Abstract

Critical thinking students can be improved by making questions in the test instrument categorized as Higher Order Thinking Skill (HOTS), because students are given HOTS category questions, it will train students in high-level problem-solving. This research develops a test instrument in the category of Higher Order Thinking Skill (HOTS) based on Wondershare Quiz Creator because it can train students to use the development of Science and Technology. The purpose of this development research is to develop a test instrument based on Wondershare Quiz Creator to know the completeness of student learning outcomes and the critical thinking of students. This research used Research and Development (R & D) type and the sample as many as 35 students of XII MIPA 4 in SMAN 1 Tanggul. This design research used Plomp and Nieveen's development style. Product testing is carried out online using the test instrument software that has been developed. The test instrument developed was declared valid and could be used in learning, from 35 students, there are 5 students who have completed their learning outcomes, and there are 2students who have very high critical thinking skills.Keywords: Completeness learning outcomes, Critical thinking skills, Higher Order Thinking Skill (HOTS), Test instrumentDOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jpf.v9.n1.202104

Abstract

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh paparan medan magnet Extremely Low Frequency (ELF) terhadap pH dan daya hantar listrik pada proses fermentasi basah kopi liberika dengan penambahan α-amilase. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen dengan randomized subjects post test only control group design. Pada penelitian ini terdapat 7 perlakuan yang terdiri dari kelompok kontrol dan kelompok eksprimen yang dipapar medan magnet ELF dengan variasi intensitas 300 µT dan 400 µT dan variasi lama paparan 30 menit, 60 menit, dan 90 menit. Pengambilan data dilakukan pada jam ke-24, jam ke-48, hari ke-3, hari ke-4, dan hari ke-5 setelah proses fermentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa paparan medan magnet Extremely Low Frequency (ELF) berpengaruh terhadap pH dan daya hantar listrik pada proses fermentasi basah kopi liberika dengan penambahan α-amilase yang ditunjukkan dengan bervariasinya grafik. Pengukuran kopi liberika dengan paparan medan magnet ELF intensitas 400 µT selama 30 menit paling berpengaruh terhadap pH kopi liberika. Sedangkan, pengukuran kopi liberika dengan paparan medan magnet ELF intensitas 300 µT selama 30 menit dan 90 menit paling berpengaruh terhadap daya hantar listrik kopi liberika yang telah difermentasi secara basah dengan penambahan α-amilase. Kata kunci: medan magnet ELF; pH; daya hantar listrik; fermentasi; kopi. ABSTRACTThe purpose of the research is to examine the effect of Extremely Low Frequency (ELF) magnetic field to pH and electrical conductivity in the wet fermentation process of liberica coffee with the addition of α-amylase. Type of the research is an experimental research with randomized subjects post test only control group design. There is seven treatments consist of control group and experimental group exposed to ELF magnetic field with 300 µT and 400 µT intensity variation and for 30, 60, and 90 minutes for long variations. For hours 24, 48, day 3, day 4, and day 5, can make data retrieval after fermentation process. The result explain is effect of Extremely Low Frequency (ELF) magnetic field to pH and electrical conductivity in the wet fermentation process of liberica coffee with the addition of α-amylase was take effect to indicated by the variation of the graph. The process ELF magnetic field with 400 µT intensity for 30 minutes most influential on pH of liberica coffee. Meanwhile, the process ELF magnetic field with 300 µT intensity for 30 and 90 minutes most influential on electrical conductivity of liberica coffee in the wet fermentation with the addition of α-amylase. Keywords: ELF magnetic field; pH; electrical conductivity; fermentation; coffee.

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis keterampilan generik sains siswa SD pada materi sifat-sifat cahaya, mendeskripsikan retensi keterampilan generik sains siswa SD terhadap pengaruh Problem Based Learning pada materi sifat-sifat cahaya, dan mendeskripikan respon peserta didik terhadap penggunaan model Problem Based Learning pada materi sifat-sifat cahaya. Metode penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif eksperimen, dengan jenis eksperimennya adalah Pra Eksperimen. Jumlah sampel sebanyak 25 siswa yang berasal dari kelas 4 SDN Sidodadi 06, Jember. Desain yang diguankan pada penelitian ini yaitu One Grub Pretest and Posttest dengan ditambahkan tes tunda yang berselang 30 hari setelah kegiatan posttest. Data yang terkumpul dalam penelitian ini adalah Pretest, Posttest, dan tes tunda keterampilan generik sains siswa, serta respon siswa terhadap implementasi model Problem Based Learning. Hasil dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk signifaikansi uji hipotesis Paired Sample T Test adalah 0,000, yang menunjukkan terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan pada implementasi model Problem Based Learning terhadap peningkatan keterampilan generik sains. Hasil uji tes tunda sebesar 61,8668 yang menunjukkan kategori retensi keterampilan generik sains siswa pada kategori tinggi. Hasil respon siswa terhadap implementasi persentase dapat diketahui bahwa skala sangat setuju yang mencapai 76,5% dan skala setuju yang menunjukkan 23,5% Problem Based Learning, yang menunjukkan respon positif dari siswa.Abstract:  This research aims to: analyze the effect of PBL on the generic science skills, describe the effect of PBL on the retention of generic science skills, and describe students responses to the use of the PBL model on the material light properties. This research method is experimental quantitative, with Pre-Experiment. Sample in this reasearch are 25 students from class 4 of SDN Sidodadi 06, Jember. Design in this study is One Grub Pretest and Posttest with addition delayed test which is 30 days after posttest activity. The data collection in this research are pretest, posttest and delayed of students’s generic science skills, and  questionnaire is used to analyze student responses to the implementation of the PBL model in learning. The results of this study are  the significance of the Paired Sample T Test is 0,000, it means there is a significant effect on the implementation of the PBL model on increasing science generic skills; the result of delay test is 61,8668, it means category of retention of students' generic science skills in the high category; and the result of responses are scale strongly agrees shows 76.5% and agrees scale which shows 23.5%, it means a positive response from students.

Abstract

One of the most difficult chapters in physics is alternating current circuits. This material is also one of the materials tested in the university test. This is because the material requires a fairly complicated mathematical approach. Additionally, the alternating current circuit textbooks that have been used so far still use too high language. Therefore, the researchers need a simple way that can facilitate students in solving alternating current circuit problems and be packaged in a textbook. A simple way to solve alternating current problems can be done using the Pythagorean theorem. This is because the two are identical. Therefore, the purpose of this research is to develop a textbook on alternating current circuit material accompanied by a solution using a simpler method, namely the Pythagorean theorem. This study uses a research and development model with the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation) stages. There were five research instruments used: (1) validation sheets; (2) teacher interview sheets; (3) teacher and student needs sheets; (4) test sheets; and (5) student response questionnaire sheets. The developed textbook has been validated by two experts and one user with a percentage value of 89.13%, so it is in the very valid category. In addition, based on the results of field tests on 34 class XII students of Senior High School in Jember, it is known that the developed textbook obtained an effectiveness percentage of 83.46% with an N-Gain value of 83.46. The textbook is in the high category and has a response questionnaire percentage of 80.3, so the developed textbook received a very positive response from students. By using this textbook, students can solve alternating current circuit problems more effectively and efficiently.
