Abstract

Abstract Growth and development of children determined by the condition of the fetus in the uterus and maternal dietary intake during pregnancy. Intake of macronutrient is a risk factor of low birth weight. Intake of low energy consumption has 76 times risk for low birth weight (p=0.02), intake of low fat consumption has 7 times risk for low birth weight (0.01) and intake of low carbohydrate hasa 12 times risk for low birth weight (p=0.01). Abstract

Anemia in pregnant women is very risky for the health of the mother and fetus. The incidence of anemia in pregnant women in Indonesia has increased from 2007 to 12.6% and to 37.1 in 2013. In West Sumatra Province, anemia in pregnant women was 43.1% in 2015. Anemia is usually characterized by a decrease in hemoglobin in mother's blood. To increase hemoglobin levels, pharmacological and non-pharmacological drugs can be used. One non-pharmacological treatment used is the administration of fruit juices. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of administration of Fe Plus tablet of Red Guava Juice on the Hemoglobin Levels of Pregnant Women with Anemia. Quasi-experimental research design using the two group design approach which was carried out on July 2 - 10, 2018 in the Working Area of the Air Padang Children's Health Center. The sample consisted of 10 intervention groups and 10 control groups with a purposive sampling technique. Data analysis was performed univariately and bivariately using dependent T-tests. The results showed that the intervention group that was given Fe tablets before plus red guava juice was an average Hb of 9.55. After being given Fe tablets plus red guava juice an average Hb of 11.17 (th1,286 <tt1,859). The mean Hb levels of pregnant women in the control group were given Fe tablets of 8.84. The average Hb levels after being given Fe tablets for 7 days 11.48. There was no difference in the effectiveness of Fe Plus Tablets of Red Guava Juice compared with Fe Tablets on Hemoglobin Levels in Pregnant Women with Anemia. This study recommends that health workers be able to provide counseling about the benefits, risks, time consuming Fe tablets, side effects of Fe deficiency and ways to prevent iron deficiency. Abstract

The class for pregnant women is a place to increase knowledge, attitudes, and behavior of mothers during pregnancy. Currently the world is facing the Covid-19 pandemic caused by the Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus-2 (SARS-CoV-2). The current condition of the Covid-19 pandemic has caused the mother's class activities to not be carried out properly. Health services must continue to run optimally, safe for patients, health workers including midwives. This activity aims to create a complete understanding in all sectors regarding maternal and child health services with preventive and promotive efforts through organizing, community empowerment and empowering women in the community. The method used is a mixed method, descriptive qualitative and quantitative by means of in-depth interviews and surveys conducted boldly (WA Group for pregnant women, and Via Phone, Video Call/SMS). The results of 6 pregnant women in RW III, it was found that 100% of pregnant women had never attended classes for pregnant women during the Covid-19 pandemic, and 100% of pregnant women were worried about pregnancy during the Covid-19 pandemic. Interventions were carried out in the form of advocacy to the puskesmas and midwives of supporting health centers, as well as empowering health cadres in carrying out classes for pregnant women by utilizing online technology via WhatsApp groups, Zoom Meetings, Video Calls and the Tiktok application. It is hoped that cadres will play an active role and collaborate with midwives and health workers in terms of providing health information, especially those related to the health of pregnant women by utilizing online media, so that the health of pregnant women is monitored during the COVID-19 pandemic.
