Abstract

The purpose of this research are to knowing the differences of critical thinking skills using interactive module photoelectric effects  with printed module, describe the improvement of students' critical thinking skills after the interactive module is applied, describe science process skills in students who use interactive module of photoelectric effects, and knowing student responses to the use interactive module of photoelectric effects. The study was conducted in Natar 1 Public High School, in the even semester 2018/2019 academic year with research design nonequivalent control group design. The research instrument used was a questionnaire (questionnaire), Student Worksheet (LKPD) along with observation sheets and test questions. Data collection techniques were carried out by test techniques, questionnaires and LKPD contents. The data analysis technique of critical thinking ability is done by normality test, homogeneity test and N-gain. The data analysis technique of science process skills is done by calculating the average grade of the class then adjusted to the index classification table of science processes. Hypothesis testing is done by Paired Sample T Test and Independent Sample T Test. The results of the study show that (1) the application of the photoelectric effect interactive module is able to improve students' critical thinking skills, this is seen from the N-gain value and paired sample t test results, 2) there are significant differences in critical thinking skills between students who use interactive modules with printed modules, this is seen from the differences in the n-gain values of both classes and the results of the independent sample t test, (3) the value of students' science process skills is 82.6 with a high category, and (4) students gave a positive response to the utilization of the photoelectric effect interactive module.

Abstract

Educating residents around the coastal areas not only involves the central and regional governments, but also all aspects of the community structure. Considering the number of children who are victims of disasters and the lack of integration of disaster response literacy in the field of education, University of Lampung, in this case the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) also participated in educating residents around the coast, especially the South Lampung area, through the field of Education. In addition, based on the results of direct interviews with one of the Sciences Teachers of Primary School in South Lampung, it is known that the unavailability of teaching materials that build disaster response literacy and the weakness of teachers' skills in developing integrated lesson plan for disaster response. Therefore, there was a Technical Guidance (Bimtek) activity for the preparation of lesson plan oriented towards disaster response literacy of junior high school students for science teachers. Through this Bimtek, science teachers are equipped with knowledge about integrating disaster response into learning through lesson plan and learning media.

Abstract

This study aimed to develop a Science Process Skills (SPS) instrument using CBT on heat matter. The method implemented was Borg & Gall Research and Development model. The preliminary stage data proved that instruments to measure SPS using CBT were required. In design & product development stage, instruments were validated by experts. Validation score of media was 84.5%, while matter score was 80%, and language score was 84%. The product testing stage was conducted at a vocational school in Lampung Province. The SPS instruments tested using CBT was done in 4 stages, i.e. the expert, the small group, the field and the instrument test stages. The results of the expert analysis test showed a percentage score of 85.25% or very eligible. The results of limited and field trials showed results of 86.5% and 81.5% or very interesting. The results of small group trials through students’ responses were 86.5% while field trials were 81.5% or very interesting. The instruments test resulted 15 valid instruments of 20 prepared questions, the reliability (r11) was 0.97 or very reliable. The discrimination power of 15 questions was categorized as good. The difficulty level showed that 7 questions were easy while 8 others were sufficient category

Abstract

This research aims to describe the validity of multiple representations-based blended learning programs to stimulate complex problem-solving and reduce student learning loss. The products developed for validation are in the form of syllabi, Lesson Plans, Electronic Student Worksheets (e-Worksheet), and e-Handouts. This type of research includes Research and Development (R&D) using the ADDIE development design which consists of five steps, namely analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. This research is limited to the development stage. The analysis phase is the problem analysis step. The design stage is designing product development. The development stage, namely product development, is carried out by product validation by an expert validator using a validity test sheet instrument in the form of a questionnaire. Validation scores are accumulated to obtain validity values. The results of the investigation based on expert validation prove that the learning program developed is in the category of very high validity. This shows that this learning program is worth experimenting with in teaching and learning activities to find out the practicality and effectiveness of the product in stimulating complex problem-solving and reducing learning loss

Abstract

This study aims to describe teachers' perceptions of the role of student worksheet (Hard Scaffolding) in improving HOTS and students' collaboration skills. The research was conducted in the province of Lampung, Indonesia, involving 56 science teacher respondents through the MGMP IPA forum (Science Subject Teacher Consultation). The research design is mixed methods. The mixed methods strategy used by Sequential Explanatory Design combines qualitative and quantitative data collection and data analysis. Data was taken using a questionnaire that was distributed using a Google form. The survey results show that teachers have a positive perception of student worksheet (hard scaffolding) to improve students' higher-order thinking skills and collaboration skills. Based on the results of an analysis of the use of student worksheet in schools, most teachers have not used student worksheets that are able to train students to achieve competence optimally. The scaffolding strategy in science learning can help the learning process where students are given some assistance during the early stages of learning and then reduce this assistance and provide opportunities for students or students to take over greater responsibility after being able to do it on their own so as to be able to involve students. actively in a learning process that is oriented to equip students with higher-order thinking skills and collaboration skills.
