Abstract

Motivation and inspiration are two words that cannot be separated from student success. By this motivation, students will try to learn hard to achieve the achievement while students who are inspired by something they heard, seen, or felt, will usually be motivated to do creative things.  This is very important for students as agent of change in the world of education. The motivation and inspiration for students can be obtained through the morning briefing activities; the information sharing activities from lecturers to students. This study is what the author did at Politeknik Enjinering Indorama as one of campuses that carried out the morning briefing. The results showed that the morning briefing had an influence on student learning motivation, as evidenced by the chi-square test found no value because the motivation variable showed the same value, not different at all. All respondents in assessing the motivation questionnaire showed the value of AGREE all. The results of statistical analysis show that the morning briefing does not inspire students. This is shown by Asymp. Sig. (2-sided > 0.05, it can be concluded that the morning briefing variable is not related to inspiration. Morning briefings conducted at the Electrical Engineering has an influence on learning motivation, students agree with the morning briefing because it can motivate their learning, but not for the inspiration variable. Morning briefing cannot inspire students of Electrical Engineering students.morning briefing

Abstract

Abstract

In several non-English educational institutions in Indonesia, the problem of students who are not fluent in speaking English is still quite a lot. The various obstacles faced by each student are very diverse, and it will not be far from limited vocabulary mastery, self-confidence, and also weak self-motivation for the spirit of learning. Various methods are used to improve the ability to speak English. Some are compatible with one method, but not the other, and vice versa. This study aims to determine whether the method that STIE WIkara students admit is more effective for practicing speaking English, is the Show and Tell method or Presentation with power point. The results of the study show that STIE Wikara students admit that an effective method for practicing speaking English is a method that makes it easier for them to speak without thinking to translate into English.

Abstract

critical thinking skills. The type of research is meta-analysis research. The data sources in this meta-analysis research are 11 national and international journals that have been published from 2018-2023. The method of selecting data sources is the PRISMA method. The process of searching for data sources through Google Scholar, Eric and Proquest. The technique of collecting data sources is direct observation and documentation through the journal database. Data analysis is quantitative analysis by calculating the effect size value, standard error and average value (mean) with the help of the JSAP application. The results of this study indicate that the average effect size value is = 0.812 with high criteria. This finding explains that the e-learning-based mind mapping model has a significant effect on students' critical thinking skills. The e-learning-based mind mapping model fosters critical thinking skills so that it supports students' digital literacy in learning
