Abstract

In industrialization we need to improve productivity and efficiency which it helps to challenge and can produced high performance product. One of factor that influence productivity is about safety, healthy and environment where we work. We could said that because K3L could build competent, professional and skilled worker. This research measure about relationship between safety, healthy, and environment variable with productivity worker. We use Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) to examine data because with SEM, we will get simultaneous causality relationship between variable. With considering variable that influence in productivity, we can give some recommendation to improve productivity. Based on data and result we got some variable that give significant influence, such as: comprehension in vision and mission in K3L, fire extinguisher availability, safety sign utilization, K3L training, machine jig and fixture completeness, machine lay out and tool storage, machine and tool maintenance. Healthy variable that influence productivity is salary, scholarship, disable factor from worker, worker competence, optimize  polyclinic, optimize medical personal, accident assurance. Environment variable that influence productivity is  trash bin availability, good lighting, processing waste, good air circulation, safety from danger in work environment, good temperature, bathroom sink availability, and WC avalialbility.

Abstract

There are many small industryy that manufacture parts and accessories two-wheeled. Production process of parts and accessories has been done in the welding process. Welding is a common method used to connect the metal permanently. The results of observation on welding process identify there are many problems faced by operators of welding process. Welding facilities are not ergonomic and resulted in complaints of the welding operator. Results of nbm questionnaire given to operators welding showed that there are many complaints from operators. To solve the problems, this paper propose repairing on a working position and design work facilities that match with the anthropometry operators and then propose the additional aids ( jigs and a fixture ) for operators.

Abstract

Good performance measurement is a measurement that covers all aspects of the stakeholders include investors, customer, employees, suppliers, regulators and communities. There is only one performance measurement that covers all aspects of stakeholders by using performance prism methods. Hospital X Malang is one example of an organization that use traditional performance measurement. Performance measurement has been done based on the financial side only, while the other aspects less noticed. Performance prism in this study aided by Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) and scoring system which includes objectives matrix and traffic light systems. The results was obtained 99 KPI consists of 17 investors, 35 customer, 16 employee, 15 supplier and 16 regulators and the community. Total index of the objective matrix is 7.9 and based on the traffic light system is in the yellow category.

Abstract

Military weapons industries supporting industries most likely to be developed into a leading center of technology in accordance with the type of industry. With that goal achieved through Total Quality Management is an approach oriented to continuous quality improvement. Based on this analysis needs to be done related to the components of total quality management what are the qualities that support the quality of production and how its application in the arms industry and how to identify one component of total quality management that affect the quality improvement of quality related to changes in the occurrence of downtime in production with the method klongsong MVSM. On the basis of the proposed theoretical model, the analysis of corporate performance, descriptive analysis and analysis of TQM. Abstract

This study describes a series of treatment processes and functions of each stage in the production process and the conditions of maltose product with GMP parameters are implemented by the application of HACCP is equipped with Work Instructions CCP. The study was conducted with qualitative data analysis, by comparing the data and the results of observations with the relevant literature, in the form of articles, research journals, and generally accepted standards, although the calculation of GMP with some quantitative data. Through the resulting composition of the seven studies document the HACCP assessment, include: (1) Establishment of HACCP team, (2) Description of Products and Processes, (3) Purposes and Consumer Products, (4) Process Flow Diagram, (5) Hazard Identification, (6 ) Determination of the CCP, and (7) Worksheet CCP. Documents 1, 2, and 3 have been prepared to review and revise the existing old documents, while the documents 4 to 7 is a new document. The seven documents is then also equipped with Work Instruction documents CCPs to facilitate labor in monitoring and control of critical control points (CCPs). The results showed maltose production process generally consists of four main phases, including: likuifikasi, saccharification, purification (filtration and ion processes), and concentration.

Abstract

Packaging Factory have activities in  bag production. In order to increase the productivity, the company should manage the activities to increase valued added and decrease several waste. This study was purpose for analyzed the caused problems of waste, and give recommendation for minimizing the waste.  The problem solving at the study was using lean manufacturing concept approach.  The waste identification began with identification of  current state value stream mapping with weighting the waste in order to  understand the root of problem within production process.  The detail mapping selection was using Value Stream Analysis Tools (VALSAT).  Root Cause Analysis was used in order to understanding the root of problem for production process followed by FMEA for understanding the improving priority which has to be done. From the data analysis result, we found that the most dominant waste order is defect, waiting,  inventory, excessive transportation.The mapping detail used for analysis process as Process Activity Mapping Supply Chain Response Matrix and Quality Filter Mapping. From the result of study we found the decreasing of production time from 138.4 minute to 119.4 minute.  Decreasing lead time process could reach 13,7% comparing before the recovery step.

Abstract

Abstract: Internal combustion engine is an engine that is old enough and today has much alternative energy that is found to shift from the role of motor fuel, The cooling system in internal combustion engine, if not handled properly will cause something that is fatal is the occurrence of overheating. Cooling during this time using the fin and radiator, and research continues to grow in terms of heat transfer, that is by using porous media, with the help of computer simulation then the role of the fin and radiator can be replaced with porous media with porosity variation 10%, 15%, 20% 25%, 30% so that the temperature distribution will be obtained. The result of the research by using simulation shows that the porosity value of porous media, the temperature distribution value is also bigger. The lower porosity of the value of (h) the heat transfer coefficient will increase.

Abstract

Performance measurement method, Performance Prism, was used to improve performance measurement method in this furniture company. Until now, performance measurement system in this company  haven’t represented overall organizational performance since it only used performance measurement based on individual ability. Performance measurement using Performance Prism method was used because it could reflects the needs and desire of each identified stakeholder within company. This performance measurement is an integrated measurement, encompassing all company aspects (stakeholder) which related with stakeholder satisfaction and stakeholder contribution for the company. Performance measurement in this study also supported by several other methods such as weighting with Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) to determine priority scale of each KPI, Scoring System using Objectives Matrix (OMAX) and Traffic Light System to determine total index value of company in corporation level and category of those indices. Results of performance measurement in this company using Performance Prism indicated 79 KPI’s consist of 17 KPIs on Investor perspective, 16 KPI’s on Customer perspective, 16 KPI’s on Employee perspective, 15 KPI’s on Supplier perspective and 15 KPI’s on Regulator perspective. Based on performance measurement calculation using Objective Matrix and Traffic Light System, it obtained total index value 5,8364. This showed that performance of this furniture company  still yet to reach desirable performance thus it would need some improvement in this matter.

Abstract

Recorded approximately 27 universities in this city is increasingly fierce competitive situation from time to time, causing many colleges difficult to increase the number of students [1]. Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University contained in Malang has not identified the quality of service and support strategy for the satisfaction level of students so as to improve the quality of students. In this research use corporation of SERVQUAL method and multiple linear regression to analyze the results of the questionnaire. This processing produces Gap values and linear regression analysis, it can be calculated the value of Servqual that known and will be prioritized for enhanced service quality. Conclusions and recommendations in order to get improved quality of improvement efforts of the priority criteria for enhanced quality service. Based on  data processing  using multiple linear regression analysis only tangible dimension that significantly to improve overall satisfaction. To prioritize the improvement of his physical condition improved following completion of facilities and infrastructure improvements in the information media (internet), completeness of facilities and infrastructure improvements in the lecture, the addition means supporting information, improved seating and desks Conditions comfortable class, classroom hygiene, completeness of facilities improvement and infrastructure in the library, improvement classroom air circulation, comfortable classroom temperature, comfortable classrooms lighting.

Abstract

Services in Program Studi Pendidikan Teknik Mesin (PSPTM) still has drawbacks, among other complaints for cleanliness wc, and class. This indicates or identifies a student dissatisfaction against poor service. Service has 5 dimensions, namely tangible dimension, responsiveness, reliability, assurance, empathy is to be seen to solve the existing problems. Analytical techniques is used SERVQUAL approach and Quality Function Deployment (QFD). Calculation results gap between perception and expectation would then be prioritized using the Pareto principle to acquire the attributes which are important for repair. In the academic service attributes availability of toilets has the highest gap value at -2,70 , while at the administrative service, on-time attendance officer has a gap value of -1,74. From the House of Quality on academic services obtained 33 attributes as recommendations for improvements such as fixing a broken toilet, maximize existing bandwidth. Meanwhile, in the administrative services generated 21 attributes priority, such as scheduling workers, implementing SOP service, encourage officers to be more proactive in serving students.
