Abstract

Radiative properties and spectroscopic studies of several Nd3+ doped Borate glass system have been reported. Judd-Ofelt intensity parameter and other parameters like oscillator strength (f), effective bandwidth (Dleff), radiative transition probabilities (AR), stimulated emission cross section (s), branching ratio (bR), radiative lifetime (tR) and  experimental lifetime (texp) for the hypersensitive Nd3+ doped Borate Glass are listed and discussed. The variation of W2 values for the different host matrix are expressed their covalency among Nd3+ ions in the glass matrix. In this study, reported that the hypersensitive transition achieved at 4I9/2 ® 4G5/2, 2G7/2 centered at 580 – 585 nm range.

Abstract

The lasing transition 4F3/2®4I11/2 for Nd3+ doped phosphate glass centered around 1.05 – 1.07mm is referred as hypersensitive transition. The radiative properties such as effective linewidth (Dleff), radiative transition probability (AR), branching ratio (bR), radiative lifetime (tR), quantum efficiency (h) and stimulated emission cross section have been obtained for several phosphate and fluorophosphate glass contained Nd3+. The experimental and calculated oscillator strength were used to analysis Judd-Ofelt parameters (W2, W4 and W6) also to predict the quality of factor c. The phosphate glass material with the approximately 69P2O5-15Na2O-15K2O-1Nd2O3 composition at 4F3/2 ®4I11/2 transition  is suitable for laser medium. The enhanced radiative transition probability as well as branching ratio and stimulated emission cross section in this glass are 3694 s-1, 52% and 8.67 x10-20 cm2 respectively.  As in commercial laser, the magnitudes of the emission cross section in this study achieved in the range 4.0-5.0 x 10-20 cm2.

Abstract

The high price of chemical fish feed is a serious problem for “Tani Manise" group partners in Sari Rejo village, Medan Polonia sub-district. The reality in the field shows that the presence of golden snail (Pomace sp) in partner locations has not been utilized properly as raw material for organic feed for gurame fish (Osphronemus gouramy). The purpose of this community partnership program (PKM) activity is to assist partners in problems solving faced with the use of the golden snail as organic feed for gurame fish which has economic value and contains good nutrition. To solve the problems faced by partners, an approach is used with planning methods, training and mentoring. The results of PKM activities show that giving organic feed made from golden snail flour can accelerate the growth of gurame fish from the previous 25.0 g / month to 33.3 g / month. There is an increase in growth of about 8.3 grams per month. The high cost of feed can be reduced to 9,000 / kg using organic feed, while the chemical based fish feed is in the range of 13,000 / kg. The implementation of PKM activities can reduce high production costs, accelerate the growth of gurame fish, and the ability of partner human resources in processing raw material for golden snail pests into organic feed containing good nutrition.

Abstract

Assistance to Anugrah Farmers Group Utilizing Water Hyacinth as a Raw Material for Carp Feed Water hyacinth (Eichornia crassipes) is not only harmful but also beneficial because it can be used as animal fodder, fish fodder, organic fertilizer, and biogas production and water purification. Water hyacinth like other plants contains protein needed by carp (Osphronemus gouramy Lac). The purpose of this community service activity is to provide assistance to partners in utilizing water hyacinth as a raw material for carp feed. The approach taken is the methods namely planning, training and mentoring. The results of the community service activity show that partners already have knowledge in processing water hyacinth as a raw material for fish feed, which can reduce high production costs. Comparison of the price of commercial animal feed and animal feed made from water hyacinth is 12,000 IDR compared to 6,058 IDR and can accelerate the growth of carp.

Abstract

Kelompok mitra yang menjadi target Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakt (PKM) tim Pascasarjana Universitas Negeri Medan adalah SMP Negeri 20, SMP Negeri 38 dan SDN 064006 Medan yang berlokasi di wilayah Kecamatan Medan Marelan, Kota Medan Provinsi Sumatera Utara. Adanya “learning loss” dan “social interaction loss” akibat pembelajaran jarak jauh (PJJ) selama Pandemi Covid-19 berdampak pada ketidak tercapaian tujuan pembelajaran sesuai level berpikir siswa. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan pada mitra, maka tim pengabdi Pascasarjana Universitas Negeri Medan melakukan pelatihan dan pendampingan kepada guru-guru SD dan SMP untuk mengembangkan modul pembelajaran akan digunakan sebagai bahan ajar di kelas. Pelatihan dilaksanakan selama satu hari penuh, dilanjutkan dengan pendampingan terhadap hasil karya modul yang dikembangkan. Dari kegiatan pelatihan ini telah diperoleh produk berupa modul pembelajaran untuk kelas 3 SD, 5 SD, VII SMP dan VIII SMP untuk masing-masing mata pelajaran Matematika dan IPA.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran inquiry training terhadap keterampilan proses sains siswa pada materi Fluida Statis di kelas XI di SMA Negeri 5 Medan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode quasi experimental dengan desain penelitian two group pretest – posttest design. Sampel kelas diambil dengan metode cluster random sampling. Sampel penelitian adalah kelas XI MIA - 1 berjumlah 36 orang sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas XI MIA - 6 berjumlah 36 orang sebagai kelas kontrol. Instrumen yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah tes keterampilan proses sains dalam bentuk essay berjumlah soal 7 item yang telah dinyatakan valid oleh para ahli dan observasi aktivitas keterampilan proses sains siswa. Berdasarkan analisis data diperoleh bahwa ada pengaruh yang signifikan model pembelajaran inquiry training terhadap keterampilan proses sains pada materi Fluida Statis di SMA Negeri 5 Medan kelas XI T.A 2020/2021.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa berbantuan crocodile physics. Jenis penelitian yang dilakukan adalah quasi eksperimen dengan two group pretest posttest design. Penelitian dilakukan di SMA Negeri 10 Medan dengan teknik pengambilan sampel secara cluster random sampling dengan sampel 30 orang siswa di kelas XII MIA 1 dan kelas XII MIA 3. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah tes kemampuan berpikir kritis berupa uraian yang berjumlah 10 soal yang telah dinyatakan valid oleh tim ahli. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh rata-rata postes kelas eksperimen adalah 70,25 dan kelas kontrol adalah 63,25. Hasil analisis data menggunakan uji N-gain diperoleh data peningkatan kelas eksperimen sebesar 0,5 dalam kategori baik dan di kelas kontrol sebesar 0,4 dalam kategori baik.Kata Kunci: listrik dinamis, crocodile physics, kemampuan berpikir kritis
