Abstract

Secara umum permasalahan yang dialami oleh 3 lokasi kegiatan (Kelurahan Tappanjeng, Letta, dan Lamalaka) khususnya dalam bidang infrastruktur permukiman, yakni, masih terdapat kinerja infrastruktur permukiman yang bernilai rendah, masih kurangnya kesadaran masyarakat untuk bersama-sama memperbaiki dan memelihara infrastruktur permukiman yang ada, dan tidak tersedianya informasi dan media advokasi yang memadai dalam rangka turut berpartisipasi dalam memperbaiki, dan memelihara infrastruktur permukiman yang ada. Eksplorasi potensi desa/kelurahan dan evaluasi kinerja infrastruktur merupakan upaya-upaya yang dilakukan dalam meminimalisir pemukiman kumuh pada 3 kelurahan tersebut. Oleh karena itu untuk mewujudkan hal tersebut program kerja utama yang dilakukan antara lain Pembuatan Lorong Percontohan, Pelatihan Pengelolaan Website, Pendataan Data Potensi dan MBR, Penyelesaian RPLP, Penyelesaian DED, dan lain-lain. Metode pengabdian masyarakat yang dilakukan adalah dengan melakukan sosialisasi dan pendampingan langsung kepada masyarakat berupa pelatihan pembuatan RPLP, DED, dan website yang ditindaklanjuti dengan pendampingan dalam proses penyelesaainnya. Dampak dari program-program tersebut signifikan bagi pengetahuan masyarakat dalam perencanaan dan pengelolaan infrastruktur serta peningkatan kapasitas dalam bidang infrastruktur.Kata Kunci: infrastruktur; website; permukiman

Abstract

The research location is on the upstream slope of the Jeneberang River in Malino, Gowa Regency, South Sulawesi. This study aims to determine the types of rocks the slopes and to study the relationship between mineralogy characteristics and rock mechanical properties. Mineralogical characteristics analysis used petrographic analysis, XRD and XRF, while for the analysis of rock mechanical properties using uniaxial compressive strength analysis in this study used three types of samples taken on the same slope with the top, middle and bottom sampling points. The results of this study indicate that the rock types found on the slopes are andesite igneous rock types with the same main mineral types, the mineral is albit, analcime, quartz and leucite, while the secondary minerals found in each sample are different, on the slopes of sample A the secondary mineral is spodumene, sample B secondary mineral is garnet and sample C is palygorskite. The value of the results of testing the mechanical properties of each sample is also different, the correlation of the three uniaxial compressive strength test values to the mineral composition of rock samples shows that the correlation of quartz minerals to the compressive strength value and young's modulus has a fairly high correlation value of 0,934 and 0,9798, the mineral correlation value to the poisson ratio indicates that the mineral leucite has high correlation value compared to other minerals.

Abstract

PT Kasongan Bumi Kencana melaksanakan proses penambangan emas pada area operasional Pit X. Kegiatan terpusat pada percepatan pengupasan waste material yang tersusun atas tufa breksi dengan metode peledakan. Peledakan di area waste material memiliki nilai powder factor sebesar 0,25 kg/ton  dan melebihi powder factor rencana sebesar 0,23 kg/ton. Metode  top air deck blasting  dapat menurunkan nilai powder factor peledakan tanpa memberikan dampak negatif terhadap fragmentasi material dan operasional penambangan. Penerapan top air deck blasting  di area waste material, Pit X, perlu meninjau kualitas massa batuan, fragmentasi hasil peledakan, dan dampak operasional penambangan. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis parameter yang mempengaruhi ukuran fragmentasi hasil peledakan metode top air deck blasting, menganalisis dampak penerapan metode top air deck blasting  terhadap operasional penambangan, dan memformulasikan rekomendasi geometri metode top air deck blasting  dengan mempertimbangkan karakteristik massa batuan penyusun waste material, Pit X. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan waste material tersusun atas massa batuan dengan dengan nilai RMR sebesar 71,87 atau termasuk kategori good rock. Terdapat perbedaan parameter yang mempengaruhi ukuran fragmentasi hasil peledakan metode conventional blasting dan metode top air deck blasting . Metode top air deck blasting  memiliki sebaran fragmentasi hasil peledakan lebih baik dibandingkan peledakan menggunakan metode conventional blasting pada sebaran fragmentasi F50, F80, dan top size material. Rekomendasi geometri top air deck blasting  pada percepatan pengupasan waste material memiliki air deck length dengan rentang 0,9 -1,1 meter atau air deck factor dengan rentang 16%-17% dan menurunkan powder factor peledakan sebanding dengan fungsi PF = 0,2489-0,3939(ADF).

Abstract

Characterization of dolomite samples from Bone Bolango, Gorontalo Province have been performed with the objective to find out their mineralogical and chemical compositions. Observation and mineral analyses were carried out by means of microscopy and X-ray diffraction methods respectively; whereas chemical composition was determined by using X-ray fluorescence spectrometer. Result of XRD analysis shows that samples contain dolomite [CaMg(CO3)2], calcite [CaCO3] and [SiO2]. The proportion of dolomite is about 60.4% in average and its presence is as replacement of calcite in bioclast components and matrices in the rock. Dolomite crystals are characterized by mosaic texture with euhedral – subhedral in shapes. Spacially, dolomite content increase from west to the east of study area. The XRF analysis reveals that dolomite samples contain MgO ranging between 8.07 and 20.78% while CaO ranges between 30.04 and 56.13%. The SiO2 concentration ranges from 3.50 – 7.55%; whereas Al2O3 ranges from 1.07 – 1.84%. The average MgO content of dolomite about 12.89% can be categorized as calcium dolomite. Dolomite within the study area can be used directly in agriculture sector, but it less suitable as raw materials in glass, ceramic and refractory industries because the average content of MgO is less than 17%. However, it can be increased of their MgO with the application of selective mining or beneficiation process.

Abstract

Bentonite is one of industrial mineral deposit that has many applications in industries. In order to optimize its utilization, it is needed an initial assessment about the quality in particularly mineralogical and chemical composition. The objective of this study was to analyze mineralogical and chemical properties of bentonite samples from Bone Bolango Area, Gorontalo Province. Mineralogical analysis was performed by means of microscopic and X-ray diffraction (XRD) methods while chemical composition was determined by X-ray fluorescence (XRF) spectrometry. Results of analysis show that bentonite samples were composed of smectite mineral of montmorillonite type with the impurities constitute of plagioclase, quartz, calcite and maghemite. Chemical composition of Bone Bolango bentonite is dominated by SiO2 and Al2O3with the ratio in the range between 1.38 and 1.68. This bentonite was formed by weathering process of volcanic rocks mainly derive from plagioclase alteration. Based on mineral and chemical compositions, Bone Bolango bentonite is categorized as Ca-bentonite with relatively non-swelling property. However it is potentially used as raw materials in ceramic making and as absorbent.

Abstract

PT Gunung Marmer Raya (PT GMR), a room and pillar underground marble mining is located about 73 km to the north from Makassar, in Desa Tabo-Tabo, Kecamatan Bungoro, Kabupaten Pangkep. In the mining location, discontinuities are found as joint structure across the production area. The purpose of this service is to make pillar redesign that can improve the stability of underground mine. These activities start with field observation, determining the rock characteristic through sample testing in the laboratory, classifying the rock mass using Q-system method, up to redesigning a form of implementation to increase the stability of the marble underground mine. According to calculation of rock mass classification using Q-System, the recommended buffering is systematic bolting and fiber reinforced sprayed concrete as thick as 5-6 cm with spacing between bolts of 2.2 meters, or systematic bolting without concrete layering with spacing between-bolt 1.8 meter. Joint monitoring, especially on pillars, need to be done routinely so joint movement could be anticipated for progressive movement. The existing dimensions of pillar 5 m x 5 m in length and width is not recommended due to the safety factor is under 1,0 (unstable condition). Based on observation and analytic calculation, for each pillar height of up to 11 meters the pillar is recommended to redesign with length and width 5 m x 9 m for the chain pillar (safety factor around 1.35-1.49); and 5 m x 12 m for barrier pillars (safety factor around 1.58-1.74).
