Abstract

Currently, when someone went to barber, they usually can’t decide which hair models that they want. When the hairstyle that the hairstylist choose didn’t match, it can make people have bad appearances. Because good hairstyle its one of the important part to make good appearances.To decide hairstyle that looks good on someone, by the opinion of [7] face shape is the most important thing for choosing hairstyle that looks good on someone, if the hairstyle didn’t match with their face shape, they will have a bad appearances. So by that factor the writer want to develop an android application for choosing a man’s hairstyle based on his face shape.The accuracy of this application training for determine a man’s face shape development is 90.952% and the result from the survey to 5 hairstylist, they say that this application is really help people choose what kind of hairstyle that suit them.

Abstract

Teknologi containerization sebagai implementasi virtualisasi di level OS meraih popularitas di beberapa tahun terakhir untuk menggantikan beberapa peranan virtual machine. Dalam implementasinya, seringkali dibutuhkan sejumlah container untuk menjalankan sebuah peran, sehingga diperlukan sistem orkestrasi untuk proses scheduling dan management container. Namun container scheduler yang tersedia pada sistem orkestrasi seperti Kubernetes umumnya hanya berfokus pada ketersediaan system resource dan general threshold. Padahal optimasi dalam hal efisiensi cluster sambil mempertahankan performa cluster tentulah penting untuk diimplementasikan sehingga dapat meminimalkan biaya operasional.Optimasi pada container scheduler dilakukan secara multi-objektif dengan fokus pada efisiensi cluster dan throughput aplikasi yang di-schedule. Optimasi dilakukan dengan memanipulasi jumlah replika container yang menyala dan alokasinya di dalam cluster berdasarkan jumlah request yang diterima aplikasi. Proses optimasi dilakukan dengan menggunakan algoritma Epsilon-Dominance Non-Dominated Sorting Genetic Algorithm II (Ɛ-NSGA-II).Hasil pengujian dalam cluster berisi 5 node menunjukkan bahwa proses optimasi scheduling dapat menghasilkan keputusan alokasi container yang optimal dan sesuai target yang ditentukan user. Proses algoritma Ɛ-NSGA-II untuk menghasilkan alokasi tersebut juga dapat selesai dalam rentang waktu yang pendek.

Abstract

Nowadays, application of social media is being favored by young adult and not only that they also interested in culinary field and finding interesting places to eat with their friends and their families. Furthermore young adult is interested to post photo they get from that place for examples the interrior, the ambience, the food, the service, and the price.But a few application that have all that features in one app. One of the app is GoFoodies app. GoFoodies is being made based on Android, because so many people who uses Android. GoFoodies can help user to finding food places that matches with their preference such as indonesian, western, chinese, and japanese food. As well they can find places that close to their area such as north of Surabaya, east, south, and west.The result of the test of the application goes well. The result shows that the application running well in 4.4 (Kitkat) or higher Operating system and can't run in 4.3 (Jelly Bean) or lower operating system. This application execute search feature for looking places that matches with their preference and help user find the information handy and convenience.

Abstract

North Toraja Regency is one of the regencies in Indonesia which is actively developing itself as a tourist destination. North Toraja’s tourism has its own uniqueness. It offers different types of tourist attractions compared to those of other regencies. However, due to the lack of tourism information, both local and foreign tourists have not considered North Toraja as an attractive tourist destination. Based on the problem described, there is a need to make a catalogue website that aims to give clear and accurate information regarding North Toraja’s various tourist spots.Important information such as North Toraja’s rich history, tourist spots, public facilities, arts and crafts, and annual traditional activities or events are all provided in this catalogue website. Thus, tourists can easily obtain complete information about North Toraja’s tourism. This website was created using programming languages like PHP, JavaScript, and MySQL database.The catalogue website has many features and information such as user profile, map, tourist spots, public facilities, culture, arts, traditional food, events, recommendations, and photo gallery.

Abstract

Many jobs in Indonesia are still using manual systems in the administrative and financial system so that it is not uncommon to experience an owner of employee fraud and data loss. Therefore, a program created to keep records for all the existing administrative system.The execution of this thesis focuses on creating programs that make record is valid and easy to use even for employees as well but do granting access rights to prevent manipulation of data. In addition, this thesis aims to expand sales of Happy Bakery through a website that provides online ordering features and feature photo gallery for promotional purposes.Based on the testing that has been done, the user gives the criticism that the website has less color in the display. Website created more colored so as to attract many customers.

Abstract

Banyuwangi is the eastern most regency of the island of Java. The regency’s geography is quite diverse, from lowlands to mountains. Banyuwangi also has two nature reserves, which are very large and beautiful for visitors to see particularly marine nature. Tourism in Banyuwangi is also growing rapidly, ranging from city tours, marine tours, culinary tours, and other attractions. These attract many interests from tourists to visit Banyuwangi to see and enjoy tourism in Banyuwangi. However, the information about Banyuwangi tourism is quite difficult to obtain in a complete form and require a lot of time to collect from various sources. Relying on mobile devices that can be carried anywhere and easy internet access, an application for providing information to guide tourism in Banyuwangi was proposed.In this study, an Android-based tourism information application for Banyuwangi was developed. The application has many features that can help users, particularly information on places of interest, hotels, public transport, culinary, souvenir, and weather.Testing results show that the application can display local maps, routes, sorted list of places of interest by distance or travel time, weather forecast, and also provide an overview of Banyuwangi tourism through photographs and video clips. Using this application, the user can easily access tourism information in Banyuwangi.

Abstract

Currently, the information system that was recently implemented in IV shop worked well in the long term for administration purpose. Meanwhile, IV shop still lacks any supporting application for their front-end sales department, which has direct contact with customer in daily basis.The fact that IV shop sells various car-related products with various brands troubles their salespeople because they have to learn and understand each product’s uniqueness. In addition, occasionally, there are communication problems between manager and salespeople. The salespeople may not fully understand the current promotion in IV shop. Furthermore, there were some occasions that they forgot their assigned tasks.In order to solve the current condition, an android application were developed. This Android application was created by using Ionic Framework, AngularJS, Google Firebase database, Amazon RDS database, and SQLite database. This application has 7 major functions, which are: Account Management, Incentive Management, Company Timeline, Leads Management, Opportunity Management and Company Statistics. There are some additional functions to support the front-end salespeople and manager, such as: user tracking, private-chatting, group-chatting, and real-time information for data-driven decision.The final result of this application development lets users get a better insight about products and know the recent important information faster and more effective. This application also works well with the existing system.

Abstract

There are several types of artificial intelligence that have been created by humans. Artificial intelligence is used to calculate, determine decisions, translate one language to another. In addition, various large technology companies such as Google and Apple have also created their own artificial intelligence, namely the Google Assistant and Siri. Of course the market segments of these two companies compete with each other, and so far Google Assistant which is more supportive of Android is more widely used than Siri.Google Assistant is an  artificial intelligence that can help as a personal Assistant and integrated is in many ways with Smartwatch, Android Mobile, Google Home, car, TV, and others. Third-party developers can integrate their Apps with Google Assistant.This application uses Google Assistant, Dialogflow and Neo4j. This application helps study bible and see Biblical context better by using a recommendation system, and further the artificial Intelligence could make the conversation more natural. Users will be able to search various biblical data ranging from verse searches, outline verses, strong numbers, devotional, dictionaries about biblical data.

Abstract

Cloud computing is a new technology that is being hotly discussed by experts in information technology. Cloud computing technology is here to address the challenge of more efficient computing technologies. So an idea has come about to build a cloud system in the Petra Christian University’s computer laboratory. However implementing the cloud could interfere with the use of existing lab. The application aims to help the user manage the cloud system to run according to the desired schedule.The application development involved evaluation on the scheduling system, enhancement on the filter scheduler to accommodate a time schedule, and creation of the web-based user interface to manage the time schedule (in the form of a calendar).The application can restrict the OpenStack's instance deployment only on the time schedule allowed by the system administrator. In addition, the system scheduler has negligible latency (overhead), so that it will not affect the system scheduler’s performance.

Abstract

One of the Informatic laboratories in Petra Christian University is Multimedia laboratory. In this laboratory, every computer has multiple operating systems. Lot of class activities use Windows operating systems and outside class activities users usually use Ubuntu operating system. Changing the operating system from Windows 7 to Ubuntu takes a long time because the operating system must be changed manually. Changing the operating system manually may not cause a problem if the change is just applied to a single computer. If the number of computers is 20, further more, the operating system is changed 2 – 4 times a day, then changing the operating system may take a lot of time. This will trouble the lab assistant too much and delay the class activities.
