Abstract

Abstract: Public street lighting (PSL) is an element or component that must be present in every road, functioning as street lighting at night for the safety of motorists. Most of public street lighting is lit at night through morning continuously without a system of monitoring and control, which is consuming electricity. Therefore in this study a prototype system was designed to monitor and control public street lighting based on IoT and Android. It use Dimmer as a microcontroller, Dimmer as a voltage regulation, and LDR sensor for taking light intensity. Conventionally, public street lighting only turns on at night and turn off during the day. Research on monitoring and controlling street lighting in addition to being made that can be ON and OFF lights, it also can reduced electric voltage to dim the light intensity. Keywords: Internet of Things, Public Street Lighting (LPJU) Relay, Dimmer, SensorLDR.

Abstract

Air temperature and humidity as well as water temperature are very important environment variables in planting DFT hydroponic lettuce plants in a greenhouse. Controlling and monitoring the temperature and humidity generally still done manually by farmers. This problem can be solved by building an air conditioning system that implements the concept of the Internet of Things, which plays a role in automation control of actuators, and MQTT protocols as its data communication medium. Based on the test results, the system has been able to perform measurement and conditioning of air temperature and humidity, as well as water temperature in the greenhouse automatically. Comparison of observation and test result data with sunny weather conditions, showing that the average and maximum value of air and water temperature on test, lower compared to observation data. While the average and minimum value of humidity in the test are higher than the observation data.

Abstract

Water is one of the mineral resources which is a source of basic human needs and has many uses including drinking, bathing, washing and so on. In urban areas, clean water services are generally provided by the government through the PDAM (Regional Water Company). In the use of water, sometimes the user is not able to control the use of water which causes an enlarged water bill as in one of the houses in Pancor, East Lombok Regency. In this area, monitoring is still carried out conventionally by checking the water meter used. Monitoring systems are now widely used as an alternative way to monitor one of them in monitoring water use. In this study, a system (Smart Meter System) that can be used to control and monitor water usage in the household for more efficient water use is designed. By using WeMos as a microcontroller, Water Flow Sensor and MQTT (Message Queuing Telemetry Transport) protocol as data communication, remote control and monitoring of water use in households can be done in real-time.

Abstract

Vaname shrimp is a type of aquaculture that has a high economic value and has relatively fast growth. Good water quality is key in the cultivation of vaname shrimp on ponds. However, monitoring of pond water conditions is still done manually and not done intensively. Internet of Things (IoT) and Early Warning System (EWS) as the latest technology can be a solution in periodic pond monitoring activities and give early warning to farm owners. Double Exponential Smoothing Holt is one method for forecasting in time series. In this study, the system predicts the potential for endangering the pond conditions, when there are indications of danger, it will inform the user via Telegram chat. The accuracy test value of the forecasting method used for water temperature is the MSE value of 0.01954 and MAPE of 9.0859%. Whereas for the water pH, the MSE value is 0.000155 and MAPE of 0.828%.
