Abstract

This quasi-experimental research aims for knowing the effectiveness of the imple-mentation of cooperative learning model type Teams Games Tournament (TGT) with convensional learning towards student’s mathematical conceptual  understanding. The research design is posttets only control group design. The research population  was all student of 7th grade class even semester of SMPN 22 Bandar  Lampung academic year 2012/2013 and the sample of this research are class VII-C and VII-D that choosen randomly from seven classes. Based on the data analysis, it is found that student’s mathematical conceptual understanding avera-ge and student’s learning completeness in cooperative learning model type TGT is higher than conventional learning. The conclusion is cooperative learning model type  TGT is more effective than conventiona learning towards student’s mathe-matical conceptual  understanding. Key words: effectivity, tgt, mathematical conceptual  understanding.

Abstract

The problem studied in this research is related to the less than optimal achievement of students' mathematical problem solving abilities. The aim of this research is to determine the effect of the 5E Learning cycle learning model on the mathematical problem solving abilities of class VIII Even Semester students at SMP Negeri 14 Bandar Lampung for the 2023/2024 academic year. This research uses an experimental method with the population in this research, namely all class VIII students of SMP Negeri 14 Bandar Lampung consisting of 8 classes. Meanwhile, two classes were taken as samples, namely class VIII B as the experimental class which applied the 5E Learning cycle learning model, and class VIII A as the control class which applied the conventional learning model. Samples were taken using the Cluster Random Sampling technique. To determine students' mathematical problem solving abilities, the author carried out a test in the form of an essay with five questions whose validity and reliability had first been tested. Hypothesis testing in this study used the t-hit formula and obtained a value of t = 3,10. From the t distribution table at the 5% significance level, it is known that t = 1,67, so , which means that the average mathematical problem solving ability of students who use the 5E Learning cycle learning model is higher than the average mathematical problem solving ability of students who use the model. conventional learning.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektifitas media pembelajaran pada materi geometri berbasis etnomatematika terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik SD Negeri 1 Beringin Raya Bandar Lampung Semester Ganjil Tahun Ajaran 2023/2024. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen, dengan menggunakan sampel acak, sampel didapatkan kelas IVA sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas IVC sebagai kelas kontrol. Sampel diambil menggunakan teknik Cluster Random Sampling. Untuk mengetahui kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dilakukan tes dalam bentuk essay sebanyak lima soal yang terlebih dahulu telah diuji validitas dan reliabilitasnya. Pengujian hipotesis pada penelitian ini menggunakan rumus statistik uji . Dari hasil perhitungan diperoleh thitung = 2,74 dengan taraf signifikansi 5% didapat ttabel = 1,67. Dapat terlihat bahwa thitung > ttabel sehingga H0 ditolak. Maka dapat diartikan rata-rata kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa pada kelas eksperimen sebesar 75,16 lebih tinggi daripada rata-rata kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa pada kelas kontrol sebesar 62,41. Jadi dapat disimpulkan Media Pembelajaran Geometri Berbasis Etnomatematika efektif terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa Kelas IV SD Negeri 1 Beringin Raya Bandar Lampung.

Abstract

The problem in this study is the low critical thinking skills of students in learning mathematics. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of applying a realistic mathematical approach to the critical thinking skills of Class X Even Semester students at SMK Negeri 7 Bandar Lampung in the 2022/2023 academic year. This study used an experimental method with the population in this study, namely all students in class X even semester of SMK Negeri 7 Bandar Lampung, while two classes were taken, namely class X KK 1 which used a realistic mathematics approach, and class X KK 2 which used a conventional approach. Samples were taken using the Cluster Random Sampling technique. To find out students' critical thinking skills, a test was carried out in the form of an essay of five questions which had previously been tested for validity and reliability. Hypothesis testing in this study uses the t-hit formula. From the results of testing the hypothesis using the t-hit statistical formula, the value of t = 1,88 is obtained. From the t distribution table at a significant level of 5% it is known that t = 1,67 then  which means that the average critical thinking ability of students who use a realistic mathematics approach is higher than the average critical thinking ability of students who use a conventional approach.

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the CORE learning model on the mathematical problem-solving abilities of grade VIII students in the Odd Semester of SMP Negeri 34 Bandar Lampung in the 2025/2026 Academic Year. This study used an experimental method with the population in this study being all grade VIII students of SMP Negeri 34 Bandar Lampung consisting of 7 classes. While the sample was taken from two classes, namely class VIII C as the experimental class that applies the CORE learning model, and class VIII A as the control class that applies the conventional learning model. The sample was taken using the Cluster Random Sampling technique. To determine students' mathematical problem-solving abilities, the author conducted a test in the form of five essay questions that had previously been tested for validity and reliability. Hypothesis testing in this study used the t-hit formula and obtained a value of t = 3,51. From the t-distribution table at a significance level of 5%, it is known that t = 1,67, so , which means that the average mathematical problem-solving ability of students using the CORE learning model is higher than the average mathematical problem-solving ability of students using the conventional learning model.
