Abstract

This study aims to create a Blynk-based application as a controller for SmartRoom to reduce unnecessary electricity usage. As for the background of this writing because today almost all activities that humans do everyday are related to electricity usage. But there are also many people who use electricity powerfully. This excessive use of electricity can cause energy waste and increase electricity costs. With increasing electricity usage, savings can be made by turning off lights or electrical appliances that are not used through the help of the Internet of Things through Blynk-based applications.The making of this application is made using the interaction between the microcontoler WeMos D1 R2 which is connected with sensors and modules to detect data to be processed for SmartRoom. For applications using Blynk which is connected to the system and used to make it easier for users to control devices that are connected remotely.The results showed that in a trial period of 1 week between normal conditions and the SmartRoom system resulted in a power savings of 28% and could be realized with a reliability level of 100%.

Abstract

The use of a smart home is one of the home control systems that provides comfort for homeowners to control electronic equipment using the internet. This concept is based on expanding the use and benefits of the internet of things by embedding a controller and sensor that can connect and share data continuously. Therefore, there is a smart home prototype that can control lights and electrical lines with easy access to control. This design, the device used is an Arduino Uno-based controller that is connected to a Wemos D1 Mini, Ac light dimmer, PZEM-004T sensor, PCB, and LCD. The method used is to log in to the android application and the system will respond to commands from the application and turn it into an aski, namely dimming and turning on the lights, or turning on and off electronic equipment. The final result of this journal is a tool that has been designed and an application that is used to make it easier for users to control electronic devices and check the electrical power used.

Abstract

Many times, the garbage bins at public places are overloaded even exceeding capacity or overflow which creates unhygienic conditions for people as well as ugliness to that place and leaving bad smell. The full garbage bins are left to pile up and wait until they are taken back by the janitor. To avoid that kind of situation, a smart trash is made for assisting the janitor to monitoring the level content of the garbage bins. Navghane [5] has created a smart trash that can monitoring level of garbage by the web browser. This thesis will create a smart trash system with push notification by a smartphone application that will be easier for janitors pick up the garbage bin just in time.The garbage bin is installed with Arduino WeMos D1 R1 system and proximity sensor E18-D80NK which will show the status of the garbage at the current level. Data obtained from the sensor will be sent with a microcontroller that connected with Wi-Fi to the database. That will be data exchange in real-time between an application on the user’s smartphone with the smart trash device.The result of this thesis is the device can detect and show the garbage level in real-time with percentage and 2D images on the smartphone application, and provide a push notification that appears when the garbage level has full or reached the upper limit. Proximity sensor E18-D80NK is prone to detect dry trash, which is transparent and thin, but can detect dry trash which are solid and not transparent.

Abstract

Robot manipulator is a technology that is widely used in all life applications. Because of the widespread use of robot manipulators, it is given robotics learning for students interested in robotics in Electrical Engineering courses. The price of the robot is relatively expensive and the existence of mathematical calculations become obstacles.This thesis is made to answer the above problem. This application is made with Unity engine with C # programming language. This application simulates the movement of robots either forward or inverse kinematic with the limits of DOF 2 and 3. A similar application that is a comparison is RoboAnalyzer.Based on the test results, the program 'FIK' has described the forward and inverse kinematik, mathematical formula calculation, simulator movement, and the resulting trace. For kinematic inverse results only show one result, whereas in the comparison program display the possibility of 2-4 answers.

Abstract

As we know technology is increasing. Many areas of life can be assisted and facilitated by the existence of the technology. Moreover, the use of the internet is increasing rapidly. However, the internet can also be used to help the small things in life. Ease of access of technology also triggered an ever increasing use of the internet. The use of smartphones is also growing in the    communities. Therefore, the use of smartphones and the internet to facilitate daily life is absolutely right. One of the problems that needs tp be solved is related to Aquarium. There are problems in managingf the Aquarium. The owners have complained that hard to maintance the aquarium. Especially when they leave the Aquarium for a long period of time. Certainly the Aquarium should still be treated each day. The most routine maintenance carried out covering the feeding and temperature settings. In solving the Aquarium, the author uses the arduino. The device is a microcontroller that can aid in the control of another device. The arduino device connected to the internet via wifi as intermediary. Furthermore, the arduino will be connected to the server. The connection to the server can connect the arduino with the database. The specified database can be modified using the android device, users can perform device settings the arduino using a smartphone. The result of this research is a system based on Arduino, Android technology and MySQL server. This allows the system to connect to each other through the internet network. The system consists of 3 main sections. The first part is a server as an intermediary between two other parts. The second part is an arduino as a physical device. The last part is the application of phonegap at android.

Abstract

Society in general uses plants as decoration for all types of places such as hotels, restaurants, to residential homes. But each plant needs its own care so that plants can last long. One of the plants commonly used as decoration is the rose plant. Sometimes people are overwhelmed in caring for roses such as forgetting to water plants, watering for rose plants is lacking or excessive. Many studies have used Arduino to monitor rose plants but cannot be controlled mobile.The use of smartphones is now also increasing in the community, it will greatly facilitate the user if monitoring of plants can be done on smartphones. The plant watering system uses Arduino which is connected to the internet and the Blynk server. By using the Blynk server, you can connect Arduino with a smartphone, making it easier for users to control and monitor rose plants such as watering and fertilizing as well as seeing the condition of roses from a distance and can help the growth of roses. The result of this study are the system can treat and monitor roses according to parameter, which is soil moisture 70% - 80%, fertilizing, monitoring temperature 18 ºC - 26ºC and soil pH 5.5 - 7.0.
