Abstract

Childfree is different from childless; Parents who decide to be childfree are those whochoose not to have children even though they have good economic and biologicaladequacy. While childless usually refers to those who want to become parents butcannot because of certain biological reasons. Being a parent requires careful preparation. The childfree phenomenon is developing in Indonesia. This phenomenon began to bediscussed in the midst of the general public and caused many pros and cons in societyregarding the freedom to have children. Based on data released by the World Bank, thetrend of birth rate in Indonesia continues to decline, even in 2019 the crude birth rateper 1,000 population issued by the BPS where there is a decrease in the populationgrowth rate. The benefits of the decision without children can be optimal only if adoptedby a small number of people. This is because each profit tends to decrease as thenumber of people using the same strategy increases. Keywords: Childfree, marriage, reason of childfree

Abstract

Jernang is one of the wild trees that are from the family of rattan with the genus of Daemonorops. The objective of this research is to know the availability, user, harvest, and conservation of the Jernang as well as the barrier faced by the jernang hunters, jernang harvest, and jernang conservation. This study is the done using descriptive research methodology. Respondents were chosen by purposive sampling. They were chosen with special considerations such as they must be the jernang hunters or the people who well understand the jernang. The data were collected through interview and participant observation and then analyzed descriptively. The research findings showed that the respondents still hunted the jernang in the forest and they sold to the buyers in their villages. Jernang fruits were processed by extracting them to get their substances. The conservation efforts have many threats due to the expansion of the palm plantation. The lack of people knowledge of good jernang for the seed is also one of the barriers of conservation.

Abstract

One factor that is often happened is the learning objectives are difficult to achieve, because students often make mistakes in understanding the concepts and performing calculations. One way that teachers can do to minimize these errors is to classify between students who have been able to master the material and students who have not been able to master the material. Discriminant analysis is one way to facilitate the grouping of students according to their ability to master the material, by using the method of Fisher. The purpose of this study was determining how the percentage of students who have mastered the material prism and pyramid, getting the discriminant function of the prism and pyramid mastery of the material, and determining the factors that cause students difficult to understand the material prism and pyramid. The study population was the entire eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Banda Aceh while the sample were students of class VIII-8 to 30 students. Based on the research that has been done using the fisher discriminant analysis method, 33.3% of students have mastered the material geometry and 66.6% of students have not mastered the material prism and pyramid. It means that from 30 students only 10 students were able to master the material well-prism and pyramid. End function that is formed is Y1 = 5,487X1 + 3,373X2 - 4,822X3 + 5,936X4 + 1,544X5 - 2,108X6 and Y2 = 5,486X1 + 3,373X2 - 4,823X3 + 5,937X4 + 1,544X5 - 2,107X6.

Abstract

Logical mathematical intelligence and learning independence are two important aspects that can be crucial for students' learning success. This study aims to: (1) determine the relationship between logical mathematical intelligence and students' mathematics learning outcomes; (2) determine the relationship between learning independence and students' mathematics learning outcomes; (3) determine the relationship between logical mathematical intelligence and learning independence together with students' mathematics learning outcomes. This research uses a quantitative approach with a correlational research type. The population of this study were all X1 classes in SMA Negeri 4 Banda Aceh. The sample in this study were students of class XI-EB2, which were selected using simple random sampling technique. Data collection was conducted using questionnaires and tests. The data analysis technique uses simple correlation analysis, multiple correlation, t-test and F-test after the test conditions are met. The results showed that: (1) logical mathematical intelligence with students' mathematics learning outcomes has a positive and significant relationship of 30.04%; (2) learning independence with students' mathematics learning outcomes has a positive and significant relationship of 29.99%; and (3) logical mathematical intelligence and learning independence together have a positive and significant relationship with students' mathematics learning outcomes of 26.5%.
