Abstract

Nitrite (NO2 - ) is a compound that can distrupting oxyhaemoglobin process and causes body weakness, fatigue, and samnolen. Either to reduce nitrite value in the water is to use activated charcoal moringa seeds, because it countains 4-alfa-L-rhamnosyloxy-benzilisothiocyanate substances. This research aims to find out influence of activated charcoal concentrate and immersion time variant to the reduction of nitrites ion in the water. Research object was nitrite ion in 10 ppm concentrate, the immersion with activated charcoal moringa seeds with concentrate variant 9 ; 12 ; and 15%w/v, with 10 ; 20 ; and 30 minutes immersion time. Nitrite assay performed with specfotometry methods with griess reagent. From the research results, optimum wave length is 540 nm and time stability of initial nitrite value 10 minutes with initial 4,7794 ppm. Reduction lowest nitrite value in the water is 9%w/v concentrate in 10 minutes time, with the result 3,1816 ppm and highest nitrite value is 15%w/v concentrate (1,1862 ppm). So that, can be conclude there is reaction activated charcoal moringa seeds variant concentration and immersion time to reducting nitrite ions in the water.

Abstract

Lupus or Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE) is a life-threatening chronic autoimmune disease with symptoms similar to those of other diseases. Frequent misdiagnosis of lupus increases the mortality rate of the disease. Public understanding is still low about Lupus, characterized by a variety of misperceptions about the disease, which still occurs. In rural area, Lupus is still often regarded as a virus transmitted and is associated with weak immune activity. There are still many women who do not yet know that they are a group that is more susceptible to Lupus than men. Various errors in people's perception of Lupus need to be corrected to increase public awareness of the disease. Efforts to correct misperceptions about Lupus have been done through Science and Technology for Community (Ilmu Pengetahuan dan Teknologi bagi Masyarakat, IbM) activities in counseling form to the housewife groups in Kalipucung Hamlet, Genting Village, Jambu District, Ambarawa, Central Java. Participatory approaches and tutorials have been carried out in the IbM activities through the provision of counseling materials, as well as the delivery of questionnaires before and after counseling. The results of the questionnaire analysis indicate that the counseling program could improve awareness about Lupus disease among community in rural area.

Abstract

Pencemaran air dikawasan pantai Kota Semarang diketahui mengandung logam berat salah satunya yaitu logam Cr (VI). Biota air yang potensi sering terkontaminasi adalah kerang hijau. Makanan yang tercemar logam berat perlu dilakukan penurunan dengan sekuestran salah satunya asam sitrat.Buah Markisa merupakan buah yang mengandung asam sitrat sehingga dapat menurukan kadar cemaran ion Cr (VI) pada kerang hijau. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh variasi konsentrasi sari buah markisa dan lama waktu perendaman terhadap penurunan kadar ion Cr (VI) pada kerang hijau. Metode Penelitian yaitu eksperimen. Objek penelitian kerang hijau yang terkontaminasi Cr (VI), kemudian dilakukan penurunan kadar Cr (VI) menggunakan variasi konsentrasi sari buah markisa (25, 50 dan 75% ) dan lama waktu perendaman (45, 60 dan 75 menit). Hasil penelitian adalah panjang gelombang optimum (ƛ) 540 nm dan waktu kestabilan optimum 10 menit. Kadar Cr (VI) awal diperoleh 8,69 mg/kg. Presentase penurunan kadar Cr (VI) akhir selama 45 menit 25, 50, dan 75% v/v adalah 23,88%, 28,13%,43,38%. Perendaman 60 menit 25, 50, dan 75% v/v adalah 31,53%, 44,93%, 62,25% . Perendaman 75 menit 25, 50, dan 75% v/v adalah 71,98%, 75,98%, 80,84%. Konsentrasi dan lama waktu perendaman sari buah markisa yang paling efektif untuk menurunkan kadar Cr (VI) pada kerang hijau adalah 50%, selamat 60 menit sebesar 44,93%. Terdapat pengaruh variasi konsentrasi dan lama waktu perendaman sari buah markisa terhadap penurunan kadar Cr (VI) pada kerang hijau.

Abstract

The Research Program Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka and the Community Dedication based on Research Result is implemented in society. In previous study, Tempuyung and Breadfruit leaves contain flavonoid which can shed kidney stones. The dried Breadfruit leaves contains higher potassium rather than the fresh ones and it’s about 573,68 mg/kg. Ca oxalate was 81.73 % soluble in boiling water of leaf’s breadfruit tea when it consumed once a day for seven days. The method for increasing the production of kidney stone laxative herbal medicines have three steps: preparing the team and partner there are GAPOKTAN Mekar Makmur and Group of society RW VI Krapyak, Semarang. The results of this study need to implemented in society. The step of implementation held in RW VI hall, practice making product of tea bag and brew, also making reports. Based on the questionnaire data, the benefits of this program increase public knowledge about Tempuyung and Breadfruit leaves for shedding kidney stones. The average of increasing knowledge about Breadfruit and Tempuyung leaf goods is 28%, 44% packaging and labelling, and 45% in product marketing. The output is documentation videos, publication in social media, journal community service also the product tea bag and brew of Tempuyung and Breadfruit leaves as well as the other herbal drinks (turmeric, ginger and temulawak).

Abstract

Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever is Dengue is a disease caused by mosquito vectors. Breaking the chain of transmission in larval vases can be prevented by spraying using natural ingredients as safe and environmentally friendly larvicides, including lemongrass leaves and orange peel. The aim of this activity is to use waste lemongrass leaves and orange peels to prevent Aedes aegypti mosquitoes, as well as being able to make mosquito coils. The community service program partner is the principal of SDN Dombo 1 Sayung Demak. This service method begins with a location survey of SDN Dombo 1 Sayung, making poster media, a lecture on Clean and Healthy Lifestyle, the benefits of lemongrass leaves and lemon peel, as well as presenting a practical video on making lemongrass leaf and lemon peel solution, packaging and labeling. Before implementation, a pre-test was carried out and after implementation, a post-test was carried out. Results: The average pre-test score was 75.36 and the students' post-test was 97.39 (an increase in knowledge of 29.23%). In conclusion, this community service activity increased students' knowledge. Lemongrass Leaf and Orange Peel Spray can be used to prevent Aedes aegypti mosquito bites.
