Abstract

Produk Domestik Bruto (PDB) merupakan indikator pertumbuhan ekonomi suatu negara. PDB terdiri dari beberapa komponen, salah satunya UMKM. Selain berfungsi sebagai penyumbang PDB, UMKM juga berperan dalam penyerapan tenaga kerja. Pokok dari  penelitian ini bermula dari bagaimana pengaruh elastisitas PDB terhadap tenaga kerja yang diserap oleh UMKM. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu sejauh mana pengaruh elastisitas Produk Domestik Bruto (PDB) terhadap penyerapan tenaga kerja yang terjadi pada sektor UMKM.  Analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif deskriptif, dengan bantuan model elastisitas kesempatan kerja. Data yang digunakan merupakan data Perkembangan Usaha Mikro Kecil Menengah dan Usaha Besar yang diperoleh dari Departemen Koperasi dan Usaha Kecil dan Menengah.  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa  angka elastisitas kesempatan kerja pada  usaha mikro yaitu sebesar 0,56%. Artinya, apabila PDB  Indonesia  bertambah satu persen  (1%), maka akan terjadi penciptaan kesempatan  kerja sebesar 0,56%. Angka 0,56  lebih kecil dari 1 (<1) artinya, pengaruh  Produk Domestik Bruto (PDB)  terhadap pertumbuhan kesempatan kerja pada  usaha mikro  bersifat inelastis (hanya sedikit terpengaruh). Pada  usaha kecil angka elastisitas kesempatan kerja   yaitu sebesar 0,71%. Artinya, apabila PDB  Indonesia bertambah satu persen (1%), maka akan terjadi penciptaan kesempatan kerja sebesar 0,71%. Angka 0,71 lebih kecil dari 1 (<1) artinya, pengaruh Produk Domestik Bruto (PDB) terhadap pertumbuhan kesempatan kerja pada usaha kecil bersifat inelastis (hanya sedikit terpengaruh). Pada usaha menengah elastisitas kesempatan kerja  yaitu sebesar 0,17%. Artinya, apabila PDB  Indonesia  bertambah satu persen (1%), maka akan terjadi penciptaan kesempatan kerja sebesar 0,17%. Angka 0,17 lebih kecil dari 1 (<1) artinya, pengaruh Produk Domestik Bruto (PDB) terhadap pertumbuhan kesempatan kerja pada usaha menengah bersifat inelastis (hanya sedikit terpengaruh).    Kata kunci: Elastisitas,  PDB, UMKM, Penyerapan Tenaga Kerja.

Abstract

There has been a common picture in economic development that micro and small enterprises (MSEs) tend to conglomerate in various clusters for the sake of gaining location advantages. These MSEs then create inter-firm linkages and business strategies as the two play an important role in their performance. By taking selected manufacturing MSEs that operate in various small industrial clusters in East Java, Indonesia, this research examined the relationships between the inter-firm linkages and business strategies applied simultaneously by MSEs and their impacts on the firm’s performance. Viewed from the perspective of a co-opetition strategy, the results of this study revealed that some types of inter-firm linkages and business strategies matter for the MSEs’ performance. However, within small industrial clusters, inter-firm linkages seem to be less effective compared to business strategies in affecting a firm’s performance.

Abstract

There are some obstacles faced by Islamic microfinance institutions in performing Islamic financial contracts as purely demanded by Islamic law. In case of Bayt al-Maal wa al-Tamweel (BMT), the application of Islamic financial contracts needs a special approach and innovation. By taking BMT Sidogiri of East Java as the research site, this study qualitatively evaluated the practice of murabahah, mudlarabah, and musharakah contracts conducted by such an insti-tution. In examining these obstacles, this study had conducted several in-depth interviews with the branch manajer of BMT Sidogiri of Malang City. The findings revealed that the obstacles in performing Islamic financial contracts are dominated by lack of knowledge, asymmetric information, limited cooperation among related institutions, opportunistic behavior, and lack of social capital. To overcome these obstacles, it is recommended that the practices of Islamic financial transactions were not only in line with shari’ah-compliant but also with shari’ah-based schemes.

Abstract

The expansion of e-commerce dramatically changes the spending patterns which are found a significant number of impulse buying. Practical method and easy way to buy specific goods from e-commerce might be an important factor why customers spent their money more impulsively. Researches on this phenomenon showed that psychological values emerged from religiusity condition and self-interest encouragement play as self-regulation for controlling impulsive buying behavior. Viewed from Islamic economic perspective, this study seeks to configurate self-interest (al-nafs) into three levels namely al-nafs al-ammarah, al-nafs al-lawwamah, and al-nafs al-muthmainnah when al-nafs involved in online impulse buying. The first two layers of al-nafs refer to the level of self-interest which are material oriented, whereas the last one represents the highest level of self-interest which is spiritual oriented. By employing 134 repondents from e-commerce customers in Jakarta, the research findings revealed that there was no relationship between religiusity and al-nafs al-ammarah and al-nafs al-lawwamah. However, al-nafs al-ammarah (sig.= 0.000) and al-nafs al-lawwamah (sig.=0.040) positively influenced impulse buying. Meanwhile, there was strong relationship between religiusity and al-nafs al-muthmainnah (sig.= 0.000) in which this highest level of self-interest did not have relationship with impulse buying. These research findings have important implications that in order to regulate impulsive buying behavior, customers should control their self-interest and make it to be al-nafs al-muthmainnah.

Abstract

Semare village has the potential of nature to developed to ecotourism village, located north of Pasuruanregency of East Java. Community service is done by formulating the concept of Semare Village development, KecamatanKraton, Pasuruan to an independent village with basic development of coastal village through Semare Sea Cafe concept(CLS) and strategy to be pursued in succeeding concept that has been formed. Community service is carried out for 6 (six)months, ie February 2018 to July 2018 in Coastal Village Semare, Pasuruan Regency. The methods used in this devotionare field observation, Foccus Group Discussion (FGD), comparative study and graphic design to get the CLS design inline with the expectations of Semare Village residents. Meanwhile, to find out how much participation in villagedevelopment conducted by the community is analyzed menggungan method of Rapid Rural Appraisal (RRA). Villagepartner development activities that have been implemented during the first year with the aim of introducing andsocializing the mindset waterfront village in Semare Village community have a positive impact. This is reflected in thebehavior and attitude of the people who have consciously organized the coastal environment to a village that is at leastworth visiting. The villagers are very enthusiastic to succeed the event. So in the second year of service activity is moreemphasized on the study activity of Village Ecotourism based on community participation

Abstract

This research scrutinizes the relationship between Love of Money (LOM), hedonic behavior and Islamic religiosity in pursuing life satisfaction in consumption. By utilizing accidental sampling method, the research then employed 99 customers who spent their money in one of the biggest department stores in Malang City. The calculation of data with SmartPLS-3.1.8 revealed that Islamic religiosity significantly affects live satisfaction (β = 0.290; ρ-value = 0.003). In the same time, LOM significantly influences hedonic behavior (β = 0.417; ρ-value = 0.000). However, hedonic behavior does not mediate the relationship between LOM and life satisfaction. This study accordingly concludes that Islamic religiosity plays a main role in consumption. Therefore, it is suggested that every Muslim have to instill Islamic religiosity in daily activities for obtaining life satisfaction.
