Abstract

CSR implementation and impact on social and financial performance have been long debated. This study used 108 samples of textile and its products companies in Central Java Province employing Stratified Random Sampling method based ISO certification ownership. Data analysis used Structural Equation Modelling (SEM), utilized AMOS 16.0. Prior to hypothesis examination, data validity and reliability as well as model appropriateness were examined. This study suggested the hypothesis to examine the relationship among corporate stakeholder strategy, social capital, CSR implementation, corporate social performance, and corporate financial performance as research variables. The result of the study showed that: corporate stakeholder strategy intensity may improve social capital building; social capital as an unique characteristics of firms may stimulate CSR implementation better and may achieve corporate social performance better; commitment and consistency of CSR implementation are likely to make corporate financial performance better; and there is no relationship between corporate social performance and corporate financial performance.Keywords: social capital, CSR, stakeholder theory, corporate social performance and corporate financial performance

Abstract

The aims of this study were to test and analyze empirically the influence of owners’ personality on the small firm organizational culture, on their business strategy orientation, and on the enterprises performance either directly or indirectly. Hypothesis testing was done using empirical data obtained from the questionnaires collected from 365 owners’ of small firms. The testing of hypothesis model used SEM (Structural Equation Modeling) found that the owners’ personalities significantly influenced the organizational culture, and significantly influence the small firm strategy orientation, organizational culture influenced the business strategy orientation, and the owners’ personalities both through organizational culture and business strategy have dominant impact to the performance of their small sized enterprises. The theoretical implication gained in this study was the finding of a theoretical model showing correlation among owner’s personality, organizational culture, business strategy orientation, and their impact to small sized enterprise’s performance. The practical implication of this research suggests that in order to improve small sized enterprises performance, some trainings that meet the personality trait of small sized enterprises owners need to be conducted in order to develop organizational culture and business strategy.Keywords: Personality, Organizational Culture, Business Strategy, Small Sized Enterprise Performance

Abstract

The purpose of this research explores the role of transformational and transactional leadership for implementation Supply Chain Management in Indonesia, especially in Malang, East Java. The research variables are transformational and transactional leadership which is connected with commitment and firm performance. The research data is the manufacturing industries (based on BP'S Criteria) in Malang which implement supply chain. The sample for this research based on purposive sampling. The analysis for this research is based on PLS (Partial Least Square). The results for this research show that there is relationship between transactional leadership-and commitment, there is relationship between transformational leadership and commitment to implement supply chain. The other results show that there is negatif significant between transactional leadership and firm performance to implement supply chain. Finally, there is positif relationship between commitmet to implement supply chain with firm performance
