Abstract

Services in Program Studi Pendidikan Teknik Mesin (PSPTM) still has drawbacks, among other complaints for cleanliness wc, and class. This indicates or identifies a student dissatisfaction against poor service. Service has 5 dimensions, namely tangible dimension, responsiveness, reliability, assurance, empathy is to be seen to solve the existing problems. Analytical techniques is used SERVQUAL approach and Quality Function Deployment (QFD). Calculation results gap between perception and expectation would then be prioritized using the Pareto principle to acquire the attributes which are important for repair. In the academic service attributes availability of toilets has the highest gap value at -2,70 , while at the administrative service, on-time attendance officer has a gap value of -1,74. From the House of Quality on academic services obtained 33 attributes as recommendations for improvements such as fixing a broken toilet, maximize existing bandwidth. Meanwhile, in the administrative services generated 21 attributes priority, such as scheduling workers, implementing SOP service, encourage officers to be more proactive in serving students.

Abstract

Abstrak: Alat permainan edukatif memiliki manfaat penting dalam perkembangan kognitif anak, keterampilan motorik, dan kebugaran anak. Desain dan pembuatan yang dilakukan di Laboratorium Pendidikan Teknik Mesin Universitas Palangka Raya perlu dianalisis untuk mengetahui sejauh mana alat ini berguna. Hal pertama yang harus dilakukan adalah mempelajari literatur dan kemudian mengidentifikasi variabel penelitian yang bertujuan mendapatkan gambaran tentang apa yang dibutuhkan pengguna. Dari hasil kuesioner awal, tiga variabel diperoleh, yaitu desain, permainan mudah, dan keamanan. Data penelitian lebih lanjut yang telah diperoleh dengan nilai indeks dari produk yang diperoleh adalah 94,83%. Abstract: Educational game tools have important benefits in a child's cognitive development, motor skills, and children's fitness. The design and manufacturing done at the Mechanical Engineering Education Laboratory of Palangka Raya University needs to be analyzed to find out how far the tool is useful. The first thing to do is to study the literature and then identify research variables aimed at getting a picture of what the user needs. From the results of the initial questionnaire, three variables were obtained, namely design, easy game and safety. Further research data that have been obtained with an index value of the products obtained are 94.83%.

Abstract

: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengembangkan aplikasi media pembelajaran pada mata kuliah dinamika teknik pada di Program Studi Pendidikan Teknik Mesin Universitas Palangka Raya. Secara khusus selain menggembangkan aplikasi media pembelajaran tujuan penelitian bermaksud untuk mengetahui bagaimana kelayakan aplikasi media pembelajaran untuk diterapkan pada mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Teknik Mesin Universitas Palangka Raya. Hasil penelitian menunjukan produk aplikasi media pembelajaran pada mata kuliah dinamika teknik di Program Studi Pendidikan Teknik Mesin telah memenuhi kriteria kelayakan dari aspek verbal, aspek visual dan aspek pemprograman dari respon penilai dengan kategori “sangat baik” dengan persentase masing-masing 77,73%, 77,66% dan 78,52%.

Abstract

Increasing fuel consumption efficiency is a challenge in the development of choppers machine. Multiple testing procedures must be performed in order to improve. aims to evaluate the performance of automobiles running on fuel that meets RON 90 and 92 requirements. The test is performed three times with a consistent angle of cut of 10 degrees at an engine speed of 2,700 rpm.The duration of the combustion engine's operation has an impact on fuel usage. The average consumption difference between the 1800 and 1200 second tests utilizing the cutting load at RON 90 is up to 2% better. With the same amount of time as the prior test, the RON 92 testing showed a 0.5% improvement in fuel efficiency. Speed increases result in more thorough combustion, thus reduces fuel usage. High chopping speeds can be used by users to improve fuel economy.

Abstract

In the world of children, physical activities are a vital key to their development, and play becomes a crucial aspect in this process. Utilizing play equipment, children's learning and interaction can be facilitated. Through the Community Engagement initiative conducted by the Mechanical Engineering Education at Bakuwu Kindergarten, Universitas Palangka Raya (UPR), innovative principles are integrated into the creation of children's play equipment. The primary objective of this initiative is to gain insights from both teachers and parents regarding the produced play equipment. The research methodology employs a mixed-methods design, incorporating Pareto analysis. The results reveal that maintenance and upkeep of the play equipment constitute a predominant issue, contributing to 34% of the overall problems. It can be concluded that the maintenance of play equipment is a critical element in enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of activities. Sustained development and improvement have long-term benefits for children, educators, and the community. Recommendations for enhancement encompass heightened awareness, regular maintenance, and the implementation of continuous improvement cycles, aligning with the Pareto analysis principles that emphasize addressing the most significant issues for optimal outcomes.

Abstract

This study evaluates air conditioning systems, focusing on addressing two primary types of heat: sensible and latent heat. Sensible heat, which affects temperature without causing a phase change in the material, is the main contributor to the cooling load and originates from human bodies, electronic equipment, and solar radiation penetrating windows. The study identifies that solar radiation significantly contributes to the heat load, particularly from the North and south sides. Peak heat gain on the north side occurs between 11:00 and 13:00, reaching 285,956 kcal/h, while the south side experiences reduced heat load due to natural shading. Meanwhile, latent heat, which relates to phase changes without a temperature increase, plays a minor role in this context. Heat gain from walls, particularly the east wall in Machine Classroom 1, reaching 5263 kcal/h at midnight, also plays a crucial part. Human activity, with a total of 7920 W or 7.92 kJ/h, and electronic equipment, contributing 32.55 watts or 117.18 kJ/h, add to the overall heat load. The total heat load peaks at midnight, with values around 44.235 kJ/h in Room 1 and 38.972 kJ/h in Room 2. Based on these calculations, the required AC capacity is 42,000 BTU/h for Room 1 and 36,000 BTU/h for Room 2. The capacity conversion shows a need for approximately 12.28 kW for Room 1 and 10.82 kW for Room 2. This study underscores the importance of selecting the appropriate AC capacity based on total heat load calculations involving various factors, especially in tropical regions like Palangka Raya, to ensure efficiency and thermal comfort.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of education levels on environmental behavior among communities in the Katingan Watershed (DAS Katingan). The findings reveal that education levels play an important role in shaping environmental behavior, although their contribution is relatively small compared to other factors. Respondent data analysis indicates that the majority of the population has a secondary education level (high school), with occupational distribution dominated by the agricultural sector (27%), while most residential locations are situated along riverbanks (75.2%). Higher levels of education have the potential to increase environmental awareness; however, the low coefficient of determination (R² = 3.6%) suggests that education accounts for only a small portion of the variation in environmental behavior. Other factors, such as attitudes, access to environmental management facilities, government policies, and socio-economic conditions, exert a greater influence. This study concludes that a holistic, community-based approach, enhanced infrastructure access, and supportive policies are essential to fostering better environmental behavior. These findings provide a foundation for developing environmental education programs that are relevant to local needs, particularly in the agricultural sector and natural resource management.

Abstract

      This study underscores the urgent need for vocational education in Kotawaringin, Central Kalimantan, to meet industry demands and public expectations for accessible and high-quality education. The findings indicate a strong interest in vocational training aligned with local industries, with the majority of respondents (67.79% male) recognizing its role in workforce preparedness. Most 11th-grade students (46.21%) prefer entering the workforce immediately after graduation (61.05%), particularly in the mining sector (30.06%), due to financial constraints and concerns regarding university graduates' employment prospects. The majority of respondents come from SMKN 2 Sampit (37.94%) and SMKN 1 Pangkalan Lada (36.09%). Bridging the gap between career preferences and labor market needs requires awareness campaigns, scholarships, internships, and industry partnerships. Key strategies include strengthening school-industry collaboration, enhancing infrastructure, developing competency certification programs, improving teacher training, promoting curriculum flexibility, and expanding financial aid. Broadening financial assistance is crucial for accessibility. These measures are expected to equip graduates with relevant skills, foster regional economic growth, and strengthen the sustainability of the workforce.

Abstract

Starting from the limitations of real learning media in learning, this study aims to explore students' perceptions of the use of Mini Cultivator as a learning medium. The research method used is quantitative using the urgency, seriousness, and growth (USG) matrix. The data collection technique uses a questionnaire. The results of the study showed that students' perceptions on the aspect of media effectiveness received the highest priority with a percentage of 25.07%, followed by motivation at 25.06%, usefulness at 25.04%, and innovation at 24.81%. Students' positive perceptions of Mini Cultivator media are reflected in the results of the USG analysis. The results of the assessment on the "urgency" dimension indicate students' awareness of the importance of using Mini Cultivator in learning. The "usefulness" dimension shows that students see Mini Cultivator media not only as an addition, but as an important element in learning. The "development" aspect shows that Mini Cultivator media is relevant and closely related to the topic or concept being studied.

Abstract

Masalah lingkungan pada desa mitra ketika dilakukan observasi adalah banyaknya drum bekas penyimpanan solar yang tidak terpakai. Selain itu kurangnya pengetahuan mitra dalam mengolah makanan berbahan baku daging ayam yang cepat dan menyehatkan untuk disajikan ke konsumen. Topik yang dipilih adalah pengelolaan limbah dari drum bekas agar memiliki nilai jual. Pengolahan drum bekas ini melalui metode difusi ipteks sebagai solusi yang diberikan ke mitra untuk menggiatkan kembali usaha masyarakat desa. Kegiatan ini menghasilkan produk yang langsung dapat digunakan dan digandakan secara mandiri. Rancang bangun alat pemanggang dari drum bekas ini juga upaya dalam mengurangi sampah anorganik yang tentunya bisa membantu menyelamatkan lingkungan. Pengabdian ini bertujuan meningkatkan perekonomian masyarakat melalui pengelolaan usaha berbasis sumber daya. Objek mitra yakni usaha kecil katering rumahan di desa Tumbang Terusan, Kabupaten Pulang Pisau, Provinsi Kalimantan Tengah. Hasil ujicoba didapat daging ayam ketika dipanggang lebih empuk, tidak gosong, menyehatkan dan lebih cepat masak. Metode memanggang secara konvesional membutuhkan waktu lebih dari satu jam sedangkan dengan drum bekas ini hanya 30 menit.
