Abstract

Pemilihan Mitra Kerja Kampung Kameyakha di Distrik Ebungfau Kabupaten Jayapura didasarkan hasil observasi didapatkan data bahwa 45 rumah masih menggunakan air danau Sentani sebagai sumber air baku untuk keperluan rumah tangga, hal ini menunjukkanketerbatasan penyediaan air bersih yang tidak memenuhi syarat kesehatan, baik secara fisika,biologi maupun kimia sehingga diperlukan teknologi tepat guna. Secara umumpermasalahan yang terjadi di Kampung Kameyakha yaitu Sistem Penyediaan Air Bersih Skala Rumah Tangga belum terpenuhi kualitas dan kuantitas untuk kebutuhan air minum. Solusi pemecahannya adalah program pelatihan pembuatan alat penjernihan air denganmetoda filtrasi dan penambahan aplikasi teknologi reverse osmosis dan sterilisasi lampuultraviolet untuk air layak minum. Target luaran program yaitu telah terbangunnya 1 (satu) unit alat penjernihan air dengan teknologi filtrasi dari sumber air baku Danau Sentani dan 1 (satu) unit alat system Reverse osmosis dan lampu UV untuk penyediaan air minum yang telah terpasang di rumah Kepala Kampung, luaran lainnya yaitu terlaksananya Sosialisasi PHBS dan CTPS bagi anak-anak di Sekolah Dasar Kampung Kameyakha. Secara garis besarmetode kegiatan dilakukan dengan cara penyuluhan/ceramah, diskusi, workshop/simulasipraktek, dan pendampingan. Adanya kegiatan PKM di Kampung Kameyakha telah mengatasi permasalahan krisis air bersih dan air minum yang sehat dan menjadi tambahanpendapatan ekonomi bagi masyarakat serta penurunan angka penderita penyakit kulit dan diare. Kegiatan PKM ini melibatkan multidisiplin ilmu dari tim pengusul yang terdiri ataskompetensi sumber daya air untuk infrastruktur air minum, Teknik elektro, dan ilmu manajemen.

Abstract

Fruit flies are the main pests causing decreased productivity of horticultural crops in Walma Village, Skanto District, Keerom Regency. This pest attack causes significant economic losses for local farmers with fruit damage rates reaching 40-60%. This community service activity aims to increase farmers' knowledge and skills in utilizing methyl eugenol pheromones as environmentally friendly biopesticides to control fruit flies. Implementation methods include counseling on fruit fly biology and pheromone mechanisms, training on making pheromone traps using local materials, demonstration of trap installation in fields, and continuous assistance during three months of planting season. This activity involved 35 farmers from Walma Village who own horticultural land. The results showed an increase in farmers' knowledge by 78% from pre-test to post-test, successful installation of 140 pheromone trap units in 15 hectares of land, reduction in fruit fly attack rates from 45% to 18%, and increase in harvest yields by 35-42%. Farmers also showed high enthusiasm with commitment to continue using this biopesticide. This activity makes a real contribution to increasing sustainable agricultural productivity and reducing chemical pesticide use in Papua region, specifically Keerom Regency.

Abstract

The increasing demand for high-speed wireless communication has led to the exploration of alternative technologies beyond traditional Wi-Fi. Light Fidelity (Li-Fi) technology, which utilizes visible light for data transmission, presents a promising solution to enhance wireless communication capabilities while alleviating congestion in radio frequency spectrum. This research aims to evaluate the effectiveness of Li-Fi as an alternative wireless communication method. The study focuses on analyzing data transmission rates, coverage areas, and potential applications of Li-Fi technology in various environments. An experimental approach was employed, involving the design and implementation of a Li-Fi system using LED lights for data transmission. Performance metrics, including data throughput and signal stability, were measured under different lighting conditions and distances. Comparative analysis with traditional Wi-Fi systems was conducted to assess the advantages and limitations of Li-Fi. The findings indicated that Li-Fi technology achieved data transmission rates exceeding 1 Gbps under optimal conditions, significantly outperforming conventional Wi-Fi in terms of speed. Coverage was effective within a range of 10 meters, with stable performance in various indoor environments. The results highlight Li-Fi's potential for applications in high-density areas, such as offices and hospitals. Li-Fi technology emerges as a viable alternative for wireless communication, offering high-speed data transmission and reduced interference.
