Abstract

The class for pregnant women is a place to increase knowledge, attitudes, and behavior of mothers during pregnancy. Currently the world is facing the Covid-19 pandemic caused by the Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus-2 (SARS-CoV-2). The current condition of the Covid-19 pandemic has caused the mother's class activities to not be carried out properly. Health services must continue to run optimally, safe for patients, health workers including midwives. This activity aims to create a complete understanding in all sectors regarding maternal and child health services with preventive and promotive efforts through organizing, community empowerment and empowering women in the community. The method used is a mixed method, descriptive qualitative and quantitative by means of in-depth interviews and surveys conducted boldly (WA Group for pregnant women, and Via Phone, Video Call/SMS). The results of 6 pregnant women in RW III, it was found that 100% of pregnant women had never attended classes for pregnant women during the Covid-19 pandemic, and 100% of pregnant women were worried about pregnancy during the Covid-19 pandemic. Interventions were carried out in the form of advocacy to the puskesmas and midwives of supporting health centers, as well as empowering health cadres in carrying out classes for pregnant women by utilizing online technology via WhatsApp groups, Zoom Meetings, Video Calls and the Tiktok application. It is hoped that cadres will play an active role and collaborate with midwives and health workers in terms of providing health information, especially those related to the health of pregnant women by utilizing online media, so that the health of pregnant women is monitored during the COVID-19 pandemic.

An antenatal care visit is a visit of a pregnant woman to a health worker as early as possible since she must trust her to get antenatal care services. An assesment of the implementation of antenatal care services can be done by looking at the coverage of K1 and K4. This study was conducted in Lubuk Buaya Primary Health Centre at december 28th 2022- February 20th2023 with a cross sectional design. Thirty nine sample was taken by total population technique to all pregnant women who give birth in Lubuk Buaya Primary Health Centre. Data was collected use questionnaire, processed data and analyzed by univariate and bivariate. Results of this study found 23.5% respondents did not have complete visit, 12.5% respondents had a low level of knowledge, 56.4% respondents have negative attitude, and 33.3% respondents did not have husband’s support. Statistical analysis shows correlation between complete visit (p<0.05) with knowledge (p=0.007) and husband’s support (p=0.039) and no correlation with attitude (p=0.052). We can conclude that there is a correlation between knowledge and family support with complete visit coverage. However, there is no correlation between attitude and complete visit.

Abstract

Gastritis is a chronic inflammation of the stomach lining that causes epigastric pain, anemia, tenderness, and loss of appetite. In West Sumatra, gastritis was the fourth most common disease after acute respiratory infections in 2022 and 2023. A key cause of gastritis is irregular eating patterns, often due to improper diets, spicy foods, or foods containing microorganisms, which increase stomach sensitivity and risk of mucosal bleeding. This study aimed to examine the relationship between eating pattern regularity and the incidence of gastritis among third-year Diploma III Pharmacy students at STIKes Ranah Minang in 2024. A cross-sectional design was used, with primary data collected via questionnaires. The sample consisted of 55 students selected using purposive sampling. Data were analyzed using the Chi-Square test. Results showed that 76.4% had irregular eating patterns and 70.9% experienced gastritis. Among 42 students with irregular eating habits, 88.1% had gastritis, compared to only 15.4% of those with regular patterns. The p-value was 0.000, indicating a significant relationship. Conclusion: There is a relationship between eating pattern regularity and gastritis incidence.
