Abstract

Food is a very important topic, because it includes the social, political and economic significance, it is not separated from the definition of the concept of food as one of the basic needs of every individual and is one of the main pillars of human rights. Government is obliged to ensure food security, in terms of number of good qualities and price stability and on the other hand, an increase in income to boost purchasing power, especially from low-income groups. One example of government policy relating to the above context is to give food subsidies. Food subsidies given in the form of providing cheap rice for the poor through rice special market operations by Bulog. Food subsidies aimed at ensuring the availability and distribution of rice and price stability by providing affordable prices to the poor or low income groups. This research’s purpose is to analyze the effects of the realization of food subsidies on household income levels and sectors of the Indonesian economy. To analyze the impact of food subsidies on household income levels and sectors of the Indonesian economy, this study used an analysis tool SAM (Social Accounting Matrix) which is based on the approach chart Social Accounting Matrix (SAM) Indonesia 2008. The result of this research found that the Food Subsidy will have an impact on increasing household income in Indonesia amounted to 0.86 percent, from Rp. 2,450,888.53 billion changed to Rp. 2,472,062.68 billion. Group of households with the highest income level changes is a sector group of households receiving food subsidies by raising revenue by 5.29 percent, from Rp. 298,165.08 billion changed to Rp. 313,939.76 billion. The second highest income increase is agricultural employers household by 0.32 percent, from Rp. 703,950.96 billion to Rp. 706,191.88. Sectors of the economy which have the greatest increase in productivity as a direct and total economic impact of food subsidies (Raskin) is the food industry, beverages and tobacco.

Abstract

Micro, Small and Medium enterprises is the biggest economic actors in Indonesia, which reach 99% of businesses players in Indonesia. In Kebumen Regency on 2009, there were 35,114 micro-businesses managed by entrepreneur, with employment as many as 75,500 workers. In order to increase micro-businesses and developing new entrepreneurs, the government attempts to support the strengthening of the micro-businesses sector. To strengthen the capital, PD BPR BKK Kebumen, as financial institutions which are moving to serve the credits needs of the community in district and village, have distributed a lot of credits to small businesses and medium businesses primarily in the informal and traditional sector. The purpose of this study was to analyze the role of microcredit PD BPR BKK Kebumen Kutowinangun Branch in order to develop micro-businesses in the Kutowinangun District. The variables studied are differences in business capital, production, sales volume and profits before and after receiving credits from PD BPR BKK Kebumen Kutowinangun Branch. The objects of this research were micro-businesses which get credit from PD BPR BKK Kebumen Kutowinangun Branch, in total of 82 micro- business. Types of data collected are primary data and secondary data. The methods of data analysis used were validity test, reliability test, and Wilcoxon sign rank test statistics. Based on the calculations for the Wilcoxon sign rank, the variable capital has increased by 250%. Variable income has increased by 139% after the credit of the PD BPR BKK Kebumen Kutowinangun Branch. For variable profits, has increased by 140% after receiving credits from PD BPR BKK Kebumen Kutowinangun Branch.

Abstract

Rapid changes in the industrial sector in recent years shift the role of the agricultural sector in national and regional economic structure. This showed, the higher contribution of industrial sector in national and regional economic structures. One of the potential industries in Indonesia, particularly in Semarang is presto milkfish processing industry. Although it had a good prospect, but this industry knowed have lower production value when compared to some small industries in Semarang. One of that is caused by limited capital. Therefore the Department of Marine and Fisheries Semarang have tried to help develop the business of processed fishery by providing grant the equipment of production. This study using mixed methods analysis that is  combination of quantitative and qualitative analysis. Quantitative analysis aims to describe the profile of bussiness, determine the development of business whereas quantitative analysis aims to analyze business prospects that using the R / C ratio in presto milkfish processing industry after receivied a grant from the Department of Marine and Fisheries Semarang. The results showed that presto milkfish enterprise in Semarang has varied characteristics and cost structures so that classified into three industrial scale namely small, medium and large. According to the calculation of the R / C ratio> 1, financially presto milkfish enterprise has a good prospect and deserves to be developed. In its development, presto milkfish enterprise had increased average production, working hours, sales turnover and profits in each group on a scale: small, medium and large.
