Abstract

Conflict since 2000 between the community and alas purwo national park, triggered by the encroachment of forest areas by the community used for agricultural land area of 10 ha. Problems in the form of overlapping interests from various parties, there is no common perception about the function of the national park. This research aims to identify the causes of land conflicts in the national park area, along with solutions to conflict problems.  This research is descriptive qualitative research with a method or approach to case studies. The selection of research locations was conducted through purposive sampling techniques with village criteria bordering the Alas Purwo National Park area, where there is a conflict of interest between the community and the manager of the national park area. Data collection through interviews, observations and documentation studies. Data analysts use interactive models, namely: data reduction, data presentation and conclusion withdrawal. The results of the study showed the efforts made by the national park in resolving the conflict that occurred in the Patuk Block, until now there has been no meeting point and results agreed upon by both sides. Land conflict resolution uses problem solving strategies that are integrative solutions for the realization of a joint agreement on the sustainability of conservation areas.Konflik sejak tahun 2000 antara masyarakat dan pihak Taman Nasional Alas Purwo, dipicu oleh perambahan kawasan hutan oleh masyarakat yang digunakan untuk lahan pertanian seluas 10 ha. Permasalahan berupa tumpang tindih kepentingan dari berbagai pihak, belum adanya kesamaan persepsi mengenai fungsi taman nasional. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi penyebab konflik lahan yang ada di kawasan taman nasional, beserta solusi pemecahan masalah konflik.  Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif deskriptif dengan metode atau pendekatan studi kasus. Pemilihan lokasi penelitian dilakukan melalui teknik purposive sampling dengan kriteria desa yang berbatasan dengan kawasan Taman Nasional Alas Purwo, dimana terjadi konflik kepentingan antara masyarakat dan pengelola kawasan taman nasional. Pengumpulan data melalui wawancara, observasi dan studi dokumentasi. Analis data menggunakan model interaktif, yaitu: reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan upaya yang dilakukan pihak taman nasional dalam menyelesaikan konflik yang terjadi di Blok Patuk, sampai saat ini belum ada titik temu dan hasil yang disepakati kedua belah pihak. Penyelesaian konflik lahan menggunakan strategi problem solving yang bersifat solusi integratif demi terwujudnya kesepakatan bersama terhadap kelestarian kawasan koservasi.

Abstract

Terjadi interaksi simbolik antara pelayan perempuan dengan pengunjung warung kopi pangku yang sudah menjamur di Gresik. Para pengunjung memaknai warung kopi pangku  sebagai arena sosial. Untuk menarik pelanggan dengan menggunakan atribut baju sexy sehingga menimbulkan pemaknaan dalam interaksi sosial. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis interaksi dan faktor utama yang mendorong perempuan bekerja sebagai pelayan warung pangku. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologis yang bertujuan untuk memberikan gambaran yang jelas mengenai karakteristik dari fenomena yang sedang diteliti dengan menggunakan teori interaksi simbolik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pola interaksi menggunakan simbol prostitusi terselubung dalam melakukan pelayanan ke pelanggan, seperti memakai pakaian sexy. Mereka bekerja sebagai pelayan warung kopi pangku karena  faktor ekonomi, pendidikan dan keluarga.Abstract. There was a symbolic interaction between female waiters and visitors warung kopi pangku that had mushroomed in Gresik. Visitors interpret warung kopi pangku as a social arena. To attract customers by using sexy clothing attributes so as to cause meaning in social interactions. This study aims to analyze the interactions and main factors that encourage women to work as lap stall waiters. This research uses a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach that aims to provide a clear picture of the characteristics of the phenomenon being studied using the theory of symbolic interaction. The results showed that interaction patterns used veiled prostitution symbols in performing services to customers, such as wearing sexy clothes. They worked as waiters of warung kopi pangku to economic, educational and family factors.Keywords: Social Construction, Female Servants, Warung Kopi Pangku

Abstract

The existence of communities around conservation areas has an important role for the preservation of Alas Purwo National Park. Buffer villages have a function to maintain the integrity of conservation areas from all forms of disturbances, originating from outside or within the area that can result in changes in the integrity and function of the national park area. The effectiveness of conservation area management will be disrupted if the participation rate is low. This study aims to determine the form of behavior of the peyangga village community and its interaction with conservation areas. Qualitative descriptive research approach and purposive determination of research locations. Data collection methods through interviews and observations. Data analysis starts from data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. To explain the phenomenon raised by the researcher, using the theory of structural functionalism. According to this theory society as a social system consists of interrelated parts or elements in equilibrium. Changes that occur in one part will bring about change, against another. The results showed that collaborative management of conservation areas by involving the participation of local communities has an important meaning. Through this activity, it can increase public awareness so that it can play a maximum role in the management of conservation areas.

Abstract

Artikel ini bertujuan untuk menjawab permasalahan terkait dengan kegiatan illegal logging. Tingginya keanekaragaman hayati dan ekosistem di Taman Nasional Alas Purwo merupakan fakta yang tidak terbantahkan. Tetapi dengan maraknya illegal logging mengakibatkan kerusakan deforestasi yang dapat mengancam hilangnya kehidupan satwa dan tumbuhan. Penelitian ini menggunakan paradigma konstruktivisme sebagai landasan filosofis dengan desain studi kasus. Penentuan informan dengan teknik purposive, pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi. Sedang analisisa data menggunakan model interaktif. Berbagai upaya telah dilakukan dalam memberantas illegal logging, namun masih ada saja kendala teknis di lapangan. Oleh sebab itu artikel ini diharapkan dapat menjadi sumbangan pemikiran bagi para pemangku kebijakan, baik tingkat daerah maupun pusat.

Abstract

The development of technology by utilizing the movement of the human body is developing very rapidly. One of them is an artificial intelligence system that utilizes head movements to control wheelchairs based on embedded systems. In that study, the head moved as a control to move a wheelchair. Previous similar research have raised several obstacles, one of which is the system is inflexible so that not all users can use it. To overcome these problems, researchers conducted a system design by calibrating the system so that it could classify the direction of head movement according to its class using the K-Nearest Neighbor (K-NN) method. With this, it is hoped that the system can be used more flexibly by users. The system uses MPU6050 sensor and ESP32 microcontroller which are arranged in the form of a headband. The results obtained from the system classification calibration are displayed on the serial monitor in the form of head movement class. The system testing was carried out with four experiments in each head movement class, there were five head movement classes tested. Based on the test results on this system, obtained an accuracy rate of 95% of the K-Nearest Neighbor classification.

Abstract

Virtual Reality (VR) is a term in a 3D environment generated by a computer and has the ability to make users to be able to interact with alternative realities. To interact with virtual reality, users need devices that accommodate user interaction with the VR environment. A room scale VR device is capable of allowing users to interact more freely. VR devices that currently available in the market still require supporting external devices, resulting in a lack of device portability. Based on these problems, researchers developed a device based on head orientation and head position on a room scale. In the development of devices, testing is done to determine the performance of the device system. Testing of device systems involves the application of Mahony Filters as orientation filters. Tests are based on orientation data and position of user's head in a room. The testing of the device system obtains detection accuracy of head position data acquisition in a room area of ​​3.33m2 with an average deviation of 4.9cm from the range of actual space size and for the accuracy detection of orientation data by system, the average degree deviation is 2.59 degrees from the actual degree angle. In the classification of determining the heading by the system, that obtained success rate by 73.5%.

Abstract

Meatballs are a favorite meal of Indonesian people from various backgrounds, there are various types of meatballs based on the use of meat such as chicken meatballs, beef meatballs, shrimp meatballs or rabbit meatballs. Meatballs are also foods that have a delicious taste and nutritional content, protein, vitamins in meatballs can benefit the body. But many meatballs have been circulating with the content of dangerous chemicals in this case is borax. Borax is a chemical compound for use as a wood preservative, an insect repellent and detergent-making material. The use of borax material in meatballs is intended so that meatballs sold by unscrupulous traders can be more durable and have a good texture and shape, so that people can be interested in buying the meatballs. To overcome these acts of cheating, it is necessary to design a system to classify meatballs containing borax with meatballs that do not contain borkas. In order for the system to be implemented, it requires an Arduino Mega microcontroller to process data as well as classification calculations, a color sensor to distinguish colors from the tested meatball object and a pH sensor to detect pH levels on the meatballs. In order for this system to classify, this system will use the K-Nearest Neighbor classification method by using the K value 3,5,7,9,11,13,15,17. The results of the difference in K values ​​will be compared with other K values ​​to find out which K value has the highest accuracy. From testing on the system, the highest accuracy is obtained at 93.33% by applying the K 5 value to the K-Nearest Neighbor method.

Abstract

Evaluating starfruit by looking at its size can be done using a conventional method. This method requires a lot of human resources and time. To speed up the process, digital image processing technology is used. Starfruit is a fruit that is very popular in Indonesia. Sweet and sour taste in starfruit is very suitable to be made into salad. Starfruit becomes a challenge because it has five sections and does not resemble a solid. There is a modified method for adjusting starfruit characteristics. This study uses volume and weight parameters in evaluating. Digital images are taken using a camera connected to the Raspberry Pi. The image obtained is processed for segmentation. Information from the results of segmentation will be used in a modified cylindrical method to produce a volume. Volume will be used in the linear regression method to produce weight. The accuracy of the volume method obtained was 86.64% and the accuracy of the weight method was 86.43% with an average execution time of 3.45 seconds. This solution can be an example of the image processing technology development.

Abstract

Strawberries are fruits that contain many benefits, so strawberries are widely cultivated in Indonesia. In the cultivation, farmers pay attention to the productivity of strawberries in terms of excess quality. Farmers are still counting strawberries conventionally or manually so they ask for a long calculation time. In addition, farmers have never received their harvest now. Therefore, farmers need tools that can help and provide in agriculture known as modern agriculture or modern agriculture. Existing modern agriculture in Indonesia such as rice planting and automatic harvesting equipment, soybean dryers, pesticide sprayers, superior seed sorting machines, and so on. To make a tool that suits the needs of strawberry fruit farmers, researchers developed a mature strawberry counter system in the garden based on hue and saturation values. The hue and saturation values ​​are used because both of these values ​​can overcome the change in light intensity and can be used to detect obsolete strawberries based on the skin color of the fruit. The system uses a watershed algorithm to separate the attached or attached strawberries so that they are counted as different objects. This system is based on Raspberry Pi because it can process images quickly. With this tool it is expected to be used to predict crop yields. The harvest prediction can be used to help the work of farmers in their crops, so farmers can improve the quality of the crop every year. It is hoped that further system development can facilitate farmers to pick strawberries released in the gardens carried out by robots. On the test results obtained by the system, obtained an accuracy rate of 82% with an average calculation time of 7558.1 milliseconds.

Abstract

The condition of an earthquake in a high-rise building often makes visitors panic when evacuating. This requires assistance to direct visitors to the evacuation route with voice commands or text written in the building. Therefore in this research a navigation system on wheeled robots is designed which aims to help the evacuation process at the time of an earthquake in a high-rise building by directing it to the evacuation route based on text orders. In the navigation system is designed to use a camera to recognize text. The camera detection results are used as input to be processed in the Raspberry Pi using the optical character recognition method. The output results are used as parameters to make the movement of the wheeled robot that is moving forward, turn right, turn left, walk backward and stop. Based on testing the detection accuracy obtained page segmentation modes value 6 with an average accuracy of 98.11%. The average result of time needed to detect an object is 48.5 seconds at a test distance of 3 meters and 185.75 seconds at a test meter of 6 meters. Wheeled robot speed obtained high percentage duty value of 13% and 14% with an average detection distance of 193.3cm. The accuracy of the motion results obtained by a percentage of 100% on all four objects except at the RUN object can make movements at a test distance of 50-250cm.
