Abstract

This study aims were determine the profile and pattern of students cooperation ability in Science Learning on IV grade and V grade studebts. The subject in this research were 56 students from IV and V grade that were selected by using saturated sampling techniqui. The qualitative data were descriptions of the abilities and pattern of students cooperation that were obtained from students questionnaire and observation sheets that calculated the percentages and interpreted into criterias. The results showed that generaly the students cooperation ability in science learning was "high" criteria with a percentage of 70%, which the highest aspects of cooperation ability was "discipline". While the cooperation pattern performed by students were spontaneous, contracts, and traditional. The most dominan cooperation pattern was contract cooperation that was performed by four groups.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui profil dan pola kemampuan kerjasama siswa dalam pembelajaran IPA pada siswa kelas IV dan kelas V. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IV dan kelas V yang berjumlah 56 siswa dipilih menggunakan teknik sampling jenuh. Data kualitatif berupa deskripsi kemampuan dan pola kerjasama siswa yang diperoleh dari angket dan lembar observasi dengan menghitung persentase dan diinterpretasikan kedalam kriteria. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara umum kemampuan kerjasama siswa dalam pembelajaran IPA termasuk dalam kriteria tinggi dengan persentase 70%, dimana aspek kemampuan kerjasama yang tertinggi yaitu disiplin. Pola kerjasama yang terbentuk pada siswa yaitu spontan, langsung, kontrak, dan tradisional. Pola kerjasama yang paling dominan yaitu pola kerjasama kontrak yang dilakukan oleh empat kelompok.Kata kunci: kemampuan kerjasama, pembelajaran IPA, pola kerjasama

Abstract

Science teachers often conduct a teacher-centered learning process without analyzing the essential needs of each student. Yet, it may not support student to enhance their cognition ability in 21th century era. This study aimed to describe teachers' perception toward usage of electronic multi representation-STEM based worksheet. The study was conducted in February 2021, involving 245 student and 15 science teachers of junior high school. The research used a mixed method with Sequential Explanatory Design. Data were taken using Questionnaire, interview, and to analyze current student worksheet. Data were analyzed descriptively. The data analysis techniques are data collection, data reduction, data display, and verification. The result shows that student have a positive perception toward usage of the electronic multi representation-STEM based worksheet. Almost all the teachers did not use the STEM approach to teach science. The current worksheets has not completely train students' metacognitive abilities and the students` metacognition was in low category, teacher has not use proper learning strategies, method, and  visualize concepts in multi representation. It can be concluded that a STEM-based multi-representation worksheet is needed to improve students` metacognitive abilities of junior high school

Abstract

This study aims to describe teachers' perceptions of the role of student worksheet (Hard Scaffolding) in improving HOTS and students' collaboration skills. The research was conducted in the province of Lampung, Indonesia, involving 56 science teacher respondents through the MGMP IPA forum (Science Subject Teacher Consultation). The research design is mixed methods. The mixed methods strategy used by Sequential Explanatory Design combines qualitative and quantitative data collection and data analysis. Data was taken using a questionnaire that was distributed using a Google form. The survey results show that teachers have a positive perception of student worksheet (hard scaffolding) to improve students' higher-order thinking skills and collaboration skills. Based on the results of an analysis of the use of student worksheet in schools, most teachers have not used student worksheets that are able to train students to achieve competence optimally. The scaffolding strategy in science learning can help the learning process where students are given some assistance during the early stages of learning and then reduce this assistance and provide opportunities for students or students to take over greater responsibility after being able to do it on their own so as to be able to involve students. actively in a learning process that is oriented to equip students with higher-order thinking skills and collaboration skills.
