AbstrakLiterasi geologi berperan penting dalam mendukung kesiapsiagaan masyarakat terhadap bencana, khususnya di wilayah pesisir yang rentan terhadap bahaya geologi. Namun, pemahaman masyarakat mengenai jenis batuan, bentang alam, dan keterkaitannya dengan potensi bencana masih relatif rendah. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan memperkuat literasi geologi melalui pendekatan partisipatif yang dipadukan dengan pemanfaatan teknologi drone sebagai media edukasi. Kegiatan dilaksanakan di Desa Padang, Kecamatan Campalagian, Kabupaten Polewali Mandar, dengan melibatkan sekitar 20 peserta dari Komunitas Pemuda Literasi dan Perjuangan (PULPEN). Metode yang digunakan meliputi studi pendahuluan, penyampaian materi, observasi lapangan, demonstrasi teknologi drone, serta evaluasi melalui pre-test dan exit survey. Hasil pre-test menunjukkan rendahnya pengetahuan awal peserta terkait konsep geologi dan mitigasi bencana. Sementara itu, exit survey menunjukkan respons positif peserta, dengan 94% menyatakan kegiatan bermanfaat, 81% memahami keterkaitan bentang alam dengan potensi bencana geologi, dan 88% memahami pentingnya mitigasi bencana berbasis kondisi geologi setempat. Kegiatan ini juga menghasilkan leaflet dan infografis edukatif yang dapat dimanfaatkan secara berkelanjutan oleh mitra. AbstractGeological literacy plays an important role in supporting community preparedness for disasters, particularly in coastal areas vulnerable to geological hazards. However, public understanding of rock types, landforms, and their relationship to disaster risks remains limited. This community service program aimed to strengthen geological literacy through a participatory approach combined with drone technology as an educational medium. The program was conducted in Padang Village, Campalagian District, Polewali Mandar Regency, involving approximately 20 participants from the Youth Literacy and Struggle Community (PULPEN). The activities included a preliminary study, educational sessions, field observations, drone technology demonstrations, and evaluation through a pre-test and an exit survey. The pre-test results indicated limited initial knowledge of geological concepts and disaster mitigation among participants. Meanwhile, the exit survey revealed positive responses, with 94% considering the activity beneficial, 81% understanding the relationship between landforms and geological hazards, and 88% recognizing the importance of geology-based disaster mitigation. The program also produced educational leaflets and infographics that can be sustainably utilized by the community partner.
