Abstract

A study was conducted in Kolisia B Village, Magepanda District, Sikka Regency. The purpose of this study was to examine farmers' attitudes towards UPSUS PAJALE activities and to determine the factors that shape farmers' attitudes related to farmers' attitudes towards UPSUS PAJALE activities in Kolisia B Village, Magepanda District. The results of the study showed that farmers' attitudes including age, personal experience, formal education, non-formal education, the influence of others who are considered important and mass media in Kolisia B Village towards the UPSUS PAJALE program were classified as good. The relationship between attitude-forming factors and farmers' attitudes towards the UPSUS PAJALE program: there was a significant relationship between non-formal education and mass media accessed with farmers' attitudes towards the Special Efforts for Rice, Corn and Soybeans (UPSUS PAJALE) program in Kolisia B Village. There was an insignificant relationship between farmers' age, personal experience, formal education and the influence of others who were considered important with farmers' attitudes towards the Special Efforts for Rice, Corn and Soybeans (UPSUS PAJALE) program in Kolisia B Village.

Abstract

The research was conducted in Wailiti Village, West Alok District, Sikka Regency, from May to June 2024. The purpose of this study was to determine the income of peanut farming in Wailiti Village, West Alok District, Sikka Regency. The results showed that the average income was IDR 426,146, with the highest income from peanut farming amounting to IDR 2,284,750 and the lowest income amounting to IDR 25,500. The R/C ratio of peanut farming was 1.5, which, according to the criterion that an R/C ratio greater than 1 indicates feasibility, means that the farming activity is considered economically feasible. Therefore, peanut farming in the research area can be regarded as feasible to operate.

Abstract

The research on the effect of liquid organic fertilizer dosage on the growth and production of mustard greens cultivated in polybags was conducted in Nangameting Village, East Alok District, Sikka Regency. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of liquid fertilizer dosage on the growth and production of mustard greens and to identify the appropriate dosage of liquid organic fertilizer that could improve the growth and production of mustard greens. This study used a Randomized Block Design (RBD) with five (5) treatments and four (4) replications, resulting in twenty (20) experimental units, namely: O0 (control/without fertilizer), O1 (300 ml/liquid fertilizer), O2 (600 ml/liquid fertilizer), O3 (900 ml/liquid fertilizer), and O4 (1200 ml/liquid fertilizer). The results showed that the application of liquid organic fertilizer had no significant effect on plant height and fresh weight of mustard greens. However, the placement of polybags in each group significantly affected the number of leaves of mustard plants. The highest average fresh weight was found in treatment O3 with a dosage of 900 ml/polybag, reaching 20.75 cm, while the lowest average was found in treatment O0 without fertilizer, with an average of 11.5 cm.
