Abstract

Community service activities for catfish aquaculture with tarpaulin ponds in Tuatuka, East Kupang District, East Nusa Tenggara Province. The problems are the potential of natural resources that have not been optimized and the desire of the Agape Farmer Group who wants to progress but is constrained by limited knowledge in making ponds, preparation of aquaculture media, stocking larva, maintenance, feeding, monitoring water quality, fish health management and harvesting.

Abstract

Kupang City is one of the areas that has become the center of marine fish marketing in East Nusa Tenggara Province. Sea fisheries production in 2017 amounted to 25,262.27 tons consisting of 32 types of fish. Until now, information about important marine fish species and their marketing channels in Kupang City are still limited. The purpose of the research is to identificate and inventory important marine fish species and analyze their marketing channels. This research discusses in Kupang City from May to November 2019 The research locations were Oesapa Market, Oeba Fish Market, Pasir Panjang Fish Market, Kasih Market and Tenau Fish Landing Center. This research was conducted using the field survey method and literature review. Based on the results of the study data obtained by demersal fish species of 72 species, which are included in 42 genera and 29 families. Pelagic fish species numbered 38 species, which are included in 28 genera and 14 families. So the number of species of marine fish inventoryed and collected was 110 species consisting of 43 families and 70 genera. The types of sea fish are very important which are inventoried as many as 62 species of demersal fish and 38 types of pelagic fish. So a total of 100 important marine fish that have been successfully inventoryed and repaired are 100 species. For marketing channels, from the survey results, five (5) network marketing models for important marine fish products were obtained in Kupang City. There are 7 types of marketing institutions involved from producers to registered consumers: traders, sea collectors, land collectors, retailers, agents, end consumers, and exporters.  Keywords: marine fish, demersal, pelagic, economically important, marketing

Abstract

Aquaponic refers to any system that combines conventional aquaculture with hydroponics in a symbiotic environment. In this study, catfish was cultured with green cabbage. The aim of this study was to observe catfish growth in aquaponics system. The growth parameters measured included feed consumption (g/day/fish), growth (g), growth rate (%/day), mean metabolic body weight (kg0.8), metabolic feed intake (g/ kg0.8/day), relative growth rate per metabolic weight (g/kg0.8/day), relative feeding rate (%BW/day), relative feeding rate per metabolic weight (g/kg0.8) and feed conversion. Factorial randomized trial was used with two factors namely fish stocking density (P) and plant substrate composition (S) with three replications. Stocking density factor consisted of two treatments which were 75-125 individuals per m2 (P1) and 126-175 individuals per m2 (P2). The composition of the substrate included two treatments, namely S1 (70% gravel+30% palm fibres) and S2 (70% pumice+30% palm fibres). The data shown that there is no significant difference of substrate and interaction (stocking density x substrate) factors to the growth of catfish (P>0.05). Whereas, for the treatment of stocking densities, a significant difference (P <0.05) was found on four growth parameters (initial weight, SGR, RGRm and feed consumption).Keywords : aquaponics, catfish, green cabbage and fish growth

Abstract

ABSTRAKSektor perikanan terbagi menjadi perikanan tangkap dan perikanan budidaya. Perikanan tangkap berkorelasi dengan nelayan dan masyarakat pesisir, sedangkan budidaya berkorelasi dengan pembudidaya yang berada di darat. Salah satu komoditas ikan air tawar yang sangat potensial untuk dibuddiayakan adalah ikan lele. Ikan lele merupakan salah satu jenis ikan air tawar yang memiliki nilai ekonomi tinggi. Permintaan ikan lele yang semakin meningkat menuntut para pelaku budidaya untuk meningkatkan produktivitasnya. Untuk meningkatkan produktivitas maka Ditjen Perikanan Budidaya terus melakukan inovasi dan pengembangan teknologi yang menghasilkan sistem pembesaran ikan lele yang lebih efisien, yaitu sistem Boster. Hal ini seiring dengan pengembangan kegiatan budidaya perikanan menjadi salah satu prioritas Kementerian Kelautan dan Perikanan guna meningkatkan perekonomian masyakat. Permintaan ikan lele yang semakin meningkat menuntut para pelaku budidaya untuk meningkatkan produktivitasnya. Selama ini, umumnya pembudidaya lele masih melakukan pembesaran system konvensional. Untuk meningkatkan produktivitas maka Ditjen Perikanan Budidaya terus melakukan inovasi dan pengembangan teknologi yang menghasilkan sistem pembesaran ikan lele yang lebih efisien. Sistem tersebut salah satunya adalah sistem Boster. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk  perbandingan pertumbuhan ikan leles sangkuriang sistem antara sistem Boster dan konvensional .Dari hasil pengukuran kualitas air suhu 25-27oC, pH 7 dan DO 1,2 – 2,2 selama pemeliharaan pada kedua perlakuan masih pada kisaran yang layak, FCR 0,546 dan 1,1 masih pada kisaran yang baik. Dari analisa keuangan sistem boster nilai RC-Ratio :  1.1 sedangkan sistem konvensional  RC Ratio : 1.03. Umur panen sistem boster 80 hari dan sistem konvensional 100 hari. Berdasarkan hasil analisa tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa  pertumbuhan ikan lele sangkuriang sistem pembesaran boster lebih bagus  dibandingkan dengan dengan sistem konvensional. Kata kunci : ikan lele, boster, konvensional, pembesaran

Abstract

NTT memiliki potensi sumberdaya ikan yang sangat beragam jenisnya. Komoditas unggulan yang dimiliki terdiri atas ikan pelagis diantara  tuna dan cakalang, sedangkan ikan demersal seperti kerapu dan jenis lainnya. Hasil proyeksi tentang produksi hasil penangkapan ikan unggulan NTT di berbagai kabupaten dan Kota perlu diketahui oleh pemerintah dalam menentukan arah kebijakan ke depan. Namun model proyeksi terbaik tentang produksi hasil tangkapan ikan di kota dan kabupaten di NTT belum tersedia. Karena itu penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan model peramalan produksi perikanan laut komoditas unggulan NTT di kota Kupang, khususnya ikan tuna, cakalang dan kerapu. Metode Penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian matematika terapan. Data utama berupa data sekunder yang diperoleh dari BPS NTT dan dinas perikanan NTT. Sedangkan data pendukung diperoleh dari nelayan di lima pelabuhan penangkapan Ikan di Kota Kupang. Analisi data dilakukan mengikuti prosedur peramalan yaitu Mendefinisikan Tujuan Peramalan, Membuat diagram pencar (Plot Data), Memilih model peramalan yang tepat. Hasil yang diperoleh berupa model peramalan produksi, dan ikan Tuna, cakalang kerapu. model ramalan yang paling mendekati untuk ikan Tuna adalah polinom orde 4 yaitu Y = -35.46x4 + 28590x3 - 9E+08x2 + 1E+12x - 6E+14, ikan Cakalang, polinom orde 5 dengan persamaan y = -22.34x5 + 22513x4 - 9E+08x3 + 2E+12x2 - 2E+15x + 7E+17  dan ikan Kerapu mengikuti fungsi polinom orde 6 dengan persamaan y = 2.351x6 - 28432x5 + 1E+08x4 - 4E+11x3 + 6E+14x2 - 5E+17x + 2E+20.

Abstract

The aim of this study was to determine the haematological and histopathological of the Catfish gills cultured in Noekele, East Kupang, East Nusa Tenggara. The fish samples used were catfish taken randomly as many as 80 individuals from the rearing pond owned by local farmers in Noekele, then taken to the laboratory for measurement of length and weight, morphological abnormalities observation, preparation of fish blood smears and collection of gills for histological preparation. The observation of morphological abnormalities showed body lesion (90%), one ventral fins (31.3%), one pectoral fins (28.8%), dull and pale body colors (100%). Erythrocyte cell damage on haematological observation on blood smear were tear drop shaped, fusion, lacerated membrane, nuclear extrusion, blebbed nuclei, sperocytes (deformed cells), lysis and shrinking erythrocytes. Based on histopathological analysis, gill’s damage were secondary lamella edema, primary lamella vacuoles, secondary lamella necrosis, epithelium lifting, secondary lamella fusion. Loss of lamella structure, hyperplasia and presence of parasites.
