Abstract

ABSTRACTOne of the factors causing dental caries is the lack of children's knowledge resulting in a lack of awareness of children in maintaining dental hygiene. To increase children's knowledge can be done by promoting dental health through child oral health education and mouth. The use of media is still less effective in health education that has been running, therefore the need for innovation and development is to use media innovation “Heni’s Dental Flannel Book”The study aimed to develop of “Heni’s Dental Flannel Book” media as a health education book and the effectiveness “Heni’s Dental Flannel Book” for increasing the dental health care of Early Childhood Education Programs.Research and Development (R D), there are ten stages of research namely: information gathering, design models, validation expert, revision, product trial (Pre experiment with one group pre-test post-test, a sample of 15 children), revision, application trial (Quasi-experimental with pre-test and post-test nonequivalent control group design, a sample of 20 children in the intervention group and 20 children in the control group, final product revision, production of product. Data were tested using ANOVA, Shapiro Wilk, Wilcoxon test, Mann-Whitney test. The results showed “Heni’s Dental Flannel Book”is effective as an effort to increase dental and oral health care for Early Childhood Education Programs as indicated by a p-value0.001. Children's knowledge is indicated by a p-value0,000, a child's attitude is indicated by a p-value 0,000. There is a difference in the effectiveness of smart dental books and flipchart in increased dental and oral health care for children with a p-value0,000.The conclusion is “Heni’s Dental Flannel Book” effectively improve children's knowledge and attitudes. Keywords : children in Early Childhood Education Programs , “Heni’s Dental Flannel Book”, dental health care.

Abstract

Background: Dental and oral health problems in primary school students are in the high category, this is because efforts to improve dental health behavior of school children are still not optimal. One effective prevention of these problems through the act of brushing your teeth diligently, thoroughly and regularly. Proper dental health education is given to primary school students in the form of media that is packaged by learning while playing. Media promotion explosion teeth box is expected to change the behavior of brushing your child's teeth. Objective: To produce a suitable and effective explosion teeth box promotion media model towards changing tooth brushing behavior among  primary school students. Methods: Research and Development (RD) and product/model trials (quasy experimental control group pretest and posttest design studies). The subjects of class III primary school students were divided into 2 groups: explosion teeth box as an intervention group and flashcard media as a control group and the duration of treatment for 10 days. The results of the model design were validated by experts. Data were tested using the interclass correlation coefficient test, shapiro-wilk, friedman, and post-hoc wilcoxon. Results: The average validation of explosion teeth box experts was 86.66 (very feasible) as a medium for the promotion of dental health in primary school students shown by the p-value (0.001). This model was effective in increasing the knowledge of brushing teeth (p=0.001) and decreasing the index debris score (p=0.001) compared to the control group. Conclusion: The application of explosion teeth box which was carried out for 10 days effectively improved the knowledge of brushing teeth in primary school students compared to the control group. Keywords: Primary school students, explosion teeth box, changing tooth brushing

Abstract

Early childhood suffer from very high dental and oral health problems. This problem is caused by poor knowledge and behavior of tooth brushing. An effort toincrease the knowledge and behavior of tooth brushing requires innovative media as per the age and parental assistance. This researce aims to develop innovative dental health education media to increase knowledge and behavior of preschool children. We undertook this study using Research and Development method with the stages of information collection, product build, validation by experts and finished product. The number of samples was 30 for each intervention and control group with a random sampling technique. Data were tested using ISO 9126, chi-square, Shapiro Wilk, Friedman and Man Whitney. The results of this study indicate that Smart Dental Alarm is more effective in increasing the knowledge and behavior of the tooth brushing behavior in preschool children than using power point regarding the pre-test, post-test 1 and 2 which obtain p-Value in 0.000. Smart Dental Alarm is more effective than power point because it is equipped with various features or media types that are intended to increase knowledge and behavior while power point only contains material with pictures.

Abstract

The results of Riskesdas 2018, showed 93% of children aged 5-6 years had dental caries with an average DMF-T of 8.3; as many as 57.6% experienced dental and oral health problems, and only 10.2% received services from medical personnel. The number of dental health problems in Central Java is below the national threshold of 57.6%. The proportion of dental health problems in Indonesia is still far from the expectation of achieving the long-term target of the Ministry of Health in 2030. Indonesia is caries-free. The aims of this study was to produce a "GERAHAM Model" to improve the behavior of mothers in brushing their teeth Research and Development (RD) methods, there are two stages of research, model development and testing the effect of the model using the quasi experiment method with one group pretest and posttest design. The GERAHAM model is a model that involves the mother's role in training children's habits to maintain oral hygiene, especially brushing teeth at home. The data were tested using the Wilcoxon test. The average results of knowledge before and after treatment were 10.20 and 12.70, while attitudes were 18.34 and 29.32, actions were 3.00 and 18.34. The Wilcoxon test showed that the molar model could increase the mother's knowledge, attitudes and actions (P=0.000). Conclusion: GERAHAM teeth model is relevant as a model of dental health education to shape maternal behavior in brushing teeth.

Abstract

Breast milk production that is less or not smooth is a problem that is often experienced by postpartum mothers. That is due to lack of nutritional intake and lack of therapy to facilitate milk production. Giving soybeans, oxytocin massage and back massage are ways to increase breast milk production. The search for articles in this systematic literature review uses 6 databases with a time start from 2015-2020. The articles using Indonesian and English. The inclusion criteria were postpartum mothers, the interventions given were using soybean, oxytocin massage, and back massage. The measurement results are in the form of breast milk production. The designs used in the article search are True Experiment and Quasy Experiment. The preparation of this systematic literature review uses the PRISMA guideline. Analysis of data from a systematic literature review, 17 studies were eligible for identification, 6 studies were true experiments and 11 studies were quasy experiments. The intervention soybean containing isoflavone showed statistically significant results on breastmilk production with p value < 0.05. The intervention oxytocin massage showed significant results on breastmilk production with p value <0.05. Intervention back massage showed significant results on breastmilk production with p value <0.05. intervention OKPU massage showed significant results on breastmilk production with p value <0.05. Interventions with soy, oxytocin massage, back massage and OKPU massage have a positive effect on breastmilk production. Oxytocin massage and OKPU massage proved more effective based on significance value and effect size.

Abstract

This research was Quasy Experiment with a pre-test-post-test with control group design. Sample this research was 30 pregnant women, that were divided into 2 groups : the intervention group who were given beet with Fe supplementation (n = 15) and the control group was given Fe tablets (n = 15). Supplementation of beetroot to a pregnant women with anemia who were recieived Fe supplementation could increase hemoglobin levels (p = 0,000), hematocrit levels (p = 0,000), number of erythrocytes (p = 0.001), so there were significant differences in mean delta hemoglobin levels, hematocrit, and erythrocyte counts. There were differences in hemoglobin and erythrocyte levels in the intervention and control groups before and after treatment. Supplementation of 8 gram beetroot powder for 14 days to pregnant mother with anemia who were receive Fe tablets could increase hemoglobin and hematocrit levels, and number of erythrocytes
