Abstract

AbstractThe purpose of this research is to analysis the transmission mechanisme of dual monetary system from conventional and sharia to inflation (IHK) using Vector Auto Regression (VAR) methods. The data used in this study is monthly data in the form of time series began in January 2000 to December 2016. Data process employ stationer test, cointegration test, stability test, impulse response functions analysis and forecast error variance decomposition. The result of conventional transmission mechanisme shows that is SBMK effective to promote inflation, but SBI, LOAN, and PUAB are not effective to promote inflation. Meanwhile, the sharia transmission mechanisme indicate that are SBIS and FINCS not effective in drive inflation, while FINC and IHMK effective to boost inflation. Finally, in dual transmission mechanisme shows that LOAN and FINC contribute more than other variables in influencing inflation.

Abstract

Purpose – This study aims to analyze the effect of stability, size, financial performance and macroeconomic variables on the profitability of Islamic Rural Banks (BPRS) in Indonesia.Methodology – This study uses panel data consisting of 82 BPRS from December 2012 to December 2018. This study uses a dynamic model using GMM (General Method of Moments) developed by Arellano & Bover (1995) and Blundell & Bond (1998). GMM is used to describe the actual conditions in the analysis of profitability of Islamic Rural Banks.Findings – The findings of this study indicate that the stability and size of the BPRS have a negative effect on the level of ROA and ROE. Further, BAC has a positive effect on ROA but it has a negative effect on ROE. While the deposit structure (DS) is found to have a positive effect on ROA and ROE, FDRand the total deposit (DAR) is found to have a positive effect on both ROA and ROE. Meanwhile, the capital structure does not show a significant value on ROA. On the other hand, economic growth (GDP) and inflation (INF) do not show a significant relationship to ROA, but inflation is positively related to ROE.Originality – This study is to determine the effect of the stability and the size of BPRS on its profitability. This study uses 6 models to obtain a consistent variation of variables in influencing profitability.

Abstract

Poverty is a complex problem, which is interrelated with one another, including: low skill levels, low capital ownership, low employment opportunities, low income levels, low education levels, low health levels, low productivity . One approach to solving the problem of poverty is through a community empowerment approach ( community empowerment ). Through this empowerment approach, it provides opportunities for the community to play an active role in development by developing their potential as the basic capital of development, and giving full authority to the community in making decisions according to their wants and needs. Penanggu circles in poverty for Sidoarjo regency , one of them reached by way of women's empowerment, by providing training for Poor Women Headed Households that a partnership with several employers. What is interesting about the empowerment program in Sidoarjo is that the target is aimed at women as the head of poor families, on the grounds that the basis for selecting the program is that women have a position in a country, society and even in the household. Based on the findings from the results of data processing on the variables studied, it can be concluded that the implementation of poverty alleviation with an empowerment approach to the Head of Poor Women's Family in Sidoarjo is still not optimal in reducing the number of poor people, therefore there needs to be an increase, especially in the entrepreneurial aspect of women

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of internal and external factors on the liquidity of Islamic banks. The research observation period was from January 2015 to April 2019 using the autoregressive distributed lag (ARDL) data processing method. ARDL is used to determine the short-term and long-term independent variables on the liquidity variable. The results of data processing found that CAR has a significant negative effect on FDR, but it is not significant in the short term. Likewise, ROA has a significant positive effect on FDR only in the long term. NPF in the short and long term has a significant negative effect on FDR. Then BOPO has a significant positive effect on FDR only in the long term. The BI Rate has a short-term and long-term effect on FDR, but in the short term, the BI Rate has a significant positive effect, while in the long term, the BI Rate has a significant negative effect on FDR. Inflation has a negative effect but does not significantly affect FDR in the long and short term. IPI in the long and short term has a significant positive effect on FDR.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the entrepreneur’s behavior to pay zakat and to formulate the role of zakat institutions such as the National Zakat Board (BAZNAS) and Amil Zakat Institution (LAZ) in improving total zakat collection. Total respondents in this research are 751 entrepreneurs across 28 provinces in Indonesia. Partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) was used to know the entrepreneur’s behavior in paying zakat. Attitude toward moral reasoning, influence of religious leaders, peer influence, zakat knowledge, zakat system structure, enforcement of zakat law, and government support affect the interest of entrepreneurs to pay zakat. However, the attitude toward zakat evasion and transparency of zakat management does not affect the interest of entrepreneurs to pay zakat. The role of the government is getting a spotlight in this study because of its significance in formulating relevant policies to increase the interest of entrepreneurs to pay zakat. The establishment and supervision of zakat institutions as well as the issuance of supportive regulation is considered important in this study.

The object of this research is Islamic Commercial Banks in Indonesia. The method of analysis used in this study is regression with the Autoregressive Distributed Lag (ARDL) model. The ARDL model was chosen because by using the ARDL method, it was able to see the influence of the Y variable. The data processing used Eviews 10. From the data processing, it was found that the variables CAR, FDR, and INF did not significantly influence the manufacturing sector. And the variables of DPK, NPF, ROA, BI_RATE, and BOPO have a significant effect on the manufacturing sector. The main contribution in this study is to identify and examine Islamic bank financing to the manufacturing sector in depth.
