAL dan rumus reaming life, persentase penurunan umur perkerasan jalan terdapat dari hasil perhitungan beban ESAL pada tahun awal pembangunan di tahun 2016 sampai akhir umur rencana pada tahun 2036 mendapatkan persentase penurunan sebesar 95,91 % dan mengalami penurunan masa pelayanan di tahun ke 9 dari awal tahun pembuatan jalan.
