Abstract

The aim of the research is to find out  the influence of Lewis Bond media on student learning outcomes after participating in the learning process of chemical bonding materials. This research is a pre-experimental study with a one group pretest-posttest design. The sample of this research was 30 students of 10th grade of computer network engineering class II at SMK Muhammadiyah II Yogyakarta. The instrument of data collection was in the form of learning outcome test questions on chemical bonding materials. The data of student learning outcomes were analyzed by using paired sample t-test with SPSS 24.0. The analysis results obtained a sig value 0.05, which means that there is difference on student learning outcomes after using Lewis Bond media. It shows that the use of Lewis Bond learning media on chemical bonding materials is able to improve student learning outcomes.Keywords: Lewis Bond media, chemical bonds, learning outcomes

Abstract

Students' low critical thinking ability requires teachers to design the learning process creatively. One of the efforts teachers can make is integrating teaching materials with technology and learning models of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). This study aims to develop an interactive electronic module containing STEM on the reaction rate material and determine the resulting module's quality. This research is development research (R&D) with a 4D development model (Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate). The product is an interactive electronic module containing STEM in the form of HTML containing material, interactive quizzes, and STEM projects. The research instrument used was a quality assessment sheet for media experts, material experts, reviewers (high school chemistry teachers), and response sheets for class XI high school students. The results of the product quality assessment by media experts get a percentage of 96.7% in the very good category, material experts get 82.2% in the good category, and reviewers get 95.0% in the very good category. The students responded positively to the module with a percentage of 96.0%. Based on the assessment results and student responses, it can be concluded that the product developed is feasible to be used as an alternative media in the learning process on the reaction rate material to improve students' critical thinking skills

Abstract

Electrolyte and non-electrolyte solution material is an abstract chemical material. Therefore, learning media is needed so that the material becomes concrete to increase students' interest in learning and understanding and avoid misconceptions. This research aims to develop a motion graphic video on the material of electrolyte solution and non-electrolyte solution and determine the quality of the resulting product. This research is development research (R&D) with a 4D model (Define, Design, Development, and Disseminate), but this research is only up to the development stage. One material expert, one media expert, and four reviewers (senior high school chemistry teachers) assessed the product. Material experts' results of the product quality assessment get 95% in the Very Good category, media experts get 90% in the Very Good category, and reviewers get 91.25% in the Very Good category. In addition, the results of student responses obtained 98%. Based on the assessment results, it can be concluded that motion graphic video can be used as an alternative learning media on electrolyte and non-electrolyte solutions to increase student interest in learning.

Abstract

Computer Based Test (CBT) website-based chemistry national exam is an online-based chemistry exam system in terms of test prep and practice for a national exam, provided with item analysis. The results of the item analysis serve to determine the indicators of questions that are considered difficult by students so that the deepening of the materials is more accurate to the students’ needs. This research aims to develop a computer-based test (CBT) for students of Islamic High School (MA). The product is also categorized as Computer Based Test (CBT) because a computer is required to implement the exam. The development of CBT used the Borg and Gall model with five stages: (1) research and information collecting, (2) planning, (3) developing preliminary products (4) preliminary field testing, and (5) primary product revision. The instruments used were product validation sheets under the authority of media and IT experts, quality assessment sheets from reviewers (chemistry teacher of MA), and student response sheets. Based on the assessment of reviewers (chemistry teachers of MA), the developed product, website-based chemistry test obtained an ideal percentage of 91% with the very good category (VG), and student response was 92% with the very good category (VG). Therefore, it can be concluded that the website-based chemistry test is feasible for national exam practice.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Guru sebagai “agen perubahan” sangat berpengaruh dalam meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan. Mengajar dan belajar saat ini membutuhkan terobosan baru. Covid-19 ini menjadi pemicu terjadinya perubahan yang pada akhirnya semua harus berbasis online. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah (1) mengembangakan learning management system (LMS) untuk pembelajaran sains dan MIPA, (2) mengetahui kulaitas dari LMS yang dikembangkan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan dengan pendekatan 4D. Instrumen pengumpulan data berupa lembar angket kualitas produk untuk ahli materi, ahli media, peer reviewer, dan guru MIPA, serta lembar angket respons siswa. Produk yang dihasilkan dinilai kualitasnya oleh 1 ahli materi, 1 ahli media, 5 peer reviewer, dan 2 guru MIPA, dan 15 siswa MTs. Analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian ini adalah (1) telah berhasil dikembangkan LMS untuk pembelajaran sains dan matematika di Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs) sebagai solusi pembelajaran online di masa Pandemi Covid-19, (2) kualitas produk yang dihasilkan dalam penelitian ini adalah Sangat Baik, dengan persentase keidealan menurut ahli materi sebesar 89,5%, ahli media sebesar 88,4%, peer reviewer sebesar 89,1%, dan guru MIPA sebesar 88,7% dengan total rata-rata adalah 88,9% dengan kategori Sangat Baik, (3) respons dari siswa MTs yang menyatakan bahwa kualitas produk adalah sangat baik, dengan persentase keidealan sebesar 82,4%.
